When does the pregnancy actually feel real?

As the subject says, despite POAS about 10 times over the last 5 days and all coming back positive and the symtpoms (throwing up all over myself whilst driving to work and having to drive through mcdonalds drive through to get some napkins which is completely normal right?!) and a water infection at the moment It doesn't feel real!!
Please tell me I am not the only one feeling like this, I needed a place to vent and felt I could so in comfort on here :)

My first pregnancy felt real when it was over and I was holding a baby. Don't think I really believed it up until that point!

I'm the same as knittin I am 22 weeks and it still hasn't really sunk it. I don't think it will until she is here! Congratulations :)

I know what you mean. I'm 8 weeks and tbh I feel so sick that that is the main feeling at the moment. I'm hoping that once the morning sickness starts to subside, fingers crossed in the next few weeks, that I will start to feel happy and pregnant, but at the moment it feels more like having the flu and food poisoning rather than expecting a baby. I admit it's a little sad because I want to be excited but with all the sickness plus worrying about things that could go wrong at this stage it's almost necessary not to feel too pregnant, if you see what I mean. My first scan is not for a whole month and I gather at that point it should start to feel more real, but the first trimester can just be about getting through it. So don't worry, I know exactly how you feel. This trimester is feeling like an eternity for me as well but eventually I'm sure it will start to feel more real! :-)

i am 35 weeks now and it didnt feel real until about 4 weeks ago when i started to show! i didnt get any symptons at all, and was getting worried whne 12 week scan approached that nothing was going to be there! then i thought it will feel real once i have 12 week scan, but nope! and then 20 week scan, nope! i didnt get a bump for ages and it just felt like i was pretending to have a baby ha! i started to feel kicks around 23/24 weeks and as they get stronger, it became more real.

dont worry i think its perfectly normal for it not to feel real yet. its such an overwhelming experience, and its like you wont let you believe its real!

With my first even after the scan it didn't feel real, until I felt her move then I realise I really had a baby in there!! Lol x

I'm 37 weeks and it still doesn't feel real tbh. Even though my tummy is moving around all over the place as I write this, it still doesn't feel real!

With my first it was when I was in labour and I suddenly thought holy shit there really is a baby coming out of there!

I'm nearly 27 weeks and it's still not feeling real. Despite all the scans, rock hard stomach, movement ALL DAY every day, still doesn't feel real. I expect sometime around the time it's a few months old I'll cop that it's mine.

Honestly? When I had to have an amnio. That was when I understood why my mum still worries about my sister and I.
Then when I got the all clear. Then washing teeny baby grows. Buying nappies. Packing hospital bag.
Packing it again at daft times in the night.
Watching her bumpiness squiggle when I was in the bath.
Feeling her squiggling when DH was talking to her bumpiness.
And then 'pow' I'm chatting away to her bumpiness when I was cooking or ironing or shopping.
I even gave her a tour of her room whilst she was still warm and cozy inside.
Well jel of you bump.

For me it has only just started becoming real now that I have a little bump (popped this week) and have started to feel movement - I am 20 weeks. I loved the 12 week and early scans, amazing, but somehow still surreal and difficult to translate that that was going on inside me! I have also today just agreed my holidays and maternity leave, after 15 years in the same job the prospect of a year off work also makes it pretty real. So basically, it all just got real for me at once this week. I am pregnant! whooppee!

So glad to see so many feel the same as me. Currently 35 weeks and just about sinking in. Dont think ill really believe it until I have baby in my arms. Still very excited tho

When you have the baby haha!! Seriously though, the 12 week scan is quite a marker when you see the little life in there, amazing. And when you start to feel the bumps and get to hear the heartbeat.

About the last month, when you need to get up a dozen times per night to pee, and getting up is like trying to move a mountain.

When I went for my 12 week scan and saw that it had hands and arms (seriously). I didn't expect it to have hands yet (I really don't know why). I got quite emotional over it

I'm 23 weeks now and the kicking makes it feel pretty real. Although I am still quite terrified...

I'm 28 weeks and it's only started to feel real now for me! I had really terrible morning sickness, I found out I was pregnant on holiday and before that genuinely thought I had food poisoning! I had a water infection the baby was really riggly at the scan and it still didn't feel reAl until now! I have no idea why either! Maybe it because I've got the pram who knows! But congratulations!

When lying in the bath, my belly stuck out the water and I had to put a flannel over it, to keep warm. That was always my 'woohoo' moment. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I remember crying in my first pregnancy in the early weeks saying 'but I don't feel pregnant, i just feel sick!'
I'm pregnant with number 3 so I know what's coming, and yet I still have jolts where I think 'omg I'm actually having a baby'

34 weeks and still doesnt feel real! I have constant kicks and squirms, what feels like little hands pulling my ribs, a fully decorated nursery, moses basket in the living room, bottles in the cupboard beside my glasses etc

Dont think it'll kick in until she's here!

When I got my 12 week scan and there was a little human in there! I conceived so quickly I dare not believe it until it saw it

I'm 36 weeks today and despite feeling constant movement and having a clothes full of teeny tiny clothes drying...still doesn't feel real yet! As excited as I am..I forget there's a baby to come after pregnancy!
