Gender predictions using the nub theory.

This is my wife's 12 week scan picture and I welcome all predictions on the gender using the nub theory :-)

I think the nub is actually in shadow and not very clear enough to assess :( I'm no good with skull theory but I'm sure those that are will post their predictions

The nub is very clear in the first picture.

Mine looked just like this and it was a girl!

Going on skull theory I would say girl.

Sorry but I wouldn't say that was a nub. It doesn't look like the shape of a nub nor the right position.
Looks to me like part of the pelvic bone you see. If you google nub pictures then they look quite different to that picture. They are quite bulbous.
My gut instinct would say girl though in general. Will you be finding out at the next scan?

You won't be able to tell the gender for a few years at least. Sex and gender are different things

I've done a lot of research into nubs and that is definitely the nub, it looks just like many other pictures I've seen. The bulbous ones tend to be boy nubs and the girl ones tend to be girl nubs.

Just a heads up that the picture has your wife's full name and hospital on it. Not sure if you wanted to crop that out.

MorgansMummy24 No offence but I think you'll find your wrong there, I would suggest looking up the definition of the word "gender" as I think you'll find its another work for "sex" the word your thinking of is "sexuality" which is obviously not when we are taking about here.

There appears to be an outbreak of people on MN at the moment who don't understand what 'gender' means.

Well, to me that link says that gender and sex do not mean the same thing!

I'm sorry but I'm not going to be drawn into a debate/argument about the definition of a word. All I know is that the word gender is a commonly used word amongst midwives and sonographers when talking about whether it is a boy or girl, the link states that it means "the state of being males or female" and "the members of one or other sex"
