Ho RoTo. I am glad to hear that things have remained settled for you since your previous thread and will keep everything crossed for the next scan.

I hope the results don't take too long for you Moon. I was thinking of you yesterday but was stuck in a meeting and then had parents to visit. After all that I went to bed early and watched rubbish tv. Oh and I also managed to put petrol in my diesel car! Maybe my baby brain is starting already Confused

CityMole · 13/11/2015 21:47

Waah, im in hospital. Baby is absolutely fine but I got a little breathless after my scan this morning and my consultant listened to my heart and says there is a loud murmur. So I'm having some tests to rule out any bad stuff and I should get out, all being well, on Monday.

RoTo72 · 13/11/2015 21:52

Oh citymole hope everything goes ok x

mooncalf · 13/11/2015 23:41

Thinking of you citymole - hope all is well! X

cloudjumper · 14/11/2015 09:03

City Hope you're ok, wishing you all the best! Have they found anything else, what treatment will you get?

EagleRay · 14/11/2015 09:25

Citymole that must have given you a fright - hope everything ok, and really glad there was a doc there to check you out x

brookeberry · 14/11/2015 09:45

city hope you are okay. Sending good wishes Smile

Ellie2015 · 14/11/2015 10:09

Gm City mole, hope its nothing serious and it was just bubba moving a bit after the scan and pressing on ur diaphragm making u a bit short of breath..and that the murmur was an innocent murmur from ur hyperdynamic circulation during pregnancy. Praying for ur speedy recovery..xx

Hope you're ok City. What a scare.
How annoying Sezra. Do you have to get it all drained out? Expensive mistake Shock.
5 weeks Cloud!! So exciting. I have 5 weeks of work left. Can't wait to finish. I wish I could say it will be 5 easy weeks but sooooo much to do.
Took dd to a birthday party today. I don't really know the mums because I'm at work so don't meet people at the school gate. Everyone was offering me seats & bringing me food! They were so lovely. I came away thinking how nice it is to be pregnant. I'll try to remember that feeling when I'm trying to get comfortable in bed tonight & waking up every hour with sore hips Grin

brookeberry · 15/11/2015 16:43

Hi city how are you? Are you getting out of hospital tomorrow?

Hope everyone else is doing well. Not long now cloud Smile

CityMole · 15/11/2015 17:24

I hope so! Although it may be Tuesday as I need more tests tomorrow/ possibly tues. Trying to ascertain if my heart murmur is innocent / down to pressure of pregnant bloody supply or due to something else. I've been quite breathless but I otherwise feel fine. It's all a bit odd- up until last week I was still doing spin and body pump classes, and although I was tired by bedtime, my days were still very active. Since Friday I am zonko! Baby was an angel for his scan though and I've been able to hear his heart through the monitoring over the last few days, so all is well with us as a package, even if I suspect he is taking the best of my strength this weekend! I am dreaming about my own bed.
Hopes verse else is doing oK!

CityMole · 15/11/2015 17:25

Last sentence of gibberish. I hope everyone else is doing ok! X

cloudjumper · 15/11/2015 17:42

city Really hope they are going to let you go home soon, and that things settle down. What a worry!

I've had a bit of a wipe out weekend... Went to a meet-up with ex-work colleagues on Friday, which was really nice, but I stayed out far too long and it has taken me pretty much all weekend to recover. Standing for hours on end is not to be recommended Confused On top of that (sorry for the tmi), I am really struggling with piles since Friday as well, it has been horrific. Never thought they could be so painful, I was only able to walk between sofa and bed yesterday. Fortunately, the cream is helping, and it's getting better now. But honestly! The thing is that they appeared after the constipation issue has been resolved, what's that all about?!
We've managed to get the baby stuff from the loft and cupboard under the stairs, though, which I am pleased about. And I have made a list for my hospital bag (still need to pack it, though).

Hope you're out soon and all is OK city
cloud hope the cream helps a lot - ouch!

I had my 20 week scan last week and we found out the gender (thanks to the sonographer who let it slip) and we're having another boy. DS (3.9) is thrilled.

I was being scanned for well over and hour. (the next morning when I went to sit up out of bed it felt like i'd done 200 sit-ups). They couldn't get the measurements at first because he is a proper little wriggler. They managed it in the end.
Everything was OK except the femur length was on the borderline short side - exactly the same as DS1 (which is a slight worry in as much as he was born 5 weeks early at 3lb 12 oz because my placenta had pretty much failed). So will be scanned every 4 weeks from now on.

