Where on earth do you buy Maternity work trousers?!!

I went shopping today (Cribbs Causeway Bristol) and the only places that had maternity stuff was H&M which was a load of rubbish and Topshop where I picked up a pair of Leigh Mat Jeans. I could not find work trousers anywhere! Even trusty old Next let me down!
Does anyone have any recommendations for good fitting ones? I'm a bit fussy with trousers so I'd rather try them on before buying rather than ordering from Asos or somewhere.

Thanks!

I think you best bet might be online. Haven't found any trousers that fit me in any of the stores and am using belly bands in my regular trousers still.
I think Next Online has a lot bigger selection than in stories, also New Look or Mamas & Papas might do the trick.

Mine were from h and m a couple of weeks ago. They are skinny over bump ones. Previously I've had luck with new look x

makeitabetterplace · 22/11/2014 19:55

Asos. You can send anything you don't want back for free.

Mrsgrumble · 22/11/2014 19:55

What size are you op? I got mine from new look. They are fine and quality is ok but I have heard isabelle oliver is your bet be but they are more pricey. Might be worth investing in.

New look come up bigger

Pretty much nowhere stocks maternity in store now. Topshop, H&M and Debenhams are the exceptions here.

I'm lucky as I'm getting away with black skinny jeans as work wear but I've seen proper trousers in Next (online) and the more upmarket places like Isabella Oliver and Seraphina.

AnythingNotEverything · 22/11/2014 20:00

I'll be wearing black maternity tube skirts and boots or dresses this winter. I hate shopping for tailored trousers at the best of times but it's infinitely harder when the choice is so limited.

There's very little maternity wear on the high street unfortunately. Best to order online.

Jojo Maman Bebe. Very good quality, lasts well and fits nicely! So a huge range online though most stores stock a range of clothing so you can get a feel for sizes.

Gruntbaby · 22/11/2014 20:04

JoJoMamanBebe has a great selection. There is a shop in Clifton and another in Bath and they have a v good internet site with free delivery. Most of my work clothes were from there. They are fairly expensive but wash well. I also bought from Isabelle Oliver and Seraphine. Debenhams in Bath stocks Red Herring maternity IIRC.

gruber · 22/11/2014 20:05

56 The Mall, Bristol - anywhere near you?

NovemberRainbow · 22/11/2014 20:05

Also recommending JoJo Maman, best trousers.

Seasidedolly · 22/11/2014 20:52

Thanks all, I keep meaning to pop to JJMB in Clinton so will definitely try there. H&M had one pair of crepe type material buy they were awful! I'm about a 14 at the mo but always struggle to find trousers and jeans even at my slimmest so I may just live in thick tights and dresses to save the despair!

I got some online from Debenhams - Red Herring, quite cheap and seem good quality so far.

silversixpence · 22/11/2014 21:32

Another vote for Red Herring - very good quality black work trousers from there.

Wilf83 · 22/11/2014 21:51

I got my black trousers from New Look. Soooo comfy!

Jaffakake · 22/11/2014 22:10

New look & next are best for work trousers. Asos might be best if you're quite fashionable. Online is best cos they simply don't stock the ranges in store anymore. Next are good cos you can click & collect for free - order loads, try on & send back from the store easy peasy.

bellaboo88 · 22/11/2014 22:34

Another vote for new look...overbump with elastic/button inside. I'm a 10 normally but bought the 12 & they'll see me till maternity leave. Fab price too

TinyMonkey · 22/11/2014 22:35

Gap? Online only though.

GhoulySpook · 22/11/2014 22:52

Mothercare have some very nice (and reasonable) black trousers caleed jeggings, which are quite smart.

D0nnaO · 23/11/2014 10:08

another vote for redherring at Debenhams. Got quite a few bits from there & they wash really nicely too Smile x

Jenninlw · 23/11/2014 13:08

My best ones are from Mamas and papas - got them in the sale. Had to get a size smaller but the quality is fantastic! Really smart tapered black trousers

GreenPetal94 · 23/11/2014 13:09

Jo jo maman bebe

Also I'd suggest against buying maternity skirt for work, as I did, because I found that tights, even maternity tights, became very uncomfortable.

^^ have got a couple of pairs. I bought some from Jojo.
Best buy ever is the wrap tops from Jojo.

Bubbly77 · 23/11/2014 13:33

I found FunMum.com good. As I am vertically challenged their trousers are ideal for me as come in different lengths. Very comfortable too, as are their jeans.

DanyStormborn · 23/11/2014 14:54

Mothercare

ChatEnOeuf · 23/11/2014 17:11

Red Herring at Debenhams. Very little on the high street which really annoys me. I may have shouted in pregnancy-rage at the poor woman in Next when my third online order was shoddy fit/quality/etc.
