I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.

There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos/
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/
If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is
brilliant:
024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy

I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Stupid cow
How you feeling now??
Do you think meds are the reason ?
Sounds a bit dramatic from hospitalisation to nothing surely the midwife would think so too? And ur not 12 weeks either !
Maybe the meds amd the clear up.of the kidney infection has made u feel better?
Fingers crossed all is well...
Maybe a momentary respite I had some brief moments when first started meds and thought somethings wrong... lol no back to full on sickness in no time ...
Hope not made u feel more worried just trying to give a balanced view ....
Ur medical team near u sound like a.bunch of muppet s xxx

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 22/10/2015 13:17

The care around here is shockingly bad - there are a few diamonds around though.
Not taken any anti sickness since yesterday evening and I normally can't go until 3am without taking any :/
That's true with the infection cleared that could make me feel a bit better.
Booked a private scan for sat am.

Hopefully sickness back tomorrow and sore boobs haha! Never thought I'd ask for that!Blush
Xx

spandau1980 · 22/10/2015 13:20

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 22/10/2015 13:42

Oh don't be silly!! I thought it was funny! :)
I'm probably being over anxious but it's strange. Just have a feeling.
He's in work and can't get hold of him. I've had 2 MC but always had the bleeding. I've not helped myself by researching Mmc and all the Drs have been telling me constantly the risks of MC/stillbirth that I've got.
There's a private clinic in town so got them 930 sat morning.
I've consultant tomorrow if my blood results are back so I'll tell them too but he's not much use! Xx

Reebok · 22/10/2015 13:43

Icant I'm sure it's nothing...you could be having a day/hours of respite. I've had some of those...fingers crossed for you.

Baby is fine and thriving! Doing summersalts! Measuring 12 weeks 6 days so I'm now due on April 29th. So relieved.

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 22/10/2015 13:44

Thank you reebok, fingers crossed!

BarmeeMarmee · 22/10/2015 14:00

spandau1980 · 22/10/2015 14:35

Ems10000 · 22/10/2015 14:53

Great news reebok! barmee and icant will be keeping everything crossed for you both xx

MotherofPearl · 22/10/2015 14:59

Brilliant news about your scan Reebok, really really pleased for you. Hope you're taking it easy at home. Always tiring and stressful leaving the house.
Icant, it's understandable that you're anxious, but hopefully it's just as Reebok says, a few hours of feeling better, which may signal the start of slightly better days to come.
Argh, Spandau, you poor thing, a migraine on top of anything else. Your pregnancy really sounds like torture. Hugs.
Barmee, all the best with your scan tomorrow. Hope all is well. Are you planning to find out the gender? Let us know how you get on.
I've just been out of the house ladies! I called past GP's for my sick note and latest Ondansetron prescription, got a Coffee Cooler from Costa, and then went to the 'showcase afternoon' at DD's school for half an hour. Was worried that being in a cramped classroom with loads of children and other parents would bring on a vom, but I stayed at the edge and sipped my Cooler and was OK. Now home collapsed on the sofa. Smile

shoopshoopsong · 22/10/2015 15:15

Glad your scan was good Reebok! Will be thinking of you tomorrow Barmee and icant on Saturday. Hopefully they'll be somersaulting like babyreebok and give you both a happy boost!

shoopshoopsong · 22/10/2015 15:17

Sounds like a hard but good afternoon MoP and glad the coolers are still working for you! Hope you've got your feet up the rest of the day!

Reebok · 22/10/2015 15:35

Will be thinking of you Barmee and spandau.

Mop well done for managing some time out. I've been sprawled out on the bed since getting in. Going to the hospital has taken it out of me and I feel really sick.

Thank you everyone...great news is the flutters I've been feeling are very likely baby as the place I've been having them is where baby is. Sonographer said likely it's the baby I feel especially as it's second baby so will feel it earlier.

Hope everyone is coping well today.

Freshbreadandfaith · 22/10/2015 15:52

Hi ladies, just wanted to let you know that sadly I did lose the baby. I struggled to get pregnant in the first place, apparently after a pregnancy fertility levels are higher I'm hoping to try again in the next few months if everything is OK. So weirdly I'm hoping to be back on this forum again sometime, I always get horrendous hyperemesis in pregnancy and I hate it but I hated losing the baby more so I guess it has all given me a different perspective. I also wanted to thank you all for supporting me through my sickness and bad news and wanted to wish you all the best and hopefully if I ever am back needing hyperemesis support, hopefully this thread will still be going being used by people who need help and support xxxx

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 22/10/2015 15:53

I'm so sorry fresh I'm lost for words :( sending love and hugs Flowers xx

Reebok · 22/10/2015 16:14

Ah Fresh I'm so sorry to hear that Hun. Please look after yourself and take it one day at a time. While you never forget, it does get easier as each day passes. I hope you have lots of real life support but also feel free to message me if you ever want to vent. Also, after both my losses, I found the conception/miscarriage boards really helpful. You are definitely more fertile after a loss...I conceived this one straight after my last mc...no period in between. Will be thinking of you...and yes this thread will always be here to support you thanks to the wonderful Mother Hen. Lots of love and hugs for you xxx Flowers

spandau1980 · 22/10/2015 16:37

Fresh I've been thinking about.you alot last couple of days .
Thankyou for letting us know.
I'm absolutely gutted for you. I will be praying all goes well with a soon to be happy pregnancy and as horrid as HG is I'd be so happy to see you back here !!!
Huge hugs to one strong brave lady x

Heavenscent86 · 22/10/2015 16:40

Icant I hope everything goes ok for you Saturday. A private scan is definitely a good idea to put your mind at rest.
Reebok that's great news about your scan. Really pleased to see that.
Fresh I'm so sorry to hear your news. I second reebok about your fertility being higher after a loss. I conceived my daughter straight after losing a baby. I hope you are doing ok.
I managed to get an emergency ondansetron prescription from my GP while he mediates with the hospital to try and get a longer term prescription arranged. Unfortunately I had to have a blood test last week to test for possible OC and that came back showing low potassium levels. The doctor is concerned about them and has booked me an urgent repeat test for tomorrow morning and says I may need to come off the ondansetron if my potassium is still low. Panicking now as nothing else has worked and I'm fairly sure it's the only thing helping me cope now.

Freshbreadandfaith · 22/10/2015 17:13

Thankyou ladies, baby passed away just after 17 weeks so went through birth process so bleeding from that so will see Dr for genetic testing results and see what Dr says after 6 week check then go from there. Love and hugs to you all xxxxxx

Ems10000 · 22/10/2015 17:16

fresh sorry to hear your devastating news. Sending lots of love at this incredibly difficult time x

shoopshoopsong · 22/10/2015 17:19

I'm so sorry to read your heartbreaking news Fresh I can't imagine what you're going through I only hope you're being kind to yourself and have lots of support and hope you heal well and best of luck for the future xx

MotherofPearl · 22/10/2015 17:21

Fresh, I'm so very sorry to hear your news. You have really had such a sad and difficult time. Hugs to you, and do let us know how you get on. As Reebok says, lovely Lucinda always keeps the thread going. I was first on here in 2011 and here I am again. All the best to you.
Heaven, that does sound worrying. Really hope you don't have to stop the Ondansetron; it's a lifeline isn't it.

BarmeeMarmee · 22/10/2015 19:16

Fresh so so sorry, I have been thinking of you often and hoping for better news. Sending you lots of love.
