Gender theory pattern?

Hey my husbands auntie has this gender pattern theory I want to test to see if she's right. She said that you will either follow your mum and dads gender pattern or your oh parents gender pattern for example my grandparents had 3 girls my mum and dad had 2 girls, my OH comes from a BBG pattern and we have a boy so by that it should mean my next would be a boy as I'm following MIL pattern. She said were unable to tell if there have been any losses in between. Hope this makes sense please help me prove her wrong haha x

DM - GGGG
MIL - BBBGGGBBB
US - BBB

So in our case your theory works so far but will not be having nine children so can't test it any further

It's random.

There will always be examples that "prove" the theory, but that's coincidental. It's 50/50 every time.

(Waits for some smarty pants to say ACTUALLY IT'S NOT ALWAYS 50/50. Yeah yeah I know... Grin)

Well its going to be bollocks isnt it. I mean every time a man ejaculates he is getting rid of millions of sperm. Unless you are telling me those sperm get into formation of B,B,G (or whatever pattern you are hoping for) and exit the penis in that order and stay in that order and then somehow telepathically tell the remaining sperm that this time was a Boy so to get in formation for creating a girl next time. Hmm

1-how could this possibly be true? Think about it for more than a minute.
2- it's sex. Gender doesn't mean the same thing as sex.

The proper way to tell is the wedding ring on a thread.. You dip it up and down, just once for your first, then see whether ring rotates in a circle or goes over and back in a straight line. For second child, you dip it twice.... and so on.....

Shees. Thought everyone knew that!

(I do actually believe in this).

Of course it's bollocks.

Sometimes this "pattern" will appear to happen by chance - e.g. my friend has 2 DS's. Her DH is one of 2 boys, she's the youngest of 3 with 2 older brothers - but that's all it is. Chance.

Every time you have a baby, there's (approximately) a 50:50 chance of a girl/boy. Sometimes this falls out the way it did for your/your DP's parents. Sometimes it doesn't.

It's all entirely random.

Wow didn't think the theory would cause that it is all fun at the end of the day some people believe different things I personally don't believe it but i wouldn't say it's bollocks that's just rude lol however I find it amusing how you can disagree with the theory giving an example of it working.....
