My all time classic emotsh moment was crying when the panda at Edinburgh zoo got pregnant last month.

Then there was remembering that a colleagues mum packed up a little lunch box of things she HAD to nibble on every hour during her morning sickness - the amount of love the mother had for her daughter to do that was overwhelming to me (at the time) lol.

If I'm in that mood where I need a good cry before I can get rationally on with the rest of my day, all I have to do is watch a youtube video of a flashmob! For some reason the build up and peek of the mob overwhelms me! Lol.

And if I'm in a freaked out tizzy about the enormity that's ahead of us, I just have to watch a youtube video of 'how to settle a crying baby' and I'm off! Completely overwhelmed in a bad kinda way. Lol.

What about you?

I cried after overhearing a woman on her mobile in Asda, obviously checking in to her care home reporting on a client. 'I found his pajamas' she said 'he was distraught, I managed to reassure him, I'm just getting his favourites now'

The kindness of this woman just overwhelmed me! I couldn't stop thinking about this poor old man upset at losing his pj's.

Yesterday I was driving to a meeting at a school and was crying because Dumbledore had died and I didn't want him to have died. It just wasn't fair still isn't fair that everyone Harry loves goes and bloomin' dies on him.

Maybe listening to Harry Potter audiobooks to make my commute a bit more bearable wasn't such a good idea while pregnant Blush

pippinleaf, I love yours. So many peas!!! Made me laugh at my desk, whoops.

I cried because:
-I made a labour playlist and Elvis' "Crying in the Chapel" came on
-I nearly caused two traffic accidents
-I watched Sainsbury's new Christmas ad, at work, with no sound

On a related note, I was getting very angry and emo yesterday morning because the Starbucks barista put my raisins directly my porridge rather than just giving me the bag. TOO MANY RAISINS. "Reasons the expectant mother is crying"

Dh brought home the wrong fruit

I'm 39+4. I bawled last night at the thought of being pregnant for a single day more because I have had enough.

bambi07 · 21/11/2014 15:50

I cried (wailed) because DP knocked my dr pepper on the floor and then didnt speak to him for an hour. I cant drink dr pepper anymore now they use aspartame, it was my last can (just to make me seem less crazy).
I ran out of spaghetti.
The pushchair arrived.
I went to spend my clothes vouchers with DP and when I tried on a dress I loved, he said "wow it looks so weird that you have a bump", I cried so much the sales assistants brought me tissues and a glass of water. DP felt so bad he bought me all of the things i'd tried on and liked, way more than the value of the voucher. Felt really guilty and embarrased about that one!

Chicken express delivered chicken with bones when I asked for boneless. I cried at them down the phone Angry
Same day I called the Hoover a fucking prick.
It wasn't a good day.

fasterkillpussycat · 21/11/2014 15:54

I cried when my husband put gravy on my dinner. I usually really like gravy but had taken against it for a moment.

Pippidoeswhatshewants · 21/11/2014 16:02

No more cheese rolls in the bakery Sad

Tryingreallyhard84 · 21/11/2014 16:04

A few days before I found out I was pregnant I cried that Great British Bake Off had finished for the year. Hubs asked why I was crying and all I could say was "I feel like I know them really well and I'll miss them". Should have known then.

The John Lewis advert - obvious but, how much did that little boy love his penguin?! In fact, any Christmas advert at the moment makes me well up a little.

Rebecca1608 · 22/11/2014 14:40

I cried during the only way is Essex!! Sad
I've never felt more pathetic in my life.

Bustherb · 22/11/2014 16:03

I cried last night at the Indian because I couldn't eat my poppadoms.. X Shock

RumAppleGinger · 22/11/2014 18:15

I cried yesterday because I remembered Patrick Swayze was dead.

hippymama1 · 22/11/2014 21:28

This is my absolute favourite thread - I am so pleased it isn't just me! Thank you all, you lovely ladies :-)

Elledouble · 23/11/2014 00:07

I keep welling up in the car on the way to work (I'm 18wks) because there's a couple I always pass in the same place. They kiss on the corner when I'm waiting for the traffic lights and then walk off in opposite directions, to get separate buses presumably, but they keep turning round to wave at each other. They just seem so sweet, I'm such a nutter.

PerpetualStudent · 23/11/2014 15:46

I've been crying all weekend because we have to pack and move house and it's too hard and I can't lift anything and I feel sick and I... Just... Can't... Dooooooooooooo it!

if I was a kid I'd send myself to my room to calm down

Arkkorox · 23/11/2014 16:49

Ive been in tears for the last half an hour cause I dont know what I want for dinner.

Also been crying at my partner cause I dont want to be on my own this evening but I also dont want anyone here cause I want to be on my own.

And crying because its my due date tomorrow, GET OUT BABY.

Bubble8 · 23/11/2014 20:38

Love this thread!!!

I ran into the bathroom door last night, it did hurt but not as much as I made out it did. I immediately started crying and went to bed, curled up and sobbed for half an hour. I was trying to remind myself I am an adult.. I wasn't very convincing.

ignominious · 23/11/2014 20:48

DD was teasing me. She's 1. Smile

birdofthenorth · 23/11/2014 23:37

Because they forgot my BBQ sauce at the McDonalds drive thru.

Because someone beeped excessively at me when crossing a road.

Because someone in church read out a thoughtful prayer.

Because my toddler kissed my tow better after I stubbed it.

DC3, 5th pregnancy, never been so weepy before.

SweetsForMySweet · 24/11/2014 00:13

I cried the other evening because my toddler was having a bad day and spent most of it crying while clinging to me. I'm so irrational some days that I have to give myself a talking to. I feel I'm having hormone overload a lot more this pregnancy. It's definitely a man's luck that they don't have to experience that! Smile. It's not all so bad, some days are better than others, it'll be worth it when we hold our baby in our arms.

Allstoppedup · 24/11/2014 00:20

A bird was on its own in the garden and it occurred to me birds mate for life (?!) and this bird looked old (!?) and was terribly lonely. Full on tears.

My cat died when I was 6 months pregnant. That was pretty sad. 2 months later whilst I was cooking dinner, I suddenly thought that there MIGHT not be a cat heaven (I'm not religious) and was inconsolable. DP thought something terrible had happened.

The dolmio pasta advert with the creepy Italian stereotype puppets having a romantic tryst over their pasta sauce whilst the grandparent puppets looked on me well up with happy tears everytime i saw it.

I was crazy.

dayspringjubilee · 24/11/2014 09:31

Saturday I told husband I was going for a walk in the park by myself. The minute I got to the park I felt deeply lonely and spent the rest of the afternoon sobbing about it.

MishMooshAndMogwai · 24/11/2014 10:13

I SOBBED when heavily pregnant with dd because id taken the wrong flavour yogurt out the fridge. I could've just swapped it as the one I wanted was right next to it but no! I sat and ate the wrong yogurt and sobbed through every spoonful!

upduffedsecret · 24/11/2014 12:08

so far this week - cried because my ex congratulated us.
cried because my partner's ex DIDN'T congratulate him (she hates me, for no reason... they split a LONG time ago, and well before we got together. I've never met her nor done anything to her)

and just now crying because I can't find any maternity clothes big enough to fit me (size 22 on bottom, 24-26 on top coz i have big boobs at the best of time.. everywhere stops at size 20! I'll manage)
