I'm 9+4 weeks and have been feeling dreadful since week 5! I'm not actually being sick but I'm feeling so rough that I haven't been able to go to work for the past month and I'm totally knackered all the time as well.
Feeling very lonely and miserable being at home all day. Anyone experiencing or previously experienced similar symptoms got any advice/support or just want to keep me company and whinge??

Urgh, me too. Now 9+6. Last Saturday evening I started being sick. Then Sunday morning diarrhoea (nice...) started. Repeat until yesterday. :( Drs have given me some anti sickness pills which have helped - last night I ate some boiled potatoes and chicken which was about the best meal I've ever eaten. Yet to see it again (fingers crossed...).

Going for a (private) dating scan next Saturday. I can not wait - hopefully we'll be able to tell people afterwards as its getting really hard to hide. I was never this sick with DD.

BB01 · 21/09/2014 12:10

I feel like absolute crap. Am only about six weeks. I haven't been sick yet but feel sick and weak all day and horrendously ill on and off! Just can't see how I'll get through weeks or months of this while looking after 15-month-old DD! Glad I'm not alone but of course wish we could all feel better soon!

moomeg · 21/09/2014 12:52

I too am relieved to have found this thread. I am only 7 weeks but feel like cr*p all of the time! Its my second pregnancy but with an eight year gap so the last pregnancy is a distant memory! Doesn't help to feel anxious either so not sure whether its the anxiety that's making me nauseaus or the other way round! :(

leanne963 · 21/09/2014 13:07

Anyone else had trouble not being able to sleep at all!? I am about 5 weeks feel sicky, food isn't appealing to me even though I'm hungry and I'm finding I am not sleeping at night just lying there! Anyone else get this!?

BB01 · 21/09/2014 15:16

Leanne yep I'm waking up every hour at the mo! Grr!

Moomeg sorry you feel anxious. So do I, worrying about how I'll survive this pregnancy and in case anything goes wrong, but I definitely do think the worry makes you feel worse so I'm trying to take each day at a time

d0ttyne11 · 21/09/2014 21:35

Oh I'm so pleased to hear from you all!! Thank you so much for sharing.

Now I don't feel that it's just me now that's suffering alone with no one to share this with - aside from my poor DH who I feel is having to listen to me saying "I feel sick, I'm hungry, I need to eat something, I can't eat this..." constantly!! I hope this sounds familiar to some of you too. It's so up and down I can't believe it. Some things I think I can stomach and then the next minute, can't even bare the thought of it... Bizarre!!

Roseylea - I'm exhausted too and feel a bit pathetic dragging myself around. I know that things might get worse before they get better so surely I should be trying to harness all energy and do some exercise or something at the mo, but I just want to lie in bed and sleep!! Was out for a few hours today and had to nap for 2 hours once I got home. I really really admire anyone who can do this a second or third time with other little people to feed, wash, clothe and entertain whilst maintaining a brave face. Well done all of you!

Cherrylips - you sound a little further ahead and it's exciting that you're starting to show! I hope the dating scan goes well, that will be fab. Enjoy your special day.

Thanks again to all of you - you really have lifted my spirits this evening xxxx

Dotty I feel exactly the same, DH must be so sick of me already. I keep stockpiling 'the only thing I can eat' them promptly going off it. Have actually felt remarkably better since yesterday afternoon after I started drinking Lucozade!! I read it can really help some people. It's probably going to be short lived but I really wonder if it has helped. Unfortunately I don't think it's the healthiest thing ever, much like the rest of my food and drink choices at the moment

Roseylee20 · 23/09/2014 09:11

Hi BB01, my food choices aren't great at the moment too- well, for the past 5 weeks they haven't been the best. I've probably had 1 or 3 decent meals in that time. Other than that in living off a variety of foods as one day I can only manage them, and the next day I've gone off them! Including cheese dippers, crisps, chips, (is it bad that I'm really trying to think of something else I've eaten?). I want to eat what best for the baby but I really don't know where to start, especially whilst feeling like this!

BB01 · 23/09/2014 11:26

It is hard Rosey, but I have read a few times that you can make up for lack of good nutrition by eating better during the later trimesters. Think it's actually more important then. If I force myself to eat something I don't like the idea of I just feel sick for hours after!

splodge77 · 23/09/2014 14:29

Ugh glad to find a good old moanfest going on here, can I join?? Feel like crap! Only 8 weeks and last time it didn't pass til about 14 weeks so am steeling myself for a crappy October. I have found that sucking tictacs helps a bit - the orange and lime ones.

CherryLips1980 · 24/09/2014 10:58

Last night was horrid :( Didn't sleep well at all and I've felt sick all morning. I only work two days a week, why do I feel worse on a morning I have to go to work?! (I love my job, its not dread!)

I'm surprised more people haven't guessed tbh, it doesn't feel like that long ago I was pregnant with DD (tbf, it isn't, she was born Nov last year) and I know most of my symptoms are the same, I'm just a bit sicker if anything.

