Guy i have been getting trapped wind too, have you tried peppermint tea? I havent as i would struggle to drink that let alone keep it down but lots of people swear by it! For me i have been down on all four then lowering my chest to the floor. It helps a little :)

chasingtherainbow · 19/04/2015 07:10

Thanks for listening to me rant guys. He is such a good egg usually but I just don't think he fully understands my role.

Any who. How is everyone?

keys27 · 19/04/2015 07:19

I must admit I'm very lucky In that way because my youngest has cerebral palsy I'm her full time carer so I get to stay at home but when she gets to 5 I will have to go back to work but I have a very supportive mum how looks after them. I can imagine how fustrating that must of been hun. I'm glad youse sorted things out though xx

chasingtherainbow · 19/04/2015 07:29

Keys that's a lot on your plate! Is that the rule now? ???? you have to go back when they are 5!?

Things are going to be very tight for us for the next couple of years, as dd won't go to school now until next sept and I want to be off 18 mo with baby. . I'm kind of mentally preparing myself for it.

Morning all.
keys I'm 12 +2. Just not sure where we will all fit! I'm sure things will work out though....
chasing sorry your husband was an arse! Well done for setting him straight.
sasha when is your next scan? The symptoms sound positive though xx
I'm putting my head in the sand re childcare. I think I would like a childminder this time because ds nursery isn't available any more. But OH will have to do drop offs because I leave for work at 7.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 19/04/2015 09:51

I actually don't mind working just to cover childcare costs. I absolutely love my job and dd absolutely lives nursery. Once all the kids are 3+ then the money I earn will be money we have and we'll feel so rich!
If I had several years out, it would be difficult / impossible to get a job again. I would be mad to give up a job which I find fun and rewarding, is highly skilled and respected, paid fairly well AND is only 3 days a week.

Keys you have so much on your plate! I second sasha's Wonder Woman nomination Flowers

I hope DH is feeling suitably contrite this morning Chasing the whole work thing is a tension for us sometimes as well, and we've not even got kids yet! I have no idea what I'm going to feel like about going back to work or not after having a baby I think everyone is different.

keys27 · 19/04/2015 13:42

Luckily shes not severely disabled. She 2 and 4 months cant walk or talk yet but understands everything and shes nearly walking. This is why this pregnancy I am so nervous because of having such prem babies. My youngest had a brain bleed 3 days after birth nearly lost her but the blood still had oxygen so we were very lucky.
Dont know how I am going to cope with a new born though I am excited but going to be very hard work

Fingers crossed this little one stays to full term.

guy so glad you enjoy your job and pays well. Thats brill hun lots of lovely holidays for you and your family :).

chasing I am so glad things are sorted.

sasha your symptoms sound promising I get so thirsty was going to ask if anyone else was.

Today feel so yuk I have not been sick just feel so tired and cant get this taste out my mout. Tried everything. The only other thing is I have gone off of tea and coffee and now I feel I could have a coffee. Pregnancy is full of worry.

Nearly a new week guys. Good luck for all scans. I am keeping everything crossed for you all.
xxx

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 19/04/2015 14:00

Not for a few years keys! I am worried about managing financially with twins. It's going to be a struggle.
Sorry your babies had such struggles and fingers crossed for full term.

Thats what they say though guy hun theres never a right time to have a baby or babies in your case :). We moved in August took on a really high mortgage we needed more space for LO's needs.

This baby was not planned as I was due to have tests done to see why I had such early babies and miscarriages but deep down I really wanted a baby now so I had 3 LO's 5 and under then thats it. I think its to dangerous to have 4 c sections. I tried for months to fall with the other two. I missed my pill for a few days and I fell pregnant its mad I was in shock because I was sure I had passed ovulation thats why I thought I would be ok.
Still all so happy but I worry about the bills and being right on top of xmas as well. This baby is due 8th december fingers crossed my husbands birthday is 19th December and my youngest birthday is 27th december with xmas in between so as you can imagine I have had a few sleepless night wondering about money. We will always find a way.
As time goes on our expenditure will get less and less hopefully so we can all have a more relaxed lifestyle.
Are there twins in your family hun? Was you shocked when they said twins are was you expecting it?

Glenpip77 · 19/04/2015 16:35

Well just went to a private scan for more info as EPU have us not really info. Quite glad we did so we are not fooling ourselves this will work again. Scan result shows that it's not looking good - pregnancy sac measuring 2 weeks behind my dates and the yolk sac is double the size it should with no sign of fetal pole. Looking very likely this is a blighted ovum and miscarriage no 3 since last may!! ??

Glenpip77 · 19/04/2015 16:36

*epu gave us

Glenpip77 · 19/04/2015 16:37
  • EPU gave us no real info even. I bloody hate auto correct!!
GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 19/04/2015 17:04

Sorry Glenpip. I hope you are finding some comfort in the feeling of certainty you have now. The waiting and uncertainty was the worst part for me. Big hugs.

Oh Glenpip. I'm so so sorry. Sad I wish I had the words..

Gr33dyeggs · 19/04/2015 19:46

Flowers glenpip. I'm so sorry this has happened again.

fromwesttoeast · 19/04/2015 21:02

So sorry Glenpip.
If you are offered management options I would advise surgical. I chose medical management in hospital as it worked well for me in 2013, however this time I've been here for 12 hours and havent finished yet. They are concerned I've lost too much blood, although I don't feel too bad. I have to stay overnight which is horrible.

Glenpip77 · 19/04/2015 21:13

Thanks all.

Sasha, I have an epu scan on Thursday and then a private scan for 2 weeks today if necessary. The sonography said I was 5 weeks with a gestational sac measuring 14.5mm and yolk sac of 4.4mm, she said gestational sac and yolk sac were both regular shaped and my uterus and ovaries were all in perfect condition so no physiological issues. As you can imagine I have been doing quite a bit of research since the scan and 14.5mm is consistent with 6 weeks rather than 5 and the yolk sac is not considered to be abnormal until it's over 6mm. So maybe not quite as cut and dry as I thought earlier. That being said, although I could be a week behind on my date, you would still expect to see a fetal pole at this point so still not looking great. Basically what this says to me is early scans are not an exact science and there are different opinions on growth rates etc, so I'm not making any decisions until I have the scan in 2 weeks, unless Mother Nature kicks in and gives me a definitive answer.

Still not getting my hopes up that this will end well, I just want to make 100% certain that there is no chance before I go for medical intervention.

Glenpip77 · 19/04/2015 21:17

Oh west I'm so sorry to hear that. I had medical management with my last miscarriage, but I was sent home after I had the meds. Things went a bit pear shaped and I got a load to tissue stuck in my cervix which had to be removed manually!! If it comes to it I will go for eprc, but as my last post said I'm not making any rash decisions just yet.

How are you feeling? X

onefootinthebed · 19/04/2015 22:18

Sorry to read this glenpip, it's all just so scary isn't it. It's so horrible being in the limbo.

West hospital stays are the worst, there is just no joy I it. I remember both of my stays I think that had employed a professional door opener, each time I closed it the same woman opened it and kept telling me to stay in bed,I always replied I would if the door stayed closed.........hope you manage to get some sleep .
