What are the rudest / most unusual things people have said to you since becoming pregnant? I've had;

Was there nothing on TV that month? Some people plan their children thanks!

Was it planned? Erm no I got married 6 months ago and then suddenly forgot how to use contraception.

You're absolutely huge, you're going to have a massive baby! Ok I'm 18 weeks pregnant, have put on 2lbs and measuring just right but yeah I'm sure your informed comment makes sense.

Are they going to charge you extra to tan your stomach snigger snigger (from a work colleague). I replied no as my stomach is still a lot smaller than many people's...

Same work colleague told me to lose a few pounds (she's 3 stones heavier than me and the same height Confused)

Also the belly rubbing arghh.. good to have somewhere to rant Grin

I work with a bunch of guys so they are constantly making jokes which is fine as I know they aren't really being rude but guy in particular really bugs me, he said 'so did it take you long to fall pregnant afternoon coming off the pill?' Erm... How do you know my choice of contraception was the pill and mind your own fucking business!

It did actually take 18 months and I have been honest with a couple of colleagues about that so I know he is totally fishing for details nosey ass

My MIL said that she was certain I was having a girl because I am 'carrying wide' and because I had bad skin in the first trimester she told me that 'she's stealing your looks'.

I'm having a boy, actually. Ha!!! Of course, she claimed that she knew this 'all along' when we told them he is a boy! Ok...

Also, I have been asked multiple times if I'm having twins. Err, no. One single average size baby with a bump that is apparently totally on track for 29 weeks, according to my midwife.

Ooh, I almost forgot - a male colleague's response to finding out I'm pregnant was 'do you have a problem with wind?'

I think that's my favourite comment so far as it was just so bizarre.

MIL comments on how how 'big' I am whenever I see her. Last time she went one step further and said 'It's not just your tummy though, your arms and legs have got really big as well'! Thanks MIL, just what you want to hear in those last few weeks of pregnancy Hmm

I get regular comments on how big my bump is and whether I'm sure I'm not having twins Hmm

Luckily I haven't had anyone touching my bump though!

24w with DC3. DS1 is 12 and DS2 is 6. Big gaps have worked for us and our family, we've been together nearly 14 years, married for almost 9.

However, the number of rude people that have assumed and made comments along the liens of "Do they all have the same father?..."

Even if they didn't, how is that any of your business random acquaintance/stranger?!?

Midwife: "Ooo, you've got bad stretch marks."

Yes, I have a mirror.

'Humpf, I suppose you're pleased about this are you? My mother, dripping with scorn and just one if the very rude things she said. She was happy about my first but seemingly having a second child is just ridiculous...

Also I had a teeny bump so had many comments along the lines of, "Are you sure you're due this month? You only look about 6 month's pregnant."

Yes. I can still count.

"Ho Ho does that coat come with extra padding? O God...sorry...I forgot you were pregnant. It's ok though!!everyone gets fat when they're pregnant!!!!"

Collegue of husband pervertly said "nice extra bit to hold on to there." Whilst rubbing his own extensive beer belly. *boke

And finally "see I would dread getting pregnant incase I got a lot of spots like you. How do you manage them?" I felt like rubbing dirt in her perfectly made up face.

A work colleague: So is that your bump or is it just pudge?

Also, my boss (male) reminded me to take folic acid. And to maybe not eat that danish as I really shouldn't be eating for two.

Just before I finished work for maternity leave a (male) client said to me 'Good luck with the birth and all that. Hope nothing rips!'

Urgh

Haha wooden.
On Friday evening, along with 4 acquaintances (including 2 men) rubbing my stomach, I was asked if I wasn't worried that breastfeeding would make my boobs saggy. They asked in front of my DH male cousin who looked mortified. I had no clue what to reply. My mum said I should have replied 'well I'm not taking up a career as a glamour model so not too worried no' haha.
