Just curious!! DD was quite little at 6lbs 3oz born at 40+4 and after a very smooth labour, it all went pear shaped at the end for various reasons! I know there's no exact science to this but I've got a gut feeling this baby is going to be much bigger and the thought terrifies me, I'm quite petrified about what this labour will be like anyway!

I know they say 2nd babies are normally bigger! Was this true in your case ladies?x

DS1 7lb 4oz labour 48 hours from first contraction, born 40+6
DS2 8lb 5oz labour 36 hours from first contraction, born 40+4

I clearly make it too comfy in thereGrin

Smaller by 3oz. Born 4 days later too.

cheeseandcrackers · 25/01/2016 00:05

NewBallsPlease00 · 25/01/2016 00:16

They were smaller each time... 7 lb 10, 7 lb 6, 7 lb 3. They were earlier each time, too.

bluewisteria · 25/01/2016 06:42

Dd1. 9lb 4oz at 40+4. 7 hour labour
Dd2. 8lb 13oz at 42. 3 hour labour
Dc3 due next week but wil be born at 38 weeks or earlier due to PE so I imagine will be smaller!

greenfolder · 25/01/2016 06:53

Dd1 40 plus 14 days ('twas 1995!) 6 lb 15
Dd2 40 plus 7 7lb 7
Dd3 40 plus 7 9lb 2.

rallytog1 · 25/01/2016 08:25

Dd1 9lb 1oz at 40+12
Dd2 7lb 6oz at 39+1

Looking at the charts I think dd2 would have been smaller even if born at the same gestation as her big sister.

Farawaytreeandme · 25/01/2016 10:06

DS1 9lb 8oz at 40 weeks, born on due day!
DS2 7lbs 15oz, 39 weeks to the day.
DC3???? I'll find out in May! But tracking smaller than the other 2 babies already...
Out of interest, did your scans indicate roughly what size they'd be? DS1 was on 95th for size all the way through, DS2 was average all the way through and this one looks to be on the 25th centile for growth....intrigued to know if it'll go through a growth spurt or just be a smaller baby...or a girl...! Smile

I worried about this all the way through my second pregnancy but DS was 9.5oz lighter at same gestation:
DD 39+6 and 8lb 7.5oz
DS 39+6 and 7lb 14oz

dementedpixie · 25/01/2016 10:12

There were only 2oz between my two

SummerMonths · 25/01/2016 10:13

All mine born at 39 weeks:
1st 9lbs 4oz
2nd 10lbs 2oz
3rd 7lbs 6oz

2nd labour was the easiest.

Yankeetarts · 25/01/2016 10:14

Ds was 6lb 13
Dd 7lb 25

Yankeetarts · 25/01/2016 10:14

15 not 25

SummerMonths · 25/01/2016 10:15

Oh and scan said 2nd wouldn't be bigger than 8.5lbs, she was born 72 hours after that scan...

3rd baby was predicted to be big by scan.

BeStrongAndCourageous · 25/01/2016 10:20

Not true in my case - DD was 9lb8oz, DS a much more manageable 6lb14oz!

kimlo · 25/01/2016 10:28

Dd1 38 weeks 7lb 4 21 hours in labour.
dd2 39+3 7lb 5 12 hours in labour.

BeStrongAndCourageous · 25/01/2016 10:34

I was 25 hours in labour with DD - ended up having an EMCS - and 5 with DS (VBAC).
