SGB my mum claims the menopause has made her frustratingly broody. She is so glad to be having a grandchild soon to remind her of all the bad bits.
Well I'm due any day, as an ex nanny I know the type of stuff I am more likely to use but even that hasn't stopped the avalanche of baby stuff.
Transport: Bugaboo Cam 3 & Maxi Cosi Car seat
Sleeping: Amby nest. Snuzza baby breathing monitor.
Considering a co-sleeer cot too we will wait till she is born then see how we feel.
Changing: changing table, defintely a marmite item but I really like them. The way to get their worth out of them is to keep it downstairs or wherever you will be sending the most time.
Changing mat, nappy bucket, Cloth prefolds, lots of Motherease sandies, wras, cloth wipes. I also have 2 packs of water wipes & disposable nappies for the early days.
Slings: ring sling and a stretchy borrowed from a friend.
Clothes: mostly all sleepsuits, vests, hats in white/cream and bright colours. I was trying to be strict with not going OTT, but the grannies couldn't help themselves.
Blankets: 1 large Aden & Anais, 1 fleece, 4 swaddles.
I didn't want to buy to many as I've always found people have mountains of blankets that never get used.
Unless we have a refluxy baby in which case I will buy more.
BF stuff: lanoshin cream, bf bras and boob pads.
I have bought 90% of my stuff 2nd hand I'm pleased at the savings we have made, I wish I had kept a total.
But even with the Bugaboo I reckon I have spent around £700-800.
