Humourous music for my waterbirth

Chatting with a friend about putting together some music to play during my (hopefully) waterbirth we started thinking of songs that are....well....themed. Mainly to try and make the Midwife go Hmm "wtf" than to actually play all the way through.

So far we have
Under the Sea
The Celine song from Titanic
Born Slippy Grin

I need more! Help please!

Underwater Love - Smoke City was the first that came to mind!

Jenni2legs · 22/08/2014 20:04

Flow by Transister
Wave of Mutilation by The Pixies
both watery and mellow but dark

Is Rip her to Shreds by Blondie a bit close to the mark?

How about Hard Day's Night by the Beatles. Working like a dog certainly describes my labour.

spiderlight · 22/08/2014 21:36

Monty Python - Your baby has gorn down the plughole?

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 22/08/2014 21:47

Hopefully there will be no ripping to shreds!

Well obviously we all hope that. Sorry if that was a bit lose to the bone Grin.

I had a relaxing playlist that I thought might help during early labour with DC3. Couldn't get the speakers to work, tried for five minutes, got too far in and didn't give it another thought. Smile Progressed a lot faster than 1 and 2.

Im hoping it will be a sneezebirth as dd1 was 24 hours of agony followed by epidural, cut and eventual forceps. God awful! I think music would have given me the Rage last time. Trying for a serene experience this time (interspersed with a bit of Smack Ya Bitch Up)

I shall try and do better....

Comfortably Numb is you have an epidural?

The Final Countdown?
I will survive?
I'm still standing?

PenguinsIsSleepDeprived · 22/08/2014 22:07

Cross post! My no. 2 and no.3 were better. Not sneeze births, but better. Grin

When I went into labour with dd, at 4am, I was in a bar til ten pm the night prior having a dance to 9-5 by dolly. Then "Big Girls You are Beautiful" came on and I owned that dancefloor.

Im hoping to dance this one into labour too.

Tbh the whole of Queens back catalogue would probably make amazing labour music!
