Hello all

I was just wondering if you could sum up your experience of pregnancy in one sentence or less - the more humorous the better ....

OP posts:

Exhausting but wonderfully special. Ps. I'm so over it now and ready for her to come out. (39 weeks)

Most anxious time of my life

Heatherbell1978 · 30/06/2014 20:12

Endurance test, worth every second.

Lesshastemorespeed · 30/06/2014 21:56

First: Tired and sick, but exciting.
Second: Bone drainingly tired and the longest 9 months of my life.

frankiebuns · 30/06/2014 21:58

1st one ok, till the end then spd
2nd NEVER AGAIN I hate being sick

PickledinGin · 30/06/2014 22:04

1st - scary but exciting, only got nauseous when someone farted or the milk had gone off.

2nd - lovely, no sickness and happy in the knowledge he would be a 'sunroof delivery'.

3rd - again lovely but also weird as didn't admit I was upduffed until I was 5 months! The little sod also loved to put his feet up under my ribs and kick 7 shades out of me (now a very competent little footballer); also know he would be my last so cherished every second.

RedorBlack · 30/06/2014 23:21

Definitely an only child Grin

Poussay · 30/06/2014 23:25

Ended too soon :(

I'm just into the 3rd trimester of my first pregnancy, but I'd say so far in a very long sentence:

An experience so much tougher than I ever expected, but also totally amazing, and when I feel him move, the anticipation of meeting our baby boy soon is so exciting.

First 18 weeks simply getting through a day and night was a challenge due to exhaustion, sickness, headaches, dizziness, achy boobs, leg cramps and insomnia. For someone usually so healthy and energetic, I felt like about 10% of the real me. It has got progressively easier since then, and I'm 28 weeks and apart from 'baby brain' and acid indigestion, I feel amazing in comparison and definitely have moments when I enjoy having a bump and being pregnant now.

SpiffingGalore · 30/06/2014 23:56

Awful awful awful awful godawful, but worth it.

treaclesoda · 30/06/2014 23:58

Mostly unpleasant and terrifying but with moments of utter joy and amazement.

Heathcliff27 · 01/07/2014 00:18

Diahorrea followed by constipation followed by piles followed by prolapse

Iwillorderthefood · 01/07/2014 00:24

1st: scary, full of bleeding and fear of birth

2nd: less scary, still bleeding, more exciting, determined not it panic during birth

3rd: big surprise, tiring but easiest pregnancy of all. Terrified of the birth.

MrsGiraffe12 · 01/07/2014 05:40

DC1: scary, delivery at 32 weeks due to PET, reduced fluid, IUGR and border line HELLP syndrome

This time: One catalogue of health issues after another, never doing it again, it's awful

Trooperslane · 01/07/2014 06:26

Best time of my life - felt and looked amazing

FreiasBathtub · 01/07/2014 14:09

An unexpectedly anxious, (but simultaneously) boring time, during which I've been frustrated by how trapped I feel by my body and its new limitations.

I can't wait to get the real me back. Or at least a new version of the real me, with some interest in something other than pregnancy. It's made me extremely boring and single minded. I try to care about other stuff, but just can't... so, self centred and obsessive too, about something that is scaring and boring me. What a weird time.

Minion · 01/07/2014 17:32

I miss meat.

bakingaddict · 01/07/2014 17:34

Horrendous both times, glad i'm never going to do it again

minipie · 01/07/2014 17:38

Rollercoaster: worrying beginning, delightful middle, very scary end.

redexpat · 01/07/2014 17:43
