Anyone else very fed up of being pregnant now?

I'm 35 weeks and driving myself crazy! I'm so uncomfortable and this heat isn't helping. I'm constantly expanding, my jeans are getting too tight but it seems silly to buy anymore now.

I just want him out, he must be just about big enough by now!

Anyone else feeling the same?

Something terrible has happened to my spatial judgement, there was a huge space outside. My house, that my neighbour deliberately left for me, and I just could not get in it. You could. Get a transit van in there! Had to go around the corner to park instead.

My sister suggested I ask for a sweep at my 40 week appt, she is a midwife, so I guess she knows what she is talking about. I quite wanted that to remain a mystery for me. Am not keen. Still if I am till here next week, I may become more enthusiastic. I have had a few little hints of possibly things starting, but then I go to the bathroom and realise its nothing to do with being pregnant.

Iwillorderthefood · 10/06/2014 15:28

Sorry typing on a touch screen, I did not mean to have quite so many full stops in there!

RoseberryTopping · 10/06/2014 17:32

YY I like the davina DVDs, I think I am going to get her 15 minute intense one as I lose interest in doing the long ones. I also plan on getting a sling/wrap so I can get out on some long local walks during the 6 week hols, they're just not possible with any sort of pushchair and I get bored of the flat ones.

Aww your poor DH sea! Is it just the labour bit he's nervous of or is it the becoming a parent and responsible for a real life baby? Both are quite scary!

I'm hopeful I'll still get a sweep at 40 weeks, my MW hinted at doing it at next appointment so we'll see. I definitely want one though. They don't really hurt, just uncomfortable. My friend told me that she asked for them to not be shy with it and she went in to labour 2 hours after Shock don't know if I dare say that though!

Yes also to lots of walks, loads nice ones near us. Also getting a sling for baby plus off road buggy for dd.
DH bit anxious about being dad to two & how crazy it's going to be. We're v lucky that he's having a month off work but means that now he's working v hard & long hours to cram in as much as poss. Plus he gets up every day with dd at 6ish so is v tired, but insists on doing it. We've also got my parents staying with us, which is brilliant on one hand, but think he might be starting to feel bit fed up with them after a whole week! Ultimately he just wants to get on with it & doesn't like waiting!!

Hmmm I'm thinking I should have had the sweep now, some of my friends also said how they went into labour afterwards....think it's v varied though.

RoseberryTopping · 10/06/2014 19:07

Think I'm the same as your DH! If I don't think about it I'm fine but then when I sit and give it some thought I get a bit panicky. No idea why, I've managed to keep one child alive for 4 years so I'm sure I can do the same again.

Yes of course you can! Life is just going to be a lot more busy & crazy for a while. I can't think about it either really....can I cope with two??! Very in awe of you third time mummies on here!!

Iwillorderthefood · 10/06/2014 22:31

In for one have similar worries to you that are going to become second time mummies. I managed to go from one to two, so will you in the way that works for you.

I am sure it will be hard for all of us, but I am hopeful that after a while it. Will work out. I think it's the waiting that is the worst bit.

I for one just want to get this bit over and get started.

Sorry typing on a touchpad still, terrible typos.

Haven't read anything just popped in briefly to say Hope Lucy was born today. It was all quite traumatic but we got there.
She is in the neonatal but is doing well and will hopefully be off the ventilator soon.
I'll post the whole birth story later but for now I must sleep. Smile

TheOriginalWinkly · 10/06/2014 23:39

Darksideofthemoon88 · 11/06/2014 15:11

Just before I go back and see what's been going on for the last few days, may I make an announcement? Baby Darkside was born at 0438 on Sunday after a loooooooong labour that began on Tuesday night! She weighed 7lb11 at birth - rather a big'un for a little mother! - and is just perfect. Rather in love Smile

Hope everyone else is doing well.

evertonmint · 11/06/2014 15:15

Ah many congratulations darkside! Hope all went well, and is still going well :)

And winkly, hope you're having a great last day.

I now have zero signs of this baby coming soon. Even the continuous BH have lessened (well, worse last night in bed but not problematic at all today). Due date tomorrow and I am pretty certain it will be the third one I see out. I do overdue!

Darksideofthemoon88 · 11/06/2014 15:17

Theoriginal: LOVED your post about the very tiny moon.... (sorry) - had me and DP in stitches! Grin

RoseberryTopping · 11/06/2014 15:45

Aww well done darkside Grin I bet she is just gorgeous!

I have a sneaking suspicion that this baby has flipped himself over and gone breech. I'm praying I'm wrong but I do feel very solid up top and am getting digs in my pelvis. Really hope I'm wrong!

Iwillorderthefood · 11/06/2014 15:50

Congratulations Dark.

My due date today, no signs at all, barely even a BH. Hope I do not go too long, as my parents are staying here until she arrives. What an imposition on them to be here putting their lives on hold for so long!!!

evertonmint · 11/06/2014 16:04

Iwill - I doubt your patents see it is an imposition. They're probably just thrilled to be there to help you. And I think better they're there and prepared anyway as I have a funny story from last time about my in-laws . With DD they were on standby for 5 weeks. I had a slight scare at 36ish weeks which meant we all thought she was imminent. So they had their bags packed ready to dash to look after DS at any time of day or night (lived an hour away). 5 weeks and no baby later, they have a leisurely evening drive down as I am going in to be induced the next day. So they have all day to get ready, water their plants, sort the post, empty their fridge etc. They arrive at ours for a nice last supper only to realise they'd left the suitcase with all their clothes and toiletries in it by the front door where it had lived for 5 weeks so they could just grab it in an emergency Grin They had to make a mad dash to Tesco for knickers and toothpaste before it closed! They have never lived this down, and fortunately for them now only live 5 mins drive away so don't have to worry so much if they do repeat this idiocy Grin

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 11/06/2014 16:32

Darkside, congratulations! Well done you!
