I recommend non maternity in a nice jersey fabric. I went to a wedding at 37 weeks and just wore a nice dress from Monsoon in my normal pre pregnancy size.

CunfuddledAlways · 12/10/2014 18:44

I seriously feel like i have looked alover the place, a lot of the wedding is outdoors too so i dont want to be cold =/, think i would rather baby came before asit gives me an excuse not to go!!

I wore a black lace overlay asos maternity dress with half length sleeves at 40 weeks. It was £30, I got lots of compliments and didn't feel like a complete blimp! Brighten up with hair accessory/shoes etc.

Solasum · 12/10/2014 19:03

Whatever you buy, leave the labels on til the last minute. You could well already have a baby by then!

CunfuddledAlways · 12/10/2014 19:31

Love asos stuff, i am going to try have another look, yeah i plan to leave the label on!! Still feel clueless! I like [http://m.houseoffraser.co.uk/Closet+Jersey+v+neck+gathered+dress/207011907,default,pd.html] too sorry not sure how to link properly

The house of fraser one is nice but looks short already without a bump pulling it up?

CunfuddledAlways · 12/10/2014 19:36

Oh yeah, i forget that bump pulls things up!! I like some of your ideas too!! I just feels so hopeless and clueless and everything i try on makes me feel huge/not weddingy enough

Anything on JOJo maman bebe website? Look in their sale section too. Some of the dresses are good for feeding in / wearing afterwards.

woodwaj · 12/10/2014 19:42

I wouldn't want to spend any money on a wedding outfit either so i can imagine how hard it is. If you can get away with bodycon go for that i think they look a lot smarter and less frumpy. Im short too. Im just buggered all round!!

CunfuddledAlways · 12/10/2014 19:43

Ooh i will look! It just seems so difficult!!

OP posts:
CunfuddledAlways · 12/10/2014 19:47

Thats just the thing!! I am only likely to wear it once, i want to look nice/like ive tried but not spend too much, i feel like i am being over picky and should just have anything but i hate feeling hige, i just want to be comfyish and look halfway decent!!

CunfuddledAlways · 12/10/2014 19:49

Do you think black is okay for wedding, i feel like i should have a colour, or would it be ok with accesories?? =/ see how clueless i am!! The only other wedding i have been too was my own!!

slithytove · 12/10/2014 19:53

Try ebay, I got a lovely jojomamanbebe dress there for half retail price and it was perfect

TwiggyHeart · 12/10/2014 19:55

I think black is fine as long as you have some coloured accessories, to be honest I think most people were just grateful that I looked presentable and didn't drop during the reception!

CunfuddledAlways · 12/10/2014 19:55

Been trying ebay on and off too, not sure if i typing wrong thing i usually only get like 15 results

CunfuddledAlways · 12/10/2014 19:57

Yes thats true, and this is baby number 3 and everyone is telling me to either have it now or more than a week after the wedding!

OP posts:
woodwaj · 12/10/2014 20:00

Black is fine! You can spend more money on accessories that you will use again!!

CunfuddledAlways · 12/10/2014 20:07

I am going to spend my lunch breaks trying on anything that even vagley looks hopeful i think!!

I would personally got for a JoJo dress. They are all about £39 but if you go for a nursing dress, you'll get loads of use out of it afterwards too. And they are soooo comfy. I've had so much wear out of mine!
