Miscarriage 5weeks ago, just had a positive pregnancy test!!

Hello,
I'm new to this but wondered if anybody was in or has been in the same boat. I had a miscarriage on 22th August at 5 and half weeks (first pregnancy). Me and my husband weren't advised not to try straight away after but weren't trying religiously or anything. After reading online I did a pregnancy test after 2 weeks to check all was gone, that was negative.
Today after feeling pretty rubbish all week I decided to do another test, clear blue digital came up pregnant 1-2weeks, am excited but completely terrified same is going to happen again. Going to ring docs tomorrow and see what they say. Would really appreciate some advice/stories. Thanks xxxx

I’m wondering if anyone has had similar experiences to mine. But I’ve recently been through a tough miscarriage, I was 2 months when we had the scan and the baby hadn’t progressed since it was 6.3 weeks, we were heartbroken. The miscarriage lasted a long time, 3-4 weeks and the bleeding stopped 3 nearly 4 weeks ago. We did 2 pregnancy tests just over a week ago and they were both negative. But 3 weeks after everything I started to get sore boobs again so I decided to do a pregnancy strip and me and my partner could see a very faint line. We think it maybe a new pregnancy but we are not sure. I have also been having bruising like pains in my lower stomach but I’m not sure what it is or what it means. I’d really appreciate some help. Thank you.

As the tests you took last eeek were negative I’d say that rule out this being connected to your previous pregnancy.
I would say test again tomorrow, see if the line looks stronger- or if you can bear it leave it 2 days.
You are super fertile after mc so every chance you could be, I speak from experience as currently 13 wks falling straight after mc even though we didn’t dtd near ovulation etc, and my periods were all over the place after!

Thank you for the advice Ambs81. I went to my GP today and they gave me a dose of antibiotics and did another pregnancy but it came back negative. Can’t explain the other 4 that came back possitive but they said it maybe a bit early so I’m doing another test in a week. I’m sorry for your loss. Xx

I miscarried at 5/6 weeks...then got pregnant the next month.

Hes now 5 weeks old in my arms asleep. :)

I had a horrific pregnancy and labour. But its worth every worry... :)

Hi, can someone help me, I can see another line on all 3 (extremely faint) but I did another 2 from a different brand and they came back with negative, I don’t know what to think. Has anyone got any advice please? Thank you. Xx

Hi, just wondering if anyone has had any recent success with ttc following a miscarriage. I’m 40 and my partner is 34. We’d been trying for nearly 18 months when I finally conceived in January. At 10+4 weeks I noticed I’d had a very small bleed and was booked in for a scan to check all was well. I was told my baby had only grown to 8+1 weeks and had no heartbeat. We were devestated. Two days later I started to miscarry and went onto bleed for a couple of weeks. I’ve been told by GP there’s no need to wait and we can try again when we’re both ready.

Sorry for your loss- We took a 2 month break after our mc as I was waiting for some (unrelated) gynae results, then got pregnant on our first attempt very luckily.
I am now 13wks, I had an 8week scan and 11weeks scan (2nd one private), my nhs scan is this week.
You will be more fertile in the 6 months following mc so your chances are better.
I would also recommend reflexology, I am really confident it brought on me ovulating quote soon after mc, I had one the following months and ovulating a few days after again.
I would keep taking your folic acid if you’re not already, and reduce you caffeine intake to 1-2 coffees/ teas.
Be positive, get trying again and do those little things that may help put luck in your favour! I’m sure people thought I was ott but it made me feel better.

I had a mmc at 10.5 weeks in July, got pregnant 6 months later which also sadly ended in mc. Currently 8+4 from pregnancy following mc with no period!!
I'm hoping all will be well but it can happen again and very quickly! xx

Thank you. I’m still taking folic acid and vitamin D from my pregnancy and will continue to do so. I’m just desperate to become pregnant again soon. I haven’t tested for ovulation but I miscarried over two weeks ago and we have been trying over the last week so fingers crossed xx

I had a miscarriage on Dec 31st of 2019 and did not have a period since the miscarriage but I felt nauseous during last week and my pregnancy test came positive, I am not sure if I should be happy or not because of the miscarriage I had earlier, I am very afraid if I would end up again with a miscarriage, Can somebody share any of your experiences similar please? I feel so down since the pregnancy test

I have a similar query. I had a missed miscarriage 17 Dec. Stopped growing at 7 weeks and didn't pass until 11 weeks. My levels around the time just before passing the miscarriage were roughly 14000, then a week after mc, they were 300, and a week after that they were 30. So the doc felt pretty confident the mc was resolving and that I'd be back to below 5 in the following week. Well it's been a week and a half since the last draw for hcg... and I've been feeling a bit off and my bbt and opk and cm lined up to say I'm 8dpo. Just got a positive pg test at 8dpo. But now I'm doubting it and thinking it could still be hcg from the mc. Is it possible that my hcg stopped declining correctly and I never returned to non pg levels??? this is so confusing. Don't want to get my knickers in a knot over nothing. I miscarried about 3.5 weeks ago but I figured that if the hcg was declining as they expected it to (roughly halving every couple of days) then I shouldn't be showing up pg on a test...
