I'm 40+1 (FTM). Had a sweep yesterday at around 10am. Immediately started getting period pain and low back pain. I stayed on my feet pretty much all day. The pain lasted until the evening when I laid down to watch telly and then fell asleep. I had absolutely no pain all night, and woke up a few times thinking it probably didn't work.

But now I'm say here in bed (6am) and the period pain has suddenly come back! Not feeling any contractions but the pain is coming in waves. Also, just went to the loo because it felt like I really needed a poo (sorry) and lots of brownish/mucousy discharge.... I'm guessing that's a show???

What do you think??

After 2 false starts last week, I don't want to get my hopes up but this feels promising!!

(DP already at work hence my speculation working it's way online...Wink)

midwife confirmed baby is in a good position and very low. sweep Next Friday if still no baby. getting lots of period like back pain today! please let that be the start of something!

That's great Elle! One step closer. And I think any kind of period pain is good.

I'm trying not to obsess too much on symptoms at the moment, everything has gone pretty quiet TBH. Going for a curry tonight though!!

So now 39 weeks and feeling a bit low tbh. Baby still wriggly in there but partner completely not interested. We aren't really talking and feel like I'm doing this alone most of the time. Getting fed up of people asking if anything is happening, safe to say it's not. just all a bit crap Sad

ElleOhElle · 02/11/2014 11:16

that's no good mummabex hopefully you sort things out with your partner soon. maybe go for a nice walk on your own to clear the air Thanks

My DP said he feels like we're in limbo land. Just waiting. And the longer we wait the more the anticipation builds! Hang in there, try and distract yourself as much as you can. I'm 41 weeks today and have had to mentally readjust my due date to 42 weeks just to keep sane.

Hubby and I feel the same Bellyrub its a bit pants really - running out of things to do as hubby is reluctant to venture too far or for too long in case something happens!
I've also given up and I'm thinking of my due date as end of next week. I'm 41 tomorrow and back at hospital later in week to plan next step, although at the moment it's looking like induction as there is absolutely NO sign of anything starting Sad

I will keep fingers crossed for everyone still waiting for their little one to make an appearance!

Bellyrub- any news??? How are you doing???

Bellyrub1980 · 11/11/2014 22:16

Baby born AT LAST with the help of induction on the 10th! She is perfect!

Still totally overwhelmed by how amazing the midwives were, and my DP who has taken to being a dad brilliantly.

Any news from anyone else?

(PS... You can now find me on all the baby forums obsessing about other worries!!!)
