So upset... Found out I was approx 5 weeks pregnant last week, having been told by my gp I wasn't ovulating and would need a referral. I started bleeding yesterday (6weeks) with some crampy pain which I've had all week, my breasts aren't as swollen or tender and not feeling sick like I had been for the previous few days. Managed to get a scan for Tuesday morning but I feel so numb, upset, anxious and scared :(

Butterfly and GinFace I am delighted for you both! Enjoy the relief.

Sorry no gin for you but I am having WINE. I'm still a bit pooped but nothing major. Hung out with my DSis and her kids today - felt better for being out and seeing people and giving my wonderful DH a break! Also got some beautiful flowers delivered from my colleagues and some lovely messages from friends and family. Feel so fortunate to have this kind of caring, loving team around me.

However, I just had a message from a close friend who lives overseas - she and I had the same due date (this time) and we have the same name. And we had the same early scan date - mine was originally to be today. She's on her way to emergency because she has one healthy baby and one possible ectopic and might need surgery immediately. So my mind is screwing over that now. It will be a while before she can update me so I'm trying to find out if it is even possible for them to save her healthy one if she needs surgery on a tube. We knew it was possible she could have frat twins - she's had some fertility treatment and there were two eggs when they TTC as a result of the fertility drugs. So, arrrgh, I really hope they can make it with at least one intact.

Hugs to you, carrotpuff, our time will come. And anyone still waiting? Please update - hugs for you too.

Congratulations ginface I knew you'd be ok ;)
I've been back in hospital with hyperemesis today. Feeling crap!

giantmama so sorry to hear about your friend. It's called a heterotropic pregnancy, it's pretty rare, but they can sometimes remove the tube and other baby stays happy in the womb hopefully xxxx

Hi, just checking in to say she's been discharged - they're not worried about the 'something' near her ovary and the baby in utero is fine. Thanks for the info butterfly - I was able to get some stats on heterotopic pg and at least let her know there was hope while she waited. Actually she and her DH were very calm as their OB had been so positive. Good to know that not all 'cautious' scenarios presented turn out to be true!

Anyway butterfly it sucks you have hyperemesis after all this!

That's great news mama. Fingers crossed for her.

Butterfly how are you feeling today?
