Lol, well I am 33 and this is my first pregnancy, I don't think this age is old at all.

I was knackered up until about 15 weeks and have only just started feeling tired again at 28 weeks, but as far as I can tell most women feel like that at any age :D

Bue · 09/03/2015 10:14

I don't think the exhaustion has anything to do with age - it's the reality of early pregnancy for nearly everyone! You will get your energy back. I'm nearly 35 and pregnant with number 1. Trust me, you're not old Smile

my mum was 18 when she had her first and 32 when she had her last. she says youngest dbro was the easiest as she was more mature and realised that it is no good stressing over everything. she said she had more patience and just had a better experience overall.

HazleNutt · 09/03/2015 10:36

Our entire antenatal class was 35+, the oldest was 43. First DC.

sianihedgehog · 09/03/2015 10:38

Psht, I'm 37 with my first. My grandmother had her first at 40.

pnutter · 09/03/2015 11:06

I'm 44. Look 66. Feel 88 xx you are a spring chicken . My dc2 was born when I was 36.

Schoolaroundthecorner · 09/03/2015 11:09

I'm 34 and having my second, had my first at 30. Not noticing any major differences between the two times.

GoooRooo · 09/03/2015 11:11

I had my first at 37 and now my second at 41. At 33 you're practically a child yourself Grin

LittleRobots · 09/03/2015 11:11

Where I used to live I was the youngest in my postnatal group at 30. Where I moved to I felt old having my second at 33!

sosix · 09/03/2015 11:12

You might feel it but you are not! I had last dc at 34, that was very hard.

WindYourBobbinUp · 09/03/2015 11:16

When I was in London I was the youngest at the birth class at 32! Whereas my hometown, most of my friends in their 30s have kids at high school. It really depends where you are in the country what's 'old' and what's not.

TheKitchenWitch · 09/03/2015 11:41

42 years old, 35 weeks pregnant, some days I'm fine, others (today) I feel so old I could cry.
:)

EmberElftree · 09/03/2015 12:03

I'm 36 with my first and sometimes feel ancient too I think it's just the tiredness (and the flaky skin and the dandruff etc etc). When I was around 6 weeks I looked amazing, great skin and hair and now I feel as if I'm being sucked dry! All worth it of course for my little wriggler.

TinyMonkey · 09/03/2015 13:04

My mum was 39 when she had me, I was 40 when I had my first, and fully intending to have another! I actually had a stupidly easy pregnancy and felt fine mostly. I was a lot fitter at 40 than I was in my twenties when I smoked and drank like a trooper and did no exercise.

At my NCT class the youngest was 34, oldest 44.

pinkie1982 · 09/03/2015 13:07

Im 32 and this is my first. My sistersaid I was too old...she had hers at 18 so I suppose I am old up to when she had hers! I think Im more sensible now though??!!

geekymommy · 09/03/2015 13:30

I'm 40, pregnant with second DC. You kids get off my lawn, or I'll beat you with my cane!

GymBum · 09/03/2015 13:39

Well I was 37 when I fell pregnant with DD and we will be starting ttc DC 2 (fingers crossed all works out well) in June and I will be 39 then.

loveandsmiles · 09/03/2015 13:52

You are young!! I had my first DC at 34 and expecting 6th DC at 47!!

Blazing88 · 09/03/2015 13:54

I turned 40 a week after giving birth to no 2.

I don't feel old at all.

squizita · 09/03/2015 14:03

I was 36 when dd popped out after 5 hr start to finish labour.
Don't worry ... We've evolved to give birth safely from late teens to late 40s! Smile In the past women often had their last after their first was grown up and married!

Gemzybelle · 09/03/2015 14:48

I'm due DD2 in the next few weeks and I'm 31. Was 21 when I had DD1.

I have noticed a few more aches and pains this pregnancy than I did when I was younger but I was also a lot slimmer when I had DD1 as well so could be down to that.

I wouldn't say early 30s was old to have a baby by any means. Congratulations Flowers

Ragwort · 09/03/2015 14:51

You are very young - I had my first at 42 - early pregnancy is tiring for anyone. Flowers

dm86 · 09/03/2015 14:58

Have to say I understand where your coming from a little!

I had my first at 20 and it was a breeze! Just had my 3rd dc two weeks ago at 28 and although Im not old I did feel a lot older than when I had my first! Think that might have been having to run around after the other two though lol!

D0nnaO · 09/03/2015 17:45

I'm 26 & 32+1 with DC1. All I want to do is sleep!
