Humourous music for my waterbirth

Chatting with a friend about putting together some music to play during my (hopefully) waterbirth we started thinking of songs that are....well....themed. Mainly to try and make the Midwife go Hmm "wtf" than to actually play all the way through.

So far we have
Under the Sea
The Celine song from Titanic
Born Slippy Grin

I need more! Help please!

I haven't RTFT, but have we had 'deliver us' from Prince Egypt. I think it pretty much sums up labour!

With the salt of my sweat on my brow
Elohim, God on high
Can you hear your people cry:
Help us now
This dark hour...

Deliver us
Hear our call
Deliver us
Lord of all
Remember us, here in this burning sand
Deliver us
There's a land you promised us
Deliver us to the promised land...

Do you know if you're having a girl?

There She Goes by The Las for the final push - or for when your waters break?

Short you made me laugh with 'Do you really want to hurt me? Culture club'. Excellent.

How about by Lemon Jelly or by The Real Tuesday Weld. Two whimsical nonsense tunes to make you chuckle.

travelswithtea · 25/08/2014 10:54

James blunt? James Blunt??! When you're giving birth!?? Oh dear God, kill me now!

MerryMarigold · 25/08/2014 14:08

Grin travels. My mum couldn't even put socks on my cold feet without me yelling at her because it was so intensely annoying during labour. I think the annoying factor is increased by the power of 10 with labour, so James Blunt may just send the OP over the edge.

travelswithtea · 25/08/2014 14:27

Over the edge indeed. Also, 'blunt' is not a word I would in any way want to associate with any aspect of giving birth!

FreeSpiritsBadAttitude · 25/08/2014 15:47

In the bath - Lemon Jelly?

May09Bump · 25/08/2014 16:28

How about by Musique?

toomanykidstoolittletime · 25/08/2014 17:53

I had my 6th baby in the water and he slipped out just as Busted sang the part in Year 3000 where not much has changed but they live underwater. Strange coincidence.

futuredad · 25/08/2014 17:55

Although it doesn't have a nautical theme as many of the other suggestions, I did find myself a bit Hmm last week while my DW was in the birthing pool and her ipod was playing "I've Got a Brand New Combine Harvester" by The Wurzels!!!

januaryjan · 25/08/2014 21:13

I gave birth to You're Beautiful by James Blunt - they tricked me into it! Had a lovely playlist of Smashing Pumpkins and Deftones for my water birth - then got rushed in for an emergency C-section and that's what the doctors were playing - yuk! :)

CoolCat2014 · 02/09/2014 10:40

I think James Blunt would make me throw things at the stereo Hmm
