My smallest age gap is between ds 1 and 2 17 months. I actually liked it. The first 6 months were quite hard with a newborn and toddler but they have grown up so close to one another. They always wanted to watch the same things on tv and were into the same toys.

lloydlf33 · 21/10/2014 11:05

The gap between Dd1 and dd2 is 1 minute lol

StripyBanana · 21/10/2014 11:08

Mines just under 3 years - wouldn't have it any smaller!!

Artandco · 21/10/2014 11:11

15 months. Love it

Bythepath · 21/10/2014 11:12

15 months, hard at first but love it now, probably helps that they are the same sex. Just had a 3rd and this time the gap is 2 1/2 years.

Bowlersarm · 21/10/2014 11:13

21 months. It's a great age gap.

Thesimplethings · 21/10/2014 11:13

16 months between mine. I found the newborn/young toddler stage fine, would have liked more sleep but other than that it was a breeze.

They are 4 and 3 now and incredibly hard work. The oldest is in his first term in reception and is cheeky, back answers all the time. The three year old copies. Neither of them listen, both wind each other up. But.. On the rare occasions they are good it's a joy to watch them play together and their conversations are so funny.

13 months and I love it. Ds2 (5.5 months) loves watching his big brother Grin

hashtagwhatever · 21/10/2014 11:38

12 months 7 days.

Others are 16 months, and 22 months.

Bowlersarm · 21/10/2014 11:44

Well I prefer the 21month gap to the slightly larger one with ours, so I'd aim at 20 months again, if I were in your shoes.

Bowlersarm · 21/10/2014 11:46

Is it no 4? Not sure i would want a tiny gap with that many.

WipsGlitter · 21/10/2014 11:48

There is just less than a year between me and my sister. I was born three days before her first birthday. What were my parents thinking????

Branleuse · 21/10/2014 11:52

Theres 11.5 months between ds2 and dd.

It was hard at first but theyre best of friends and have never shown any jealousy.

It was very hard on my body having 2 pregnancies in a year though, and I was very depleted and depressed afterwards

weebleswillwobble · 21/10/2014 11:59

Almost 15 months between first two, 3 and a half years between babies 2 & 3.

IamFitzChivalry · 21/10/2014 12:00

15 minutes!Grin

Stinkystinkypoopoohead · 21/10/2014 12:02

My aunt has a gap of 364 days between her add and Ds1 Shock she found it very hard going, but then had a two year gap before DS3 and a further 4 year gap before DS4 so it clearly didn't put her off Smile
