Grin wow, Cleo's sleep has sorted itself right out! Well done. Are you bf or ff? Still bf here but wondering if that is not helping with the night wakings.

Yes, four month regression omg..... Last night we did 8-11.30, wake for dream feed, 11.30-3, wake screeching for milk, 4.35, wake for milk, 6.15 wake for milk, up at 8.

That was a really good night! Bad ones go like 10.10, 10.35, 11.30, 1.45, 3.45, 6 and up for day at 7.30. Agggggh!

Today a bit of a dull day as we had a hosp appt (me not her) and she was bored. Although she totally stared the consultant down Grin

HB how are you?

Pearl go for it! I started wanting an epidural about 25min in but then started pushing. And anyway the MW hadn't arrived then so the strongest thing I had available was Toilet Duck. Grin I'm all for going someplace where pain relief options are limited as you don't miss what you don't have!

RevoltingPeasant · 22/06/2015 21:28

Oh also, Dodo 5 mos old tomorrow!

The Berry-Copter!!! (Early 2015 edition)
FeatherFeather11 · 22/06/2015 21:39

Dodo is just DIVINE! Look at her! I'm still combo feeding, RP. She has boob and formula before bed and then tops up with that middle of the night feed. I've been crazy-strict about bed time ritual since about week three and I think that's why she sleeps well. Maybe. Who knows! The thing that is a TOTAL mess is her day time naps. She has four, sometimes five, and they never last for more than 30mins. Really drives me round the bend so I'm going to make it my next thing to work on. Confused three nice naps - a long one in the middle and two shorter ones on either side. The other thing I've been terrible at is just setting her down in her bed and walking away and letting her settle herself to sleep. My whole nct group seem to be at the point where they can just place their babe in the cot, say goodnight and then trot off. HA! C goes mental if I even dare put her down!

Anyway, sorry to waffle on everyone. Hope you're all tip top. I've been really missing being pregnant recently. Make sure you enjoy every second of it - even the shitty bits! And SLEEP as much as you can!!

FeatherFeather11 · 23/06/2015 11:21

Also, didn't mean to sound so bloody smug about her night sleeping. I'm sure it'll all change! xx

OP posts:
RevoltingPeasant · 23/06/2015 17:13

Ah, not smug at all - well done you! Dodo was such a good sleeper on her own that our nighttime routine was only quite loose. Experimenting with it now!

What helps us settle D is, feed to sleep or almost sleep, then transfer to cot ideally slightly awake. Dummy and shushing till quiet (if she's cried out) then I lie on bed next to her, often just reading iPad, till she's settled into a deeper sleep. Very sweet watching her sleep, though it takes a while! May have to get speedier when I go back to work - in 6 weeks Shock Shock

RevoltingPeasant · 23/06/2015 17:14

Also try No Cry Nap Solution, totally worked for us. Going to try the NC Sleep Solution next week, if things haven't improved!!

Gillster · 27/06/2015 22:31

Got a call today to say that everything was clear from our Serenity test (Downs, Edwards etc) so feeling very pleased. Smile

Gillster · 27/06/2015 22:35

I could have also found out the sex but I managed to resist!

greatbigbushybeard · 27/06/2015 23:26

Cor gilster you are a stronger lady than I am re the finding out of the sex.
I'm good, finished work yesterday- woo hoo!! Weird feeling driving away- strangely liberating! My colleagues were fantastic, they surprised me by decorating my classroom with bunting, banners & balloons & gave me a lovely card & presents. I was thoroughly spoilt!! Have already put the mother care voucher towards a nursing chair. Looking forward to tomorrow & no planning- woo hoo!!

Loving the cool baby pics!!

nolly3 · 28/06/2015 11:43

just wanted to say congrats to gil on good test results and also bushy on finally getting to maternity leave!
Hallo everyone else - baby pics v sweet!

Jelliebabe1 · 28/06/2015 21:11

Gillster! That's brilliant! Bet you feel much better now! You're made of stern stuff not to find out! Are you him ng to or are you having a surprise?

Bushy. Hurray for mat leave! Sounds like you had a lovely last day! Grin

Feather! Love the Glastonbury sunnies!

Rp - how's the sleep coming on? Any better yet or two early to tell?

Jelliebabe1 · 28/06/2015 21:57

Looks like I'm hitting "emotional" population of one! I nipped my husbands finger with nail clippers the other day and was inconsolable! Yesterday I cried at something daft, and today I've cried twice, and nearly again in the supermarket as dh didn't let me buy my first pack of nappies (Yes it's early but I'm thinking if I get some every week it'll help right!?!?!) Did manage to give myself a stern talking to but I was brimming. I'm not normally like this at all!

Am I going loopy or is this a thing? Please tell me it doesn't last too long or I'm tired or summat! Grin

greatbigbushybeard · 28/06/2015 23:56

jellie chill, you're pg & with twins, you'll be getting double the amount of hormones so don't worry. I found myself welling up at news stories or a song with emotional lyrics. I also fond getting ragey then crying loads cue a few humdinger rows with dh.

Thoroughly enjoying my Sunday of no planning!! Whoop whoop!!
Can I ask what senior berries packed in their hospital bag re clothes for themselves? Did you labour in a cheap nightie or just a vest top? Going to try to pack hospital bag tomorrow.

Gillster · 29/06/2015 06:10

Aw, thanks for dropping by Nolly. Hope you'll be here on a more permanent basis very soon.

