My all time classic emotsh moment was crying when the panda at Edinburgh zoo got pregnant last month.

Then there was remembering that a colleagues mum packed up a little lunch box of things she HAD to nibble on every hour during her morning sickness - the amount of love the mother had for her daughter to do that was overwhelming to me (at the time) lol.

If I'm in that mood where I need a good cry before I can get rationally on with the rest of my day, all I have to do is watch a youtube video of a flashmob! For some reason the build up and peek of the mob overwhelms me! Lol.

And if I'm in a freaked out tizzy about the enormity that's ahead of us, I just have to watch a youtube video of 'how to settle a crying baby' and I'm off! Completely overwhelmed in a bad kinda way. Lol.

What about you?

My hubby offered to put my favourite show on in the bedroom and make me a cup of tea so I can be comfortable in bed and watch my programme before I went to sleep. It was so sweet, he really looks after me so I just burst into tears lol

My MIL was visiting and called to say she was on her way, and was bringing some cake. I had a total rage melt down. Because I already had some cake.

katiegee · 19/09/2014 14:05

These have made me smile, definately cheered my day!

I cried at the 'too crowded with angels' speech in The West Wing. I then proceeded to rewind said speech and watch it 10 or 15 times, becoming slightly more hysterical with each viewing.

Last night I cried because our cat sat on the window sill looking out at the street. In my head, she was waiting for husband to come home and I cried because he was working a nightshift and wouldn't be home until the morning and I didn't know how to explain this to the cat.

I had a patient in work on Tuesday, little boy about 8 who had broken his arm. As breaks go, it wasn't a bad one and the little boy was quite happy once he'd been given some pain medication. I cried when I saw the nurse doing his plaster cos he looked so small and it was unfair that he had broken his arm and how would he manage in plaster for four weeks. I had to be escorted to the staff room by a wonderful colleague who has had the patience of a saint with me over the last few months.

My partner ordered me an apple cake in a cafe but they forgot the cream. That was enough to set me off crying in the cafe. I just laugh at myself now!

Last year when pregnant with DD I was watching the Top Gear where they get an old BMW and do a 24hour race in it. JC was so overjoyed at finishing it made me cry.

So far with this one (10+6), pretty much everything has made me well up.

Chixie · 29/09/2014 15:21

Had a huge sobbing fit complete with snotty streaks when I was 10weeks pregnant because I burnt the oven chips.

Kendodd · 29/09/2014 15:30

I cried in the vegetable aisle in the supermarket. I asked the assistant if they had any asparagus because I couldn't find any, he walked me over to the shelf where they're kept, the box was empty, so he said they 'must have run out, sorry'. I started to cry, he panicked a bit, said he'd have a look round the back and try to find me some, he did find some, but it was really expensive, I didn't want it at that price but felt I had no choice but to take it now.

jobrum · 30/09/2014 20:15

I told my husband I'd make him a sandwich and then found out we had no bread. This obviously lead me to the conclusion that I'll be a terrible mother who won't be able to feed her child.

Strawberriez · 30/09/2014 20:27

Unable to use the in-laws electric can opener (who doesn't keep a spare manual one?!) resulting in no beans for my jacket spud... Total meltdown and panicked "help me" call to OH!

RevoltingPeasant · 30/09/2014 22:34

I cried repeatedly a few weeks ago because I imagined DH dying.

Partially, I was sad because he had died in my head but mostly because I didn't know exactly what kind of funeral he would want Hmm

I woke up him crying just as he was falling asleep one night and made me help me plan his funeral so I would know what to do if the worst happened Blush

Then I was able to visualise his funeral, which also made me cry Blush

crazylady321 · 30/09/2014 22:38

Ds1 forgot his school bag today and that sent me off on one :(

liesal79 · 01/10/2014 09:42

I found out I had developed GD. That was sad, but the main thing to make me cry was that I had just done my online shop and hadn't brought the right things!!!!

ohthegoats · 01/10/2014 09:43

The paint was too yellow. The replacement paint was too brown. Meltdown.

Pampers advert - gets me everytime

Fillybuster · 01/10/2014 13:42

9 month pg, looking at Bugaboo in John Lewis. Couldn't replicate the 'pull handle, kick foot bit, fold down base' maneouvre as demonstrated by salesman and dh.

Totally and utterly and epic-ally lost it, whilst wailing "I can't do this, I'm going to be a terrible mother, I cant have this baby, it just isn't going to work"

They had to sit me down in the (display) nursing chair, bring me tea, biscuits and tissues and gently stroke my hair before I eventually pulled myself together.

That was over 9 years ago.

DH still teases me about it Grin

hinkyhonk · 01/10/2014 13:54

apple strudel

i tried to make it from scratch and the pastry kept ripping on the apples inside.

i was devastated

MrsCrankypants · 01/10/2014 14:01

I cried because my pizza had too much cheese on it. DH went and got me another with less cheese but I felt so guilty that the first was being thrown away I couldn't stop crying. DH had to eat the first pizza as well as his own so it could fulfil its destiny before I could eat mine. Then I cried because it had gone cold by then. I gave up and went to bed early that evening.

ohthegoats · 01/10/2014 14:03

Just opened a letter from my dentist telling me he's retiring. Cried. Had same dentist for 27 years.

farmerswifey · 01/10/2014 15:21

I bought a ready-made pie last week. It said on the packaging 'This pie has been pre-glazed for your convenience' I was so grateful I cried!

SeaSaltMill · 01/10/2014 15:57

I cried in the kitchen the other day because we had run out of butter and I wanted crumpets. I'm getting teary reliving it!

kusmile · 01/10/2014 18:35

For some reason I felt like watching the Eminem/Dido duet 'Stan' on Youtube, even though I'm not a fan, and I cried at the end.

If only Eminem had had the time to write back to Stan earlier, everything might have been ok Sad

Weirdly I feel like listening to it again now.

leanne963 · 01/10/2014 19:44

I just watched Hatchi. Sobbed. I don't just mean a little tear. I am talking choking on my own tears while gasping for air. I had to tell myself to keep it together.

skyra13 · 02/10/2014 13:42

I cried over a bloody Mr Kipling advert yesterday!

The one with the little boy and pink elephant! I have no idea why it made me cry they just seemed so happy eating cake together!

I'm only 13 weeks!

LadyFlashHeart · 02/10/2014 14:18

Grin This thread is brilliant! I feel almost normal...

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 02/10/2014 16:32

The other day I was a bit teary for no reason, so then I got really upset with myself and proper full on sobbed because I'd been crying for no reason. Poor DH thought he must have done something to upset me I was so distraught and he couldn't see any reason for it.
