Am i going mad? negative test in bin now showing positive? *CONFUSED*

Hi all, been trying for a baby now for 8 months and it has been trying. I know people try longer but it doesnt make me feel better. I have tried EVERYTHING..... the cutting down on wine, cigs, junk food, dieting, tracking, ovalation sticks, the 'not stressing', having sex every day, every other day, legs up, you name it i have done it. Last 2 months my periods have been late so after getting over excited my periods have come. I try not to talk to people about it as dont want to sound mad & like the crazy women i have become. But again this month i am 2 week late so i took a cheap test, surprise surprise it was a negative. Never mind i thought as usual i will fill my calender up activities i couldnt do if pregnant. However today i went to empty the bin and found the test.... with a sigh i went to put it in the big black bag and as i did there were 2 pink lines!!! I thought nope its me going crazy then i made the mistake of googling (i am like a google addict of tricks and tips and advice) and it said it is possible its a positive. Dont really want to ask anyone and this website has been a great support over the months as i have reading about people in the same boat as me.
Is there any chance i could be? Not getting my hopes but not sure what to think o do so any help would be great xxx

The start of my period was the 19th December it ended about 24/25th as it says on my app, my fertile days were the 30th to the 4th, I had Sex on the 31st, a thew days later I had implantation bleeding, it started as light pink when I wiped then brown spotting, wasn't much I also had cramping, my next period will be the 17th of January 2016, so it's been about 10 days since I had sex, Iv noticed my nipples have gotten spots on and around the areola has gotten a little darker as it was light before, my cramping has gotten worse it stops sometimes and starts, I have back ache and I have gotten heartburn today (10th January) I also noticed Iv been going to the toilet more but that might be to do with drinking more water than usual, some days I'm hungry and some days I don't feel like eating anything, I know it's too early to take a pregnancy test. Can anyone help me or send me a personal message on what you think please?

I have no advice really i am afraid :( But My friend started getting really bad symptoms at a week pregnant and everyone was taking piss out of her saying it was impossible..... she was pregnant :) so defo a possibility!! I would wait as long as you can to take a test because i did same thinking i had symptoms and taking tests and it was just so stressful. I think after trying so long it gets in your head. But my fingers are ssssoooo tightly crossed for you x

Unknown girl, best thing to do is wait until your period is due and take a test. No one can tell you if you are pregnant or not at this stage all you can do is wait.

Ino people say it can get in your head that's you "think" you have pregnancy symptoms, I didn't think any of it at first, I did take a test but clearly it was too early, thankyou for your help xx

On the 11th I did a pregancy test and came up as a faint positive and then on the 12th I did two and it was the same. Today the 13th I did a different brand and it was negative... Still a thew days until my period is due tho.

So you've had 3 positives? I think that's trying to tell you something .......

unknown - its much more likely to get a false negative, a false positive is very unlikely , so I would think 3 positive tests are a pretty definite sign!

i don't know if its the pregnancy hormones but just got a lump in my throat!! Congratulations im so happy for you!! (creepy I don't even know you ) with my first I did the test and didn't even think to look at it because it was one of them moments that I don't even know why I tested! I didn't think I was preg at all! then went to get in the shower and left the test in the bathroom, come out got dressed dried my hair etc so a good half hour later when I realised it was still in the bathroom.....can you imagine the shock!! DS1 is now 5

This happened to me with a cheapy. I threw it away assuming negative then realised it was actually positive.

Tests are coming out negative now... It feels like something is stuck in mh throat and I keep being sick, surely I can be.

How pregnant would you be if the first test is correct? Would you have missed a period by now? Try to stay calm and assume its a dodgy test.

I would purchase a test like first response or even one of the clearable how many weeks ones.

Wait until the morning at do it correctly with your first wee.

Fingers crossed all is well and then fgs stop testing, you will stress yourself out!!!

I'm confused - so you have had a period?

If so then its quite unlikely you are pregnant coupled with a negative test.

This happened to me, too. Took a test - negative - chucked it in the bin. Went away for the night. Came back, emptied the bin - test now said positive.

I then held my wee for five hours (!!!!) and took another test - and it was also positive. I'm now 17 weeks pregnant!
