I'm sure the answer will be in here somewhere, but I can't find it.

Soooo, how much do the photos cost? I'm sure it varies in region/hospital - I'll be going to Harrogate.

£1 each pic at 12 wk scan and at 20 wk scan.

Scotinoz · 02/03/2015 21:26

Just for comparison, I got half a dozen photos and a DVD at both the 12 and 20 week scans...scans both cost $200 though (£100).

£2 a photo sounds good to me!

PotteringAlong · 02/03/2015 21:27

£2 at the QE Gateshead

LondonSuperTrooper · 03/03/2015 10:02

I had to pay £10 for 3 photos at Royal Surrey. I paid at the 12 week scan and 20 week scan.

Hazelnut89 · 03/03/2015 10:04

RUH in Bath was £10 and you had to have cash! We got quite a few pictures for that though

DoYouWannaBuildaSnowman · 03/03/2015 10:07

£2:50 for a ticket, had to be cash. The lovely sonographer gave us 3 photos and only took 1 ticket at 12 weeks. Same thing at 20 weeks. And got a beautiful picture of dds face at 36 weeks, totally unexpected and helped make the day better (was admitted immediately after the scan)

icclemunchy · 03/03/2015 10:13

£4 at St Mary's Paddington, I think it's ment to be for one but have always had a few and only paid at my 12&20 week scans both times. I had grown scans at 28/32/34/36 weeks and was offered free pics at all of them where she could get good photos.

Price was the same when I had DD1 4years ago

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 03/03/2015 10:16

Free, I've never heard of paying for pics until I came on here

Feckeggblue · 03/03/2015 10:17

£3 for 12 week- I'm not sure we paid at all for 20 week

Littlepig8834 · 03/03/2015 14:39

£10 for 3 pictures in Nottingham, the machine took cash and card.

FreeButtonBee · 03/03/2015 14:43

Well, they say you have to pay but when I came out of the scan room, the receptionist didn't ask me if I had any photos so I didn't bother saying that I had them...

OMC1 · 03/03/2015 16:43

£5 for mine (based in West Midlands). Can't believe how much the prices vary and how expensive some are! They know we just have to have them, though!

duckbilled · 03/03/2015 16:45

£10 here.

Murphy29 · 03/03/2015 16:50

Wow I'd never heard of paying until now. All free and with successful pregnancy we had extra scans so have pics from 6, 6.5, 8, 10, 12, 13, 20, 30 and 35 weeks Smile

OMGBabyNo3 · 03/03/2015 17:39

Also never had to pay for a scan pic here. On baby no 3 here and at 9 weeks already had 4 scans!

MrsPopple29 · 03/03/2015 18:24

Both of ours were free! (Southend)

rugbychick · 03/03/2015 18:27

No idea, as once the songrapher knew I was a nurse at the hospital I had my scans at I was given about 4-5 scan photos free for each scan I had done. Although none at the growth scans I had done at 32 and 34 weeks

glasgowlass · 03/03/2015 18:32

I've never paid for an NHS scan pic. DS1 we were given 3 at dating scan & paid for private reassurance scan at 27 weeks as up here when I had him there were no routine anomaly scans at 20 weeks.
DS2 got 4 pics at 24 weeks ( late booker, due to my PCOS I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 19 weeks) then got at least 2 pics from growth scans at 27,29,31,33 &35 weeks. He was born at 37 weeks the day before I was due for my next growth scan.

BadIdeaBear · 03/03/2015 18:50

at York it's £5 for a token (cash into a machine, and you give the token to the mw/ sonographer). You seem to get between 4-5 stills.

CherryLips1980 · 03/03/2015 19:14

Tigger, I had my DD at Harrogate & am having #2 there too, they are £4 Grin

Chchchchanging · 03/03/2015 20:44

2d early reassurance/ dating £40
3d I think £60 (not planning that so wasn't paying too much attention!)
Mids

Chchchchanging · 03/03/2015 20:45

BlushSorry I thought you meant private scans!!
Hospital scan pics £3 each 12 weeks only, 20 week no pictures available as for anomaly check only Hmm
Hence then paying for private ones

THEworrywart · 03/03/2015 20:49

Chch you didn't get a pic at 20 weeks? That's so silly! Regardless you're going to want a pic of the baba

Is this common?

thatsn0tmyname · 03/03/2015 20:50

£3 each, coins only do the machine.

thatsn0tmyname · 03/03/2015 20:51