Don't be too hard on yourself Jelli.

Yay to maternity leave Bushy. Have you got the freezer stocked up yet?

You back from hols yet HB? How are you getting on?

Snowlily · 29/06/2015 13:21

Hello berries, I've been lurking in the background for a few weeks but have plucked up the courage to take a seat on the chopper if that's ok? Some of you may remember that I joined briefly last October but left after our 12 week scan revealed we'd had a missed miscarriage. Well that was IVF attempt one and IVF attempt two resulted in (only) one egg, but it became a good quality embryo and our 12 week scan showed us to have a healthy baby growing :) I'll be 16 weeks this Wednesday. Still a bit anxious but feeling happier after the successful scan :)

Gillster · 29/06/2015 17:09

Hi Snow, we haven't met as I only joined the thread a few weeks ago. I'm sorry you had such a difficult time last year but it's amazing that you're 16 weeks pregnant from one IVF egg Grin. Can't imagine how stressful it must have been for you before your 12 week scan.

I am 13+3 today so not too far behind you. Will be nice to have someone else to natter to who's quite close in gestational terms as think the thread will get pretty empty when we have our July/Aug cluster birth!

When's your EDD and where in the country are you based?

Snowlily · 29/06/2015 21:58

Hi Gill thanks for the welcome, and yes we were pretty scared before the scan, we'd had the 7/8 week heart beat early scan which is was good news again but it was such a big relief when we saw our baby on the 12 week scan. We feel so very lucky that our one egg made it this far & hopeful we'll get our special little bundle as an early Xmas present. My EDD is 13th/16th December so pretty close to you. & I think it's lovely how the berry Mums keep in touch and offer tips and advice and updates on their little ones. Oh and I'm based in the Midlands, anyone else in the area? :)

ladybunnikins · 29/06/2015 22:50

I remember you from before Snowlily, it's great to have you back. I'm also in the midlands, near Leicester.
Great news on the scan Gill and I can't believe you're already on maternity leave Bushy! Enjoy it, and definitely make the most of being able to leave the house and run errands quickly without taking a baby everywhere!

Jelliebabe1 · 30/06/2015 20:30

Good news on the other thread! Incoming berry alert! Grin

pearlcrystal · 30/06/2015 20:34

Hi everyone- just a quick check in from me.
The baby photos are gorgeous - rp and feather lovely to see them growing and doing so well.

bushy what a great send off you had and great to be on mat leave! I've just packed my hospital bag this weekend and used the nhs list as a basis (happy to share it if you've not got a copy) along with tips from berries on FB which included big pants with high waist, flip flops, lots of snacks and squash, pen and paper, Lansinoh, breast warming/cooling pads. Have you made a decision regarding where you will be to give birth, pain relief etc?

jellie the emotional rollercoaster is definitely a part of the experience but you'll be happy to know that there is a good chance it will pass. I cried because a seller was rude to my DH on ebay, but was reasonably normal the week after...

gill how are you feeling, starting to get into the second trimester bliss? I didn't quite get rid of nausea until about week 18/19 but felt really lovely after that for the rest of the second trimester

lady how are you and little lady getting on? Are you enjoying being on mat leave or missing work?

I've got 3 weeks to go at work and generally feeling well. The baby is active almost continuously which is the loveliest thing and so reassuring. In full getting ready mode now and attending loads of courses (including hypnobirthing which has been brilliant) and reading books. I am getting really excited that it's only 7 weeks to go till my EDD... Can't wait to meet the little man!

pearlcrystal · 30/06/2015 21:17

also meant to add snow welcome and congratulations! It's lovely to hear your news especially after the MC. Not long to go now for you till the 20 week scan which will make you feel even more confident and closer to the end result :-)

jellie good to hear more good Berry news, about time too, we've not had nearly enough new additions to the chopper.

ladybunnikins · 30/06/2015 22:22

Congratulations Wild!
Pearl we are doing OK thanks, still some sleep issues and now she has started refusing a bottle but I don't miss work at all, especially when I get to spend days like today in a park with nct friends! How are your fibroids, are they in the way of the exit route or can you still aim for a normal delivery?

ladybunnikins · 30/06/2015 22:31

Enjoying baby sensory last week.

The Berry-Copter!!! (Early 2015 edition)
RevoltingPeasant · 01/07/2015 16:31

Lady - AWWWWW! Amazing photo, too.

Bushy try googling Doctor and Daughter. It's a blog by an obs/gynae consultant and his pg daughter and somewhere it includes a really good hosp list which I used as the basis for mine.

From memory, for me-
Lip balm
Water bottle
Dressing gown
Flips
Several black pj trews and loose pj tops
Nursing bras
Spare change
Phone charger
CD player and hypno birthing cd
Disposable Knicks
Breast pads
Birth plan plus list of "remember to dos" for DH

Baby
Vests and babygro in newborn and 0-3 sizes
Hats in both sizes
Nappies, water wipes
White metanium
Dummy
Baby blanket
Small pack of ready made aptamil in case bf didn't work and I had trouble getting formula from MW
I know this sounds anal but I packed all the baby stuff in separate clear plastic freezer bags and labelled them, that way if dh anyone who didn't know what they were doing needed to find sth quickly, they could.

Also remember car seat plus base!

Eeeeeek so excited for you! You will have a baby THIS MONTH!! Grin

Jelliebabe1 · 01/07/2015 19:18

Lol I thought you'd put ,"baby" on your list like you might forget it! Grin