BB01 · 24/09/2014 11:58

Splodge I hope it passes sooner for you this time. From listening to other people it seems no two pregnancies are the same in terms of morning sickness etc.

lillamyy1 · 24/09/2014 13:55

Hi to everyone new to the thread! It's great to know I'm not in this alone although I wouldn't ever wish it on anyone!!
I completely agree with those of you who like something for a while and then go off it - that's been happening to me too. At the beginning I did massive ocado shop for things I could stomach and a couple of days later I couldn't even bear to look at any of it! DP had to eat/hide it all!!
The last four days I've felt really rotten and hardly got out of bed but today I've been quite a bit better thank god!
I hope everyone else is t feeling too rough today.

I'm so glad to have found this thread!

We found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, around 5-6 weeks now. I was feeling tired before anyway but since it was confirmed I've just been feeling so sick! My husband thinks its partly psychological, but I have felt so awful today. I work 5 days 9-5, and I have no idea how I'm going to struggle through the next few weeks of feeling sick and having no energy. Its hard when people dont know too, although I'm sure a lot of people have already guessed!
Has this feeling prevented anyone else from getting really excited about the pregnancy? We got married in June and knew that we would start trying straight away, but I worry that my husband thinks I'm not happy and excited about it. Trouble is when I feel this bad, its hard to get excited about anything! But I really am happy obviously, I just hope he understands...

leanne963 · 24/09/2014 15:47

Anyone feeling like they have an awful cold?! I'm sneezing 30+ times a day I feel awful I'm only 5 weeks.

When will this end? Lol I don't have sore boobs yet, that should kick in within the next few weeks!!

CherryLips1980 · 24/09/2014 16:40

Hot flushes have kicked in with me - I go from roasting hot to goosebumpy cold in minutes. I keep comparing this to DD's pregnancy last year and so far coming up with 'well, this is completely different :-/ '

I find it hard to get excited until I've had the first scan and am reassured that (at that point) everything is well. I've read/heard too many instances of people having 'secret' miscarriages and not realising.

Yep, 'cold' and nausea. Both symptoms I could do without.

Oh, and hot flushes apparently.

leanne963 · 24/09/2014 16:49

cherry How far along are you? It's hard not to get too excited isn't it?! I don't want to get my hopes up as I am only 5 weeks and MC at 11/12 weeks in June! I just want a scan NOW lol. I have a little sickness first thing in the morning and just feel so bloated! !

CherryLips1980 · 24/09/2014 17:27

How did I manage to post twice?! Sorry guys...

Am now 10+2. Going for a private scan on Saturday because I can't wait until 7th Oct (my 'proper' official scan).

leanne963 · 24/09/2014 17:58

Oooh exciting cherry I'm thinking of getting a private scan let me know how it goes :)

couldbeanyone · 24/09/2014 18:15

Oh a good thread to find, 9 weeks and feel absolutely dreadful. Had to come home from work as felt so bad and went to bed.

Not actually been sick, just terrible nausea, sometimes relieved by food but not always. As someone else said I fancy something then a few days later go completely off it.

And can't sleep through the night as need to get up 600 times to pee!

Ahhhhh got all that off my chest Wink

leanne963 · 24/09/2014 18:29

Haha couldbe the pee thing is a joy isn't it???? Grin

couldbeanyone · 24/09/2014 18:47

Leanne absolutely, and it's my second, so I knew what to expect...it's all coming back to me now Confused

Worksallhours · 24/09/2014 20:02

I am 12 weeks and feel like a plague-ridden zombie. I even look like one: to the extent I got sent home from work a fortnight ago because I looked so shocking.

The nausea is horrific, but I never actually vomit. I am so tired that I need to lie down after getting dressed in a morning. I am sleeping for about sixteen hours a day. I can't do anything without getting breathless. Two days ago, I started with headaches/migraines that feel like the right hand side of my face is slightly paralysed. I feel very dizzy and light-headed, and get cold spells where I shiver for no reason.

And I just cant help wondering how the human race has managed to survive for so long. How did pregnant paleolithic women survive? There is no way on earth I could run away from a sabre tooth tiger in my present state.

And why on earth did we ever dump the idea of confinement or "lying in"? I am no good to man nor mouse. I should be laid in bed wearing a lace mop cap and bed jacket, drinking a delicate elderberry infusion from a china teacup and reading romantic poetry for my nerves.

d0ttyne11 · 24/09/2014 21:15

Oh this thread is keeping me smiling... Which is good as I went off my dinner two mouthfuls in. Fortunately I could (somehow) stomach watching the Bake Off while my DH ploughed through his meal and then got stuck into mine.

I too feel just a bit sick, but again, found that trying to graze on bland stuff (rather than load up on fruit and veg) is tending to work better than anything else to delay this groggy feeling.

It's not helping that at the moment, our kitchen's been given over to a team of builders that don't seem to eager about plumbing in the appliances and finishing off the job! I can't bear to think of another week of microwave meals as the stand in kitchen is a fridge with a microwave on top and a coffee machine (for DH) balanced on top in our spare bedroom!!

I am also thinking it must be so obvious that I must be preggers (think it's 7 weeks on Friday) I've avoided drinking with colleagues, only drinking decaf coffee at work and on the herbal tea. Oh - which might just suit me now.

Stay strong lovely ladies - we can get through this I'm sure!!! Flowers Flowers Flowers
