My period is due today and hasn't come, I had unprotected sex 11 days ago.. Is it too soon to do a pregnancy test? I bought one the other day and don't want to do it too early and get a false negative advice please shall I wait for it to be 2 weeks since I had sex?

lol just buy a test you can buy them for £1 and I had positive results

Number3cometome · 08/04/2015 11:17

I think this is fake - this person posted before about being 17 and wanting a baby. Clearly she was given a resounding 'Don't do it' and is now attention seeking.
Is it still school holidays by any chance?

Riri17 · 08/04/2015 11:35

Like I said before I done the hpt and it didn't work and I spent 13 quid on that and not going to keep wasting my money on it I will go to doctors next week and ask for a test think your being a bit harsh to be honest some of the stuff your saying

And I work Thankyou very much I am a Carer in a elderly home you can think what you want this is not fake I'm a real person with feelings you know so thanks for your opinions but you can leave now.

You don't need to spend £13 on a test. You can buy them much cheaper. The GP will only do a urine test they won't just do a blood test because you want one. It's a waste of their time.

glasgowlass · 08/04/2015 11:52

You asked for opinions. Folk are telling you to buy another test. A cheap one will do. It's easier to get a container to pee into & dip the test in to help prevent flooding, you say you're a carer in an elderly home so a container should be easy to get a hold of for you.
When you don't get the response you want you have a strop & tell people to "leave". By looking at your posts I would question whether you are mature enough to be a mother. You act very teenage-like.
If you go to your GP what makes you think you week get a blood test? At best they will do a urine dip (they use the cheap tests too). Doing a test at home is much easier. It does not warrant a GP appt.
You have been given advice on here. You don't like some of it. Shit happens. No need for the attitude.

MorgansMummy24 · 08/04/2015 11:58

I do find it abit odd that you've updated to tell us you still haven't tested

Whatabout · 08/04/2015 12:04

Glasgowlass she is a teenager!

MorgansMummy24 · 08/04/2015 12:12

Also you said the test you took 'said error' clear blue digital tests do not say anything when they have not worked, a little flashing book appears

glasgowlass · 08/04/2015 12:17

Yes I know that but what I was trying to say was that she didn't seem like a mature teenager IYSWIM? I know plenty of teenagers who have a more mature disposition & they still feel that they are too young to be parents. The OP and her attitude remind me of a younger teenager Eg throwing a wee tantrum when someone disagrees. Hardly the behaviour of a mature person is it? Spit the dummy time.

Whatabout · 08/04/2015 12:32

Glasgow, preaching to the choir, just wasn't sure if you realised. We best both leave now ;-)

glasgowlass · 08/04/2015 12:35

haha sorry Whatabout!

sausagedogsrus · 08/04/2015 12:39

If she was a mature 17 year old, she would realise that planning a baby on a whim like this is irresponsible. She is not mature, hence the situation she finds herself in.

marywarner777 · 08/04/2015 13:03

I think it will be too late if you will wait for 2 weeks. It will be better if you do the pregnancy check as early as possible. So in case if the test comes positive then further decision can be taken.

fairgame · 08/04/2015 13:14

Mary OP has planned this, she wants to get pregnant so there won't be any decision to be made.
This is her previous thread
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/2340119-Could-I-be-pregnant

Number3cometome · 08/04/2015 15:07

Well last year she thought she was pregnant on the implant after a one night stand.

I'd suggest you get a full set of STD tests to go with it.
Pretty sure they offer them freely for kids.

Number3cometome · 08/04/2015 15:09

And if you are really a carer, you would know what hard work it is to look after someone and would probably think a bit more sensibly about 'planning' a baby at 17.

Good luck OP, you're going to need it.

sausagedogsrus · 08/04/2015 16:40

Although it hardly was a plan in the true sense of the word. She just decided to let her boyfriend 'come in me' one night on a whim.

MorgansMummy24 · 08/04/2015 16:51

Lol @sausagesogrus I remember that post, totally forgot it was this person. Oh Deary me

fairgame · 08/04/2015 16:54
