I'm currently being induced at 37+4. Had the pessary at 2 but not going to do much as cervix is still long and not effaced at all. Have alot of back ache but nothing else. Currently bouncing on the ball like mad.

Company anyone ?

Hello!!!

Keep bouncing!

zombiemeow · 13/11/2015 21:02

Good luck!

I was induced at 37 weeks, took 3 days for me! Keep bouncin!

TakesTwoToTango · 13/11/2015 21:09

Good luck! Apparently nipple stimulation (expressing!) and orgasm are meant to help... Just some suggestions in case you fancy ringing the changes with ball bouncing Wink

HeartShapedBox · 13/11/2015 21:14

Ooh, good luck Smile

Hopefully things will start to move. Will they wait to morning for second one if this doesn't take?

BreeVDKamp · 13/11/2015 22:17

Ooh good luck!!

Hope the midwives aren't being negative nellies - mine were all 'ooooh, first time mum, you'll be here for days...' Angry

In actual fact it took 1 pessary, 12 hours and I went from 2cm - born in 40 mins.

We obvs need a pic of the baby when it's over!

ExBallerina · 13/11/2015 22:17

How exciting!

Do you know what you're having? Any name choices?

mummyneedinganswers · 13/11/2015 23:27

The hospital I'm in only give one pessary for 24 hours if nothing has happened they then break waters or start drip which is why I think majority of inductions here fail.

Bree yes I have been told not to expect her here tonight or tomorrow but I have faith as I have horrendous back pain atm. I so hope something kicks off as they have just put pessary back in place as it had slipped down FFS. And ofcourse I will update with pic when Albion would be cruel not to.

ballerina we are having a little girl so I can't wait. We have chosen Macie as her name :)

Good luck! I was induced at 36 weeks and it took two pessaries but I went from 1cm to delivery in just over an hour once it all kicked off. It all started with bad back pain for me too. Good luck :)

mummyneedinganswers · 14/11/2015 07:27

Morning everything has stopped back pain gone and no niggles at all I just have horrendous sickness now. So looks like IL be needing the drip soon. Just glad I managed a few hours sleep

Try and rest as much as you can. Hope things move soon for you x

sepa · 14/11/2015 08:30

Good luck!

Macie is a lovely name. Hope she is with you today!

mummyneedinganswers · 14/11/2015 10:38

I'm petrified of when this drip goes up, haven't a clue what to expect at all

OP posts:
RoTo72 · 14/11/2015 11:07

I had drip and things moved pretty quick. I was 3cm with the pessary by then.

mummyneedinganswers · 14/11/2015 11:18

I'm scared the drip will go up but I won't dilate still. Really want to avoid a section due to spinal problems and am so scared il not handle pain. I tend to vomit quite dramatically when in severe pain so can't imagine what labour will be like
