I'm currently being induced at 37+4. Had the pessary at 2 but not going to do much as cervix is still long and not effaced at all. Have alot of back ache but nothing else. Currently bouncing on the ball like mad.

Company anyone ?

How are you doing OP?
Did you manage to get any sleep?

Of course ur scared, just natural. But just keep focusing on the fact that ur at the end now and v v soon ul have ur bundle in ur arms. Dc wont stay in there forever, no matter how comfy he /she is. In a week ul be wondering why u worried. Youl be worrying, if it eating/sleeping/pooping/crying enough/too much. Lol.xxx

Op they increase the drip v gradually and can always turn it down/ off if things get too intense. Tell them about the vomiting in advance and they can have an anti emetic ready if you need it, but vomiting in labour is very common!

Just thought I'd give you an update. Drip was started at 3 and I was contracting. I had regular tightening all evening but when they went in to check my cervix it is completely closed the Dr couldn't even try a sweep so my induction has stopped and the drip will be restarted tomorrow morning for a second try. The drs were concerned I would be too exhausted by the pushing stage. I'm a little annoyed at myself and body but ultimately I'm okay and just can't wait to get this over with x

Ah how rotten for you. But ur at the last hurdle. Fingers crossed this time tomorrow wel see a wee pic of ur bundle

TakesTwoToTango · 15/11/2015 00:26

Ah poor you, I'm sorry there's no progress but I think your doctors took a very sensible decision and it gives you a much better chance of the induction being successful tomorrow. For now, I hope you are managing to get some rest.
