Currently 38+4 with my first. Been on mat leave since 36 weeks and feel like I've been pregnant forever!!
Anyone else fancy a good old fashioned moan about waiting for our babies to arrive??

I'm definitely up for a good moan...
38+1 - feeling absolutely crap! Could't stop crying yesterday and mega constipation has kicked in again Sad.
I also put my phone in the washing machine today (no crying yet) so no way of communicating with DH if anything did kick off and have the map of the world in stretch marks on my bump Sad Sad that won't stop itching.

lillamyy1 · 27/03/2015 15:57

Yes! Totally fed up! 38 wks today. Sleep seems a thing of the past, very heavy, SPD, constantly drinking gaviscon to try and ease the horrendous indigestion, pregnancy rhinitis which means when I do manage to drop off I keep poor DH awake with my snoring and have had a sore throat for a week and a half now which I'm not allowed to take anything for (not even strepsils or herbal 'throat soothe' tea apparently!) constantly thirsty, can barely eat anything due to stomach being so squashed and have also gone off most foods so when I am hungry it's very difficult to find anything I want to eat!
So sick of not being able to run for the bus and having to wait for the green man even if there isn't a car in sight just in case one comes round the corner.
Also getting really peed off at everyone constantly asking if we've agreed on a name yet (as they all know it's a point of contention).

IvegotaCaveTroll · 27/03/2015 16:13

Bitchpeas me and u are similar with the vomiting.
Iv had very painful ?braxton hicks today- but now they've tailed off. Just a lesser pain every 20 mins now. Mw thinks possible pre-labour which can apparently last weeks.
36+1 but my dates make me 10days later so who knows!

DontBeBlueBeARainbow · 27/03/2015 17:04

40+4 today and oh so impatient. I think I'm lucky really, not really uncomfortable or in pain, just fat and emotional. Poor DH yesterday, I just spent the day crying and telling him he's not a good husband....
Thing is my mum only went 2 days over with both me and DSis so I just assumed! Never assume!!!
Spent the week doing everything in the book, daily sex, daily walks, daily cleaning skirting boards/shower, squats, did 1000 rotations on the ball yesterday... next on the list, alcohol.

BananaToast · 27/03/2015 19:11

36+4 and feeling sorry for myself today. SPD nearly made me cry walking from the tube to the office this morning. Only 3 days left at work and it can't finish soon enough, I'm totally over it now.

I'm not expecting baby to put in an appearance any time soon but at least when I'm on mat leave I can rest up and only move when I absolutely have to.

I don't know how you ladies with awful sickness are coping, SPD alone is ruining me!

lillamyy1 · 28/03/2015 00:03

Yes, I think sickness is the worst. Flowers to everyone who's suffering.

gcerron · 28/03/2015 09:07

Ohhh I am in shock! This is my first pregnancy and I am in my early stage 11 weeks!! I finish my job absolutely tired but I was thinking this was just during the first trimester when we have some hormones higher!! But it seems that the tiredness will be for quiet a long time!! Good luck for all of us!!!

lillamyy1 · 28/03/2015 23:11

Well in truth gcerron I was much more tired in the first trimester, as in completely exhausted mentally and physically, like I'd be best of being in bed all day, partly due I think to feeling so sick all the time. Now it's more like a lack of energy and the feeling of being weighted down but for me it's not nearly as bad as the first trimester - that was horrendous!! It's just that as time goes on it kind of gets more frustrating iyswim. Because the novelty wears off and you know the baby's ready to come out so it's just a waiting game! Or at least that's how it's been for me.
So it's quite likely that you will feel better. I mean, however bored/heavy/frustrated/uncomfortable I am now, I'd rather have felt like this in the first trimester than how I did.

weeblueberry · 30/03/2015 19:13

How's everyone? Any babies?

I'm now 40+4 with no signs of her appearing tonight (apart from some lower back pain which I think isn't related Sad)

I've been mentally making a shit list of people who are pissing me off. Top of ehe list is the woman from McDs who told me the milkshake machine wasn't working. Although my sister who texts EVERY DAY asking if she's here yet is getting up there too...

lillamyy1 · 30/03/2015 20:59

Ha oh god, I'd block your sis if I were you!
No baby here but increasingly fed up.

IvegotaCaveTroll · 02/04/2015 18:40

Any babies yet?

Iv got nasty separated abdominal muscles.

