opinionsrus: I was pretty convinced mine was a boy from quite early on. I think it's because I felt movement so early (12 weeks), and he's a very active, strong kicker.

sweetkitty · 22/11/2006 16:39

DD1 put weight on all over but had a neat little bump too

DD2 was a bump on legs although I started out lighter than with DD1, DD2's bump was a lot bigger but it was all bump, was back in size 10 jeans the next day not the case with DD1.

Think it's a load of old bollocks too.

Twohootsunderthemistletoe · 22/11/2006 16:39

Nope only have the one - a DD and I was all front (and still am - lol!).

opinionsrus · 22/11/2006 16:48

S'all b*ll&cks.

Twohootsunderthemistletoe · 22/11/2006 16:58

Oooh I did it on my answers when I was preggers and it said 60% of a girl and she was!

Well its all fascinating stuff. From what I remember most of the people I know have fitted the desc, big ones are girls, neat bumps boys but there you go...

I don't believe these wives tales, but I do fit the bill - I put very little weight on with DS and just had a very small bump all in front. Everybody said it was going to be boy.

opinionsrus - I tried to do the test but my pillow is to the east not north/ south so I can't do it!!

opinionsrus · 22/11/2006 18:35

Ditto with the pillow I just lied on that one....but one q would not make that much diff....

Tommy · 22/11/2006 20:13

surely the pillow thing is just by chance where your bed happens to be?!

I muissed out the questions that I didn't know - like the wedding ring thing - haven't done that yet

LittleSarah · 22/11/2006 20:15

Nope! I was tiny when I was pregnant, well not tiny but compared to some others, ie had two scans in the last two months to check size of baby as I was so small.

I had a girl.

eidsvold · 22/11/2006 20:44

nope - both all out front - 2 dds.

wrinklytum · 22/11/2006 21:18

No,I was the other way round - all over flab, boy, all at front, girl!

Harry2007 · 23/11/2006 07:56

I'm 31 weeks at the moment, put on about a stone in weight so far and I think it's all gone on my belly which now resembles a large football....and it's a boy by the way!

I was convinced from very early on that it would be a boy.......my friends who have had babies recently can't believe how much he kicks and the movements are getting increasingly violent! He's actua;;y kicking the keyboard whilst I'm typing!

evenhope · 24/11/2006 17:42

Well I fit the stereotype. With DD I put on weight all round, looked like a barrel and couldn't wear trousers. Then 3 boys- each time didn't look pg from the back. This time huge bum, weight all over & we know it's a girl from the amnio.

That test said 73% girl [girl]

DebbsyandBibby · 24/11/2006 17:50

im expecting a boy on monday and im all bump all out front and carried very high.

NomDePlume · 24/11/2006 17:54

No, it's complete tosh !

I had a very tight high, neat all up front bump and had a girl

My Mum's friend was pg at the same time as me and she was like a weeble, her bump was a wraparound job. She also had a girl

It is nonsense, the way you carry the pg is down to the tightness (or not) of your ligaments and abdominal muscles.

paddyclamp · 24/11/2006 21:42

Carried my 2 exactly the same way - had one of each!

opinionsrus · 26/11/2006 16:13

Well just to add - My bump with last one very very at the front and very high. this one still very much all at the front as opposed to being spread but lower down.

Was very much praying for a boy - and was told this thurs at scan its a BOY!!!

Am still getting my head round it - I cried when the lady told me just as I did the last time. I will have my two princes xxx
