When did morning sickness start/finish for you

Hi all, found out on Friday I'm pregnant, 5+3, and just wondered if/when you had morning sickness. I had a mmc in April and didn't have any pregnancy symptoms. I know it's still early this time round but so far the pregnancy has been the same - no symptoms - and naturally scared it's going to end the same way as before. Hoping for strong symptoms to put my mind at rest

About 6.5 weeks and ended about 26 weeks...

PassTheCremeEggs · 08/09/2014 18:03

And I had absolutely no symptoms until the morning sickness started at 6.5 weeks, with both babies. Hope it works out for you.

About 7 weeks, dropped a bit at 14 then last bout was at 17 weeks.

MrsGranny · 08/09/2014 18:11

Thank you all. So is it quite normal not to really have any symptoms at 5 weeks?

peppapigonaloop · 08/09/2014 18:18

My symptoms always start around 6 weeks and stay until around 14/15 weeks.. Usually nausea in the evening and super tiredness. Totally normal not to have any at 5 week ime

ChickenMe · 08/09/2014 18:23

Mine kicked in about 7 weeks. I was full of beans at five weeks compared to now (10+3) when I barely have the energy to move and feel sick at the thought of anything! However I think each pregnancy is unique. Hope it works out ok for you.

Sorry ladies Grin

ThatBloodyWoman · 08/09/2014 18:31

I didn't get any morning sickness with either pregnancy.
With the second I had no symptoms at all.

skyra13 · 08/09/2014 18:33

I not had any morning sickness Grin

Felt a bit sick around week 7 to 8 but nothing els really!

elfycat · 08/09/2014 18:41

Started at 14 weeks, just when I though I was safe.
Ended 36+2 weeks when my body evicted her. Best diet ever.

I lost weight in pregnancy had to be said that I had it to lose and was half a stone down on pre-pregnancy. After birth I was a stone and a half down.

squizita · 08/09/2014 18:51

Started 6 weeks, peaked 8 weeks, started to fade 10 weeks and gone by 14 bar the odd smell related episode.

squizita · 08/09/2014 18:52

...few people are sick as early as you. :) But equally some never hurl and have great big healthy babies! You might be lucky and dodge it!

insanityscratching · 08/09/2014 19:05

I've had terrible morning sickness with four of my five dc. Each time I was sick the day after my period was due. With ds 1 it lasted until I was 24 weeks, with ds 2 it lasted until I was 18 weeks and then I had another bout when I was 32 to 36 weeks. With ds 3 I was sick every single day, many times and it stopped when the placenta was delivered and with dd 2 it lasted until I was 22 weeks.
With dd1 I had no sickness or even nausea, I have no idea why it was different with dd1.

insanityscratching · 08/09/2014 19:11

The plus side of the horrendous sickness was that I never managed to put on weight and always ended up thinner than before I got pregnant.I used to say being pregnant was the best diet ever. With dd1 I still only put on 7lbs and she weighed 8lbs, I don't think pregnancy suits me.

Naomip88 · 08/09/2014 20:04

It was around 6-7 weeks for me and was triggered when I caught a whiff of the food waste bin!It eased off around 13. It has crept back since (i'm 20 weeks) but only in the evenings when I'm tired and dehydrated. Enjoy this bit before it starts!

SarahWH23 · 08/09/2014 20:30

DC1 - from 4 weeks till about 20 weeks
DC2 - from about 6 weeks until about 18/19 weeks

RiverRocks · 08/09/2014 21:10

MrsG, I had a mmc earlier this year too, and didn't have any nausea during the pregnancy. This time, it started at around 6 weeks and is on going at 11+1. Am hoping for miraculous resolution when I turn 12 weeks, so ignoring other posts where it lasted longer

But some people don't get any nausea, so if you don't get it, it doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong.

Congratulations Flowers fingers crossed the next 7 weeks or so pass quickly for you Smile

freneticfox · 08/09/2014 21:15

Started around 6 weeks, it's just tailing off now at 17+2... at least I hope it's tailing off!

hateweddings · 08/09/2014 21:17

From about 4-5 weeks till 8-9 weeks I was constantly nauseous, then it stopped totally. It worried me at the time as I didn't feel pregnant when stopped - I do appreciate how lucky I was now though.

kitkat321 · 08/09/2014 21:19

About 7 weeks til 18 weeks. I wasn't sick that often but felt very nauseous and retched a lot.

Still have the odd yucky day but nowhere near as bad.

Biffalobuff · 08/09/2014 21:28

V sorry to hear about your mmc.
Don't worry about not having symptoms,my first pregnancy was pretty symptomless,my second had a few more symptoms but both resulted in healthy babies, and this time I have horrendous morning/all day sickness started around end of 5th week, now almost 9 weeks and it is getting worse each day!
My mum never had morning sickness with me or my siblings either and I know plenty of other mummies who never had it either and went on to have healthy babies so don't fret and I wish you a happy, sickness free if you can manage it, and healthy 9 months!

Polkadotscarf · 10/09/2014 07:36

Nausea from about 8 weeks to 12 weeks then awful sickness until 23 weeks