And y does mum ring every miring at 10 am when I am only just asleep after being up all night!

lillamyy1 · 02/04/2015 23:54

Oh no, what does it mean if you've got separated abdominal muscles? Do they go back together afterwards?

londonlivvy · 03/04/2015 00:24

39+2 here and SPD is horrid. Keeping me awake with the pain. Have to go out every morning and afternoon as we have a toddler to look after. But hurrah it's Easter so DH will be home to inject some much needed enthusiasm and energy.

Now if my dodgy tum would settle, I might actually get some sleep.

KensingtonRose · 03/04/2015 02:03

37 + 1. Feet, ankles and lower legs puffed up to the extent that I only have 1 pair of shoes that I can get on my feet but even they are so tight that my feet rise like bread to the shape of the shoe.

Currently trying to get to sleep sat up in front room as I keep waking myself up being sick into my mouth due to indigestion.

I have SPD and feel like my fanjo is being monkey wrenched apart.

I love my baby girl so much and I desperately want her to stay where she is for now but I am so totally over this!

Oh and according to everyone, I'm having it easy because I escaped morning sickness. A quick way to lose friends is to tell a pregnant lady she is having it easy!

Thanks for the opportunity to have a moan!

bohoec · 03/04/2015 04:09

I love this thread. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not alone!

37+6 but DD came at 37 so in my head this one should be here by now. I've had UTIs, heartburn since about 20 weeks, sickness, ulcers on my tongue,a cold from hell for the last three weeks. I've just felt crap for the last eight months.

DP woke me up an hour ago to ask if I wanted a drink! I know he was trying to be nice, but I was asleep! Unlikely to get back to sleep now and the toddler will be up in a couple of hours.

I've been bottling this all up in RL - feels v good to rant (sorry!)

hst986 · 03/04/2015 07:57

I love this thread too! 40+2 and woken up this morning with heartburn (standard since v early on), a painful sty and the feeling that my backside is about to explode!
Anyone else find themselves trying to rationalise absolutely everything as a 'sign' that things have started?!
I know you can't place an order but I'd really like the baby in time for Sunday, tried every old wives tale besides sex..... He just won't, says he can't knowing its in there and has since we found out! Anyone else had that?! Hasn't really bothered me until now tbh and that's only because it's supposed to be so reliable at getting baby on its way.

Scotinoz · 03/04/2015 09:49

Lovely to read all the moaning Grin

I'm 35+2, terrible pelvic pain, a 16 month old who loves to run and climb on me, ghastly heartburn, I've eaten my weight in chocolate lately and I just want to sit and watch TV in peace. Cannot wait for my induction at 39 weeks!! But also bricking it at the thought of labour and having two children...

Foggymist · 03/04/2015 09:49

36+4 here, stuck in hospital for my fifth day now with pre eclampsia, going nowhere until delivery :( Baby's size looks good for gestation and he/she/it is having no ill effects from the high blood pressure which is all good. I'm hoping for induction next week at 37 weeks, if I've to stay here for nearly 3 weeks I will be scarred for life :( so very very tired from the nighttime noise and burning no energy day to day.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 03/04/2015 09:55

Can I join in? 40+11 today and completely fed up!

I'm booked in to be induced tomorrow so unless this baby decides to come in the next 22 hours I can kiss goodbye to my planned home birth.

Apart from sore hips I'm not actually uncomfortable I'm just fed up waiting.

waiting78 · 03/04/2015 11:02

38+1 here. Not feeling too terrible right now, but I had a sweep yesterday and so am in the hopeful phase that something will start! had a few contractions and lost some plug, but nothing conclusive

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 03/04/2015 11:04

My hospital won't do a sweep till 40+6, I've had 3 and still nothing Sad this little bugger is determined to stay where he is

lillamyy1 · 03/04/2015 12:42

hst968 yes! Very frustrating! Wondering how long it'll be afterwards until he's brave enough to go anywhere near 'down there' too as he's so squeamish Confused

Feckeggblue · 03/04/2015 16:10

39+5 and all sorts of pain in the last hour- stitch, throbbing aching gah! Think I have been walking round too much today.

Spent all day yesterday in hospital being monitored as baby hadn't moved. Been booked into a extra scan Thursday. I hope I don't make it!

IvegotaCaveTroll · 03/04/2015 16:50

Oh I hope everything is ok Feckegg

Feckeggblue · 03/04/2015 16:59

It's easing thank you. Love the lovely hot water bottle Easter Grin
