Hi Ladies

As a busy working pregnant woman I am looking to get some inspiration from what you're all all eating throughout the day at work. I am trying to stay healthy but complete hunger often leads me astray into empty carbs. Also I find it hard to find interesting varied lunches so hoping to get some inspiration here. Today I have eaten

Breakfast - chocolate croissant
Mid morning - Pret fruit salad
Lunch - Eat Mozzarella and Tomato toastie, yoghurt, banana and grape nut pot

2 slices whole meal toast with butter and marmite
Packet of crisps
Grapes
Ham and chicken pie with sweet corn
Two slices of cheese and tomato on toast
Handful of pecan nuts

I'm only 6 weeks, but definitely into carbs and off sweet stuff at the moment. Making myself eat some fruit and veg everyday!

Primaryteach87 · 03/02/2015 20:57

Just to make you lurkers feel better....(if you're like me and reading with amazement these ladies ^ self control!). Today I've eaten ( in no particular order)
4 pain au chocolat
A plum
An apple
2 slices of brown toast with peanut butter
A chocolate (not self control, just all that was left)
A slice of brown bread, a carrot and a wedge of cheese.
3 fruit pastels
Steak, chips, green beans, mushrooms, Stilton and copious amounts of cream sauce.
3 scoops of chocolate ice cream....and I'm STILL hungry!
Feel like the hungry caterpillar!

Primaryteach87 · 03/02/2015 20:59

PS I'm 37 weeks and normally a size 8-10.

I am terrified about putting on a stack of weight. I swing from eating crisps and chips to keeping it healthy. Really need to be more consistent.

Today I have had a veggie juice with celery, carrot, spinach, beetroot, apple and a slice of buttered toast with cream cheese, smoked salmon (I eat this very rarely) and capers. It was bloody lovely Grin

sebsmummy1 · 04/02/2015 10:08

Oh god I am also mainlining fruit. Pear and satsumas particularly. I think it's because I am so thirsty.

comeagainforbigfudge · 04/02/2015 10:13

I've just had two slices of mothers pride toasted with ham for my breakfast.
Followed by salt and vinegar spirals.

Still hungry. But had hardly anything yesterday as felt sick. Going to have a glass of water, do a wee mini cleaning sesh then have a yum yum. With a massive glass of milk. Which seems to be my thing at the moment!

22 weeks and am trying to eat in moderation but really failing epically!!

Ah well, growing baby needs fuel!

(Haven't caved to too many ready made/take away meals though. So that has to count for something!)

GoooRooo · 04/02/2015 10:19

Oh Primaryteach87 I really really want a pain au chocolat now.

Today's menu is:

Breakfast: Fat free fromage frais, banana and honey
Lunch: Left over bombay potatoes with 2 boiled eggs (I know it's weird)
Dinner: Chicken fajitas

I've a couple of cereal bars somewhere which I will no doubt eat today and I am taking DS to the bakers later to get a cake..... so probably will get one for me too because I have no self control.

shelley1977 · 04/02/2015 11:30

Im 32 weeks but really struggled with lack of appetite this pregnancy.
Average day will start with a coffee, maybe a fruit bar after school run. Late afternoon a slice wholemeal toast with maybe an egg or beans or soup or cheese and spinach sandwich. Plenty of water/ diluting juice. Evening meal quite often nothing or something light a sandwich or some veg and fish. Maybe a few mini crisp breads from aldis I love or fruit.
Its even harder eating the bigger baby gets as his kicking gives me a really sore stomach.

birchwoods · 04/02/2015 11:31

I love these threads. I will do yesterday as it's not lunch time yet and who knows what I'll manage to consume today..th day is young.

Breakfast: BIG bowl of fruit and fibre with almond milk

Lunch: Avocado, cheese and egg salad

Dinner: Spag bol and garlic bread

Snacks...here goes: half a large brioche roll, banana, apple, kitkat, packet of wotsits, Freddo, Muller corner, Greek yoghurt with agave, about 20 mini Reese's peanut buttercups, mini Graze sticky toffee pudding, Graze popcorn.

I'm 13+4 and have been eating like a Trojan since I found out pretty much at 4 weeks. I used to be slim...I'm just so hungry all the time though!

Primaryteach87 · 04/02/2015 12:24

Today is looking worse...
Already consumed 2 pain au chocolat, a pear and a plum....

Help! Hoping my (massive, 97th centile according to scans) baby comes a tad early/on time as will be the size of a whale if I go overdue!

piglet81 · 04/02/2015 13:36

I want a pain au chocolat now Grin

GoooRooo · 04/02/2015 13:46

If the news suddenly reports a pain au chocolat shortage I'm blaming this thread Grin

pinkie1982 · 04/02/2015 13:58

Ohh this is just like the WW menus I havent written in for four months! Haha.

I am 17+3.
Today I have had:

multigrain shapes cereal (no milk)
banana
Mr Kipling angel slice
monstermunch
falafel salad with houmous

Oh. that seems less than I thought!

MissTwister · 04/02/2015 14:58

I did so well at lunch having an avocado salad. Unfortunately I was then ravenous and have since eaten a jaffa cake& go ahead biscuits

2 x chocolate digestives
fruit and fibre
Banana
Satsuma
Ready Salted crisps
Avocado salad
Jaffa cake
Go ahead raisin and sultana biscuits

I think my issue is that if I eat too much at one go I feel really sick still so I end up nibbling. My desk mate who I have just sat next to and doesn't know I am pregnant must think I am such a PIG!!

MissTwister · 04/02/2015 14:59

Also this thread is bad now as it makes me want ALL THE FOOD!

OP posts:
LancashireTea · 04/02/2015 15:15

36+4 here and today I have gorged on:
A small bowl of cornflakes (have GD so have to be careful with breakfast) without mill and a coffee.
Two pints of water.
A chicken, spring onion and mayo sandwich on granary bread and bag of pom bears.
A small pot of pineapple as my sugars were good.
8 seafood sticks
and have had a lovely mug of lemon and ginger tea

I am so bloody hungry all of the time! Could eat for England atm. And craving things that I can't have because of the bastarding GD. Sad

weeblueberry · 04/02/2015 15:30

Oh cripes...

I've had two pieces of toast with honey, a scone and a massive tub of soup. Oh and 2 mini Thornton caramel slice things (genuinely only about the size of a 2p) and a dark chocolate marzipan chocolate.

gaggiagirl · 04/02/2015 15:35

You're all eating lush things!
Today, similar to yesterday.
Breakfast: Again. No.
Lunch: Again, left over casserole with spinach. Multigrain crackers
Tea tonight: Chicken with pasta and roast tomatoes and spinach.
Snacks: Water. Might have a Twix tonight.

Instamum · 04/02/2015 15:37

Wow most of you are inspirational!! I had half a tub yoghurt, flax seed, honey, Apple, omega sprinkle for breakfast

Lunch: tub of strawberries, 1.5 triple chocolate cookies!!!, and lots of cooked prawns!! Oh and huge bowl of antipasti

Not a good day either!!

weeblueberry · 04/02/2015 16:02

^ Apart from the cookies isn't that a pretty decent day? What's unhealthy about the rest?

GoooRooo · 04/02/2015 16:10

I didn't get a cake. The cash machine was broken so DS didn't get a cake eitehr. He got left over Christmas santa chocolates instead.

I feel deprived and now MUST HAVE CAKE.

Wonder if at 6+3 it's too early to be sending DH out to buy me food under the guise that it's a craving? AIBU? Wink
