I am pregnant with my first at 33. I'll be 34 when she's born. My DP is 43. We do not consider ourselves to be old!

I'm pregnant with my first at 31 (will be same age when baby is born). Among my friends of similar age everyone is either brand new parents, pregnant now, or hasn't had their first yet.

32 for a second child is not old at all!

I'm 31 and pregnant with my first. I will be 32 about 6 weeks after he/she arrives!

Out of my close friends, only 1 had a child before 30 and I am the second one to have a child. I don't feel too old, I was definitely not ready even a year or two ago. I like the fact that we've built up a home/career/life ready to support a child rather than struggling through my 20s to do all that and raise a little one.

I'm 36 expecting my 2nd DC.
You're not old and the tiredness is normal

I'm having my first in August and he's due a week after my 32nd birthday! I don't feel too old at all...I feel very wee and scared! ;)

I'm pushing 37 and expecting my second. Met up with a friend the other day, who turns 40 this month and is also weeks away from having her second. As we wheezed around the park after our toddlers we did then watch the 'younger mums' with envy and lament that they must bounce back quicker...and yes, we meant the girls in their early 30s!

32 is young!!

I found being pregnant at 18/19 and 23 was way easier than being pregnant at 29 and 31.

I also coped with the tiredness of having a newborn better and had much more patience. Although DC1&2 were really placid easy going babies and children. DS2 was difficult from conception, and still is and there's only 16 months between him and DC4 which in itself was hard going.

My advice to you is to move to North London. We've all got a decade on you when we have our babies here, and you'll get to feel so smug when you see us doddering round the park :)

Seriously, all the best with your pg and 32 is absolutely fine

Crazy YY - West London too. Shuffles off thanking the powers that be for 10 min permanent cover all grey hair dye...

LittleRobots · 11/03/2015 16:46

Ha I said I was the youngest at 30 where I used to live... outskirts of NW london!

popalot · 12/03/2015 08:23

I know what you mean - this time round and almost a decade later I feel much more knackered. But then, I work harder, have another child to run around and was a bit more heavier when the preg started. SO it's not just age that contributes. The second trimester will be better...just have to rest a bit more than you did before!

I had my first pregnancy (twins) at 22, and second pregnancy at 34 !

I felt the tiredness a lot more the second time around think it's because my life was structured - I work in a 9-5 job and my twins were finishing their primary education/starting secondary school - plus they had clubs and social arrangements to be at. The first time round, I worked in a pub so could have lie ins and naps and I didn't have to be as organised.

32 isn't old from a physical or emotional point of view - and there are more mums having children in their 30's and 40's than ever.
