There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

How's everyone feeling today? Feeling awful already. Woke up to a bile vomit run and ended up throwing up my medication too. Haven't had a morning vomit in a while so I'm disappointed. Burning like mad now. Barely slept...was up between 1.30 - 4.30 thanks to nausea, peeing, insomnia. Just want to cry today.

Sorry you've had such a bad start to the day Reebok. I know you wanted to spend some time with your DD today, but sounds like you need to rest after that bad night. So frustrating I know.
I had a better night but have woken up feeling like I'm coming down with a cold. Nauseous too. Spoke to my boss yesterday about a phased return to work starting week after next. I'll only need to actually go to work one day a week, on a Thursday, and will only teach one class for an hour. I can work from home on the other days, on the understanding that it won't be full days, and I can work around times when I'm feeling less sick. I think that sounds manageable.

I can't how was the scan ???

reebok & spandau scan went well thanks :) was wriggling about and vomiting back in full force. Have a terrible headache (which I never ever get).
Sorry for the short reply and non personalised I'm a grump with this headache and off to lie down in a dark room already maxed out on paracetamol for the day

I took your advice Mop and have stayed in bed today. I need rest as I feel horrendous today. I even managed a nap! Helped a little.

Sorry to hear you're also unwell. A cold is just what you need on top of hg! Great about the phased return though.

Spandau yes I have the phlegm too. It's gross and makes me feel sicker. Retch all the time because of it.

Oh is being a prat about me resting today. 'You can't still be sick!' I want to punch him. Wish he would get a stomach flu and feel even a quarter of how I feel now.

Apologies for radio silence and not more personal responses, MiniEalli is still full of cold and wind and vomiting. So I'm exhausted. But still loving eating -currently avoiding tomatoes though , as we think it's contributing to Boyo's vomiting. This makes me sad, as one of the foods I've really missed as a cheesy tonatoey pasta bake, which I've still not had yet!!

Hope everyone's doing okay today. Lots of positive scan news, which is lovely. Pink castle is getting ever closer ladies!

Well ladies I didn't vom on him but I didn't make it to bowl on time and projectile vomited all over floor! Luckily it was in the kitchen on tiled flooring. He had to clean it up...but get this...he held my hair back and rubbed my back as I threw up. He never does that. Haven't managed to keep down anything today so far. 4 vomits and expecting more as I felt so thirsty after last vomit and in need of sugar that I drank some orange fanta. Feel like I've regressed today. Arghhhhh.

heaven you can indeed get amended sick notes. The idea is that the doctor states that you are fit to work if x y and z, then your employer decides whether they can accommodate those conditions. If they can't then you go completely off sick, if they can then that's what you do. Best to get your gp to be as specific as possible. My first amended stuck note stated 'reduced hours' so my boss tried to reduce me from 8 hours to 6. When I spoke to the gp about it he laughed and saI'd that he had meant 4 hours max, did me a new note and specified the exact times he and I thought would be best for me.

reebok orange Fanta... that brings back memories! All I could drink for months! Glad he witnessed some horrid vomiting and very glad he responded so well. Hoping it lasts!

Hurts coming up for me too spandau but I needed sugar desperately. Can feel the burn in chest so think it's coming up but what can I do? 13+1...come on!!! Why do I feel like I went backwards today??

Ealli did it stay down if you drank it flat?

I started with flat Fanta (hubby would shake/open slightly/shake/open slightly!) And progressed to normal fizzy, via different degrees of fizziness. It was the sugar that worked so well for me, I think.

I don't like the taste of it flat. But the problem is fizzy drinks don't stay down because of my reflux. Oh how I wish it was April already!