Hoping we don't have the same this time round and the asprin will hopefully sort the clotting issue. On the whole all is good. Also found out my placenta is anterior which is a relief because I've been a little worried about lack of feeling, at least I know why now.

Hope you all have a good week.

brookeberry · 16/11/2015 10:51

Hi notfromstepford I've having my 20 wk scan in a couple of weeks. Do they talk you through what they are looking for/looking at as they go? I'm 18 + 3 with DC1 and haven't had the flutters that people speak about and now I'm getting a little nervous!

jennylee42 · 16/11/2015 10:54

I'm 42 & 12 weeks. Complete surprise. DD is 10 and I just filed for divorce. 2015 was a big year od surprises for me. Going to see a fetal development professor on Sat. Will only announce after that...

notfromstepford · 16/11/2015 11:19

Hi brookberry

From my experience yes they do talk you through - especially if you interact with them. They do have quiet times where they're measuring and concentrating, but do tend to tell you what it is they are seeing.

I was struggling feeling more than the odd flutter too and with everyone saying with your second you should feel them much sooner, I was starting to get a bit worried. However, my placenta is right at the front so is acting like a big cushion hence not feeling so much. With DC1 I really wouldn't worry. I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow and I can only feel things when baby is really low down - and this last 2 weeks those movements have got a bit stronger every day. Good luck with your scan!

cloudjumper · 17/11/2015 13:32

How are you doing city?! Have they let you home?

Welcome jenny! What a rollercoaster you must be going through, how are you holding up? Who are you going to see on Saturday, is that for the Harmony test? Here's to an as smooth as possible pregnancy for you!

brooke Yes, they normally explain what they are looking for and what they can see during the 20-week scan, but of course ask if you have any questions.

grizzer I'm with you on the sore hips at night - I tend to wake up every night around 4am, realising that I have not moved position since going to sleep, with my hips being really sore. I have about a million pillows of various shapes and sizes in the bed now, it is just a question of time before DH falls out Grin

And we got all the baby stuff from the loft/cupboard under the stairs on Sunday! Pram has been assembled, car seat is ready, hammock has been checked (but not put it up yet because it takes up so much space), and about 15 bags of baby clothes/paraphernalia are now piled up on the guest bed, waiting to be sorted through.
Still haven't packed my hospital bag, though...

Grizzer · 17/11/2015 16:30

Your house sounds like mine Cloud! Baby stuff everywhere. I'm still trying to get through all the washing of neutral baby clothes but I don't know where to put them once I've washed them! Got family coming for Christmas too so will have to squeeze a blow up bed in amongst the chaos!
I've just had growth scan. All is good - 78th centile. Going to be an 8lber I think. No sign of the fluid that was there last time so I think the baby had probably just wee'd. Still transverse though but plenty of time (and bouncing) to change that.
Welcome Jenny. Sounds like you're going through a tricky time. Good luck for Saturday.
I didn't have flutters Brook. I have placenta at front too so it might be that or it's just too early. Baby doesn't stop moving now!!
Congratulations on your boy baby Stepford. I'm starting to wonder if I should have found out as I'm working my way through bags full of pink deciding whether to bother washing it or not.
Any news City? Are you home?
Thinking of you Moon.

mooncalf · 17/11/2015 20:14

Hi all, hope you are all doing well...

Just heard from Dr with amnio results - bad news for us, though we knew it would be really. It's still a shock.

We have decided not to continue the pregnancy, which is right for is, but has been a struggle to arrive at. Off for more in depth chat tomorrow, then into hospital for tmfr.

So. I will say goodbye and good luck to all you lovely wonderful people now. I really wish you all good things in your pregnancies, and thank you all for all your lovely support over the last few days and weeks - it really has made it that much more bearable and less lovely.

You never know, I might be back soon...

Xxx

mooncalf · 17/11/2015 20:15

Ffs auto correct!! Of course I meant less lonely! Now of all times I get a stupid typo:S

Grizzer · 17/11/2015 20:24

So so sorry Moon. You will be back when you feel ready. I'm so sorry you are having to go through this but glad you & dh have come to a decision together. Give yourself plenty of time & things will get easier in time xx

RoTo72 · 17/11/2015 20:47

So sorry to hear that moon. Wish u all the best at this v difficult time. Xx
