Eat all the banned cheese with a decent sized glass of red wine
Go to Yo sushi for some raw fish

And later...
rejoin my badminton club
Take my DD ice skating for the first time (thanks Frozen...)

Obviously these won't be immediately after the birth but I'm making my post birth bucket list.

What is, or was, on yours?

after this baby is born

  • I will be very happy to hold and get to know him/her. I can't wait Smile
  • I will be 40
  • I will never be pg again (7 children are plenty)
  • I will make an effort to eat well and excercise
  • I will drink lots of water (morning sickness prevents me atm)
  • I plan to go on a skiing holiday (in a few years time)
  • I'll be sad to get rid of baby clothes, but excited to get rid of maternity ones!
  • I'll be definitely broody again and consider getting a puppy
ZingWatermelon · 28/04/2014 23:24

and yes to proper, pretty bras!

crazylady2013 · 28/04/2014 23:41

Eat anything I feel like and not worry about what egg, cheese or fish is in it.
Drink G&T, champagne and cocktails.
Once all that is passed I will stap on my roller skates and go back to roller derby Grin .

McFox · 28/04/2014 23:52

Love this thread Smile

I'm going to:
drink espresso martinis
and red stag on ice
love not having to wake up to pee every 1.5 hours
eat all the pâté
and some oysters
and a Chinese takeaway
go for long walks without needing to sleep for 2 hours afterwards.

Grin
AmberSweet · 28/04/2014 23:56

Ahh so nice to have others to say (or type even Grin) these things to! I'm going to...

-Have a large cocktail
-pate on toast
-lay on my stomach
-wear anything and everything that isn't leggings!!!

livingzuid · 29/04/2014 04:25

Enjoy a medium steak
Cook something (have hg)
Go for a run
Hug my dh and hopefully indulge in more (can't bear to be hugged atm get very claustrophobic)
Breathe properly at night
Have a full nights sleep in every other position aside from my side (dh is doing night feeds for the first month hooray)

And

Corona with a lime on top

strawberryjam · 29/04/2014 07:30

Wear and buy some decent clothes that fit correctly
Sit in the garden with a glass of wine
Sleep flat, not bolt upright due to the heartburn
Pate and Stilton will feature very heavily on my shopping list

squizita · 29/04/2014 08:34

McFox Chinese takeaway is allowed (by UK guidelines anyway). :)

Strawberry Stilton counts as a hard cheese and can be eaten uncooked. :)

Little miss anxiety read ALL the guidelines in an obsessive fashion, thankfully found some pleasant surprises in there!

Isabelleforyourbicycle · 29/04/2014 09:33

I think I've found a new business venture - mobile wine and pate bars, situated outside each maternity unit. Also on offer, proper coffee, a full bar, sushi and the best runniest listeria laden cheese.

You'll see me pitching that on dragons den soon I promise!

Camembert and lots of it! Baked with loads of baguette to dip in- mmmm.
A lovely big glass of Shiraz.
Completely agree with sleeping on my stomach- bliss!

McFox · 29/04/2014 11:04

Squizita sadly its not if you have gestational diabetes :( I just want what I can't have when I normally eat clean anyway!!

ithoughtofitfirst · 29/04/2014 16:32

I'm going to smoke a fag.

Then eat a platter of cheese.

Have a nap sleeping on my front (probably have some crazy dreams)

And wake up to a seafood paella cooked my husband.

...Of course none of the above will actually happen!!

sauvignonblacks · 29/04/2014 16:35

Patê rare steak and a large Gin and that's before I have left the hospital!

squizita · 29/04/2014 16:40

McFox I must admit I live in dread of that... I have developed a sweet tooth in my 'condition' which was never there before! I think having to eat salad etc' only when pregnant nature's cruel joke! Poor you. :(

Chivesmum · 29/04/2014 17:49

I just want normal food to taste normal and not feel nausea about everything - hoping that goes at the end of the first tri!

Then once baby is here - red wine, ice cold rose and a lovely ice cold glass of cider - probably not on the same night!!!

SassehMonsta · 29/04/2014 18:25

I'm going to plan a long dog walk - can't cope with more than an hour with the dog and he needs way more! (The tiredness goes down a bit after first trimester, right?!)

I'm going to tell my sister not to have kids, she that she can just borrow mine to save her from the puking!!

pickletalk14 · 29/04/2014 18:41

Oysters
Champagne (have been drinking wine but bubbles give me heartburn)
Go out with someone else is carrying the baby!

Plateofcrumbs · 29/04/2014 19:37

I genuinely think I'm going to pack Brie, pate and a baguette in my hospital bag.

Nunyabiz · 29/04/2014 20:41

Sasseh...
How do I put this gently?
Um no. Lol

pommedeterre · 29/04/2014 20:57

squizita · 29/04/2014 21:00

Just sent a recipe for mojito flavour cakes by a cookery site.

Sod that. 4 months and I'm having an actual mojito.

squizita · 29/04/2014 21:01

...in 4 months I mean!

ZingWatermelon · 29/04/2014 21:03
