tarantula · 22/11/2006 16:00

didnt work that way for me

IdrisTheDragon · 22/11/2006 16:01

I looked pretty much the same with both DS and DD

lulumama · 22/11/2006 16:02

nope-- carried the same with DS & DD!

thelittlestboho · 22/11/2006 16:03

No, I'm all to front and 100% having a girl.

Poppycock, lol.

Twiglett · 22/11/2006 16:04

i was totally the other way round

also high heartrate was a boy and low heartrate was a girl which I belive is wrong way round based on old wives' tales

venusinfurs · 22/11/2006 16:05

It's complete and utter tosh, in my view. Balderdash, poppycock and nonsense. I've practically never met a mother who fits the bill!

mumatuks · 22/11/2006 16:05

I've only ever had boys, and always carried them "out front" or like I've got a ball up my top. (Well a large beach ball or something!!) So for me it 50% works, I can't comment on the girl thing really!

Kelly1978 · 22/11/2006 16:05

I did carry my singles like that but I think it was more down to having more water with dd than ds1 rather than difference of sex.

Trinityrhino · 22/11/2006 16:06

not at all, I've always been all in front and I have 2 girls and supposedly one on the way

MegaLegs · 22/11/2006 16:06

I was big all round all four times and all four were boys.

Twigg I'd heard that high heart rate was girl and ds4's was always fast. (Too fast sometimes)

coppertop · 22/11/2006 16:06

Nope. My bump was the same for all 3 pregnancies. I had 2 boys and one girl.

Booboobedoo · 22/11/2006 16:07

I'm carrying all-round, and it's a boy. (V. big willy on the sonograph ).

Frenchsmallfry · 22/11/2006 16:13

No, I don't believe it. I had one of each and carried them both like the neatest little footballs on the front. Infact every bit of both pregnancys was indenticle.

motherinferior · 22/11/2006 16:13

Nope, another out in fronter mother of girls here.

typhoonsmum · 22/11/2006 16:14

When Preg with DD I was all front and V small. Everyone tld me it must be a boy. So I believed them as that is what I secretly wanted ( DP has a daughter to another relationship) It took a few days to realise that DD was in fact a girl. I'd convinced myself that much. Glad she was as girl now. Wouldn't have her any other way

ludalightsandlanterns · 22/11/2006 16:16

I looked about the same for all my three...only my third (a girl) was a bit lower..
Girl, boy, girl in my case....

opinionsrus · 22/11/2006 16:17

Did anyone "know" or feel different carrying boy/girl???

opinionsrus · 22/11/2006 16:19

Also is the second pregnancy a lot lower - last time I carried very high up, this time a lot lower, feels like its all "dropped"!!!

McDreamy · 22/11/2006 16:20

I was bigger all over with DD and then really tiny bump with DS although he was a bigger baby. Got to 28 weeks pregnant before some people found out!

danceswithmonkeys · 22/11/2006 16:20

I fitted that stereotype exactly! All round with dd, all out front with ds.

Ruwla · 22/11/2006 16:21

It was the other way around for me!!! Carried a girl first and it was a lovely round neat little bump at the front. Then 2 years later got pregnant with DS and turned into a hippo!!! I still have the belly and he's 4 now

I didn't feel different for each birth but because I found out the sexes at the scan I felt "closer" to the baby somehow.

Frenchsmallfry · 22/11/2006 16:23

As I said both my boy girl pg'cy's were identicle, but I am now carrying no.3 and have felt rotten with this one, never had a bout of sickness or pg symptom up to no.3. If it is boy girl related I'm not sure what I'm carriying this time.

Twigglet, I'm with you on the heartrate thing, that was the only difference between my boy and girl but like you mine were supposedly the wrong way round.

Vindaloo · 22/11/2006 16:24

no x

katzg · 22/11/2006 16:32

ok if you are into old wives tales about bumps and the babies sex try this website;

boy or girl

wannaBe1974 · 22/11/2006 16:35

apparently when my mum was pregnant with me she carried in front. her mil was convinced I was a boy, to the extent that when she got the news from whichever family member had heard, she rang the hospital and said, "my dil has just had a baby and I've been told it's a girl, but I think there's been a mistake"
