Oh Euro!! What a beautiful snuggle bundle you have! She is adorable.

Hatteras · 25/07/2014 15:39

Euro congratulations!! So glad to hear that centime has arrived safely, and is making great progress. She is just beautiful.

Happy to read that everyone is doing well. All fine here, just passing the time by waiting to meet our little one. Just a couple of days shy of 30 weeks now - feels like a big transition to go from the '20-something' weeks into the '30-something weeks'.

time2deal · 25/07/2014 15:50

Congratulations euro! Lovely little girl, and hope she continues to do well.

Hatt I know what you mean about the big 30. I'm 29+2 and counting down the days. Feels like a long waiting game, but love that every day my bit gets stronger and stronger.

Hatteras · 25/07/2014 16:49

Time, how are you doing? Are you likely to deliver early? Hope the enforced home rest is passing well enough. Like you say, every day that passes is a day that our babies get bigger and stronger!

time2deal · 25/07/2014 17:17

No idea why that double posted...anyway..

Going OK. Starting to really struggle at home. I'm just lonely and its hard to keep focussed on the goal. I'm trying not to sleep all day but maybe I should - might make time go faster. Plus arguing with my husband as I'm... I don't know what I am. Just a bit miserable and hot.

Baby is expected around 34 weeks, but could go longer. Doctors all dont know.

Sigh, not having a great day actually.

vallinnapod · 25/07/2014 17:41

((Hugs)) time. You are arguing with DH because you have cabin fever and he is mobile, out of the house every day and not responsible for growing a new life. I can only relate to the last point....! Go easy on yourself, you have done amazingly!

resipsa · 25/07/2014 18:42

Oh Euro. Those little hands. Sorry, I have to go and have a cry...beautiful!

Huge congrats again and I hope that the three of you get home together soon.

PS Enjoy sleep while you can. Seriously.

eurochick · 25/07/2014 20:09

34 weeks worked for us time. It is a good gestation in terms of lung development and so on. But there are babies far earlier than her in the neighbouring cots and they are doing really well.

Thank res. I'm getting myself up a couple of times a night to express - I need to keep my supply up as they are putting her milk intake up each day and I need to keep up! But I'm still getting a fair amount of rest too.

Bearsandhoney · 25/07/2014 23:37

Congratulations euro and welcome to the world centime!!! I am so excited to hear your news, you must be so thrilled to finally have her. Sorry to hear the C-section didn't go as well as you wanted. I hope she is able to come home really soon and you can start family life with your new little bundle (I haven't seen the picture unfortunately as the links don't seem to post on IPads for some reason...).

Time: thinking of you, and just to mirror what other have said, you shouldn't underestimate how much of a trial being bed bound for so long is. I think you are doing so very well, so please be kind to yourself. Turning 30 weeks is a real mile stone and another step closer to bringing baby home.

Hi to everyone else, its great to hear of all your progress and news. I don't have much to report other than we had our 20 week scan and all was well with the baby. Its a big relief. Have I mentioned that DS has christened the bump baby Rio? Off the back of the kids movie Rio 2... It's quite cute, he seems very excited about the prospect of a baby brother.

I think tomorrow is another scorcher... I love good weather (who doesn't!) but the tubes are another matter in this heat! Thankfully I have found many nice people have offered me their seat which helps, otherwise commuting would be a nightmare!!!. It seems wrong to mind the sun being out in this country! Anyway have a great weekend all.

Xx

Ferreroroche123 · 27/07/2014 12:45

As for me, Baby Leo was born on 21st July by c section, weighing 7lb 15 Oz. I was in hospital for 4 days while I got my mobility back. Last few days have been physically painful, but apparently all is on track.

As for my little man, he is just perfect. Our biggest challenge is he sleeps too much in the day and we are having to wake him to feed then he is up several times in the night feeding of his own choice. Feel like a zombie.

He also will not breast feed and hates my breast milk even when in bottle. Maybe the taste of all my post c section painkillers.

So my boobs are currently on fire while I wait for the milk supply to stop.

That aside, he is worth it all.

euro congratulations. My c sec was also pretty awful, but am healing well. I hope you get your lovely girl home soon.

Congrats!! He's adorable!! I love the name you chose too, it is in our shortlist. The picture of your other boy with him is just lovely. I hope the feeding stuff gets easier soon. xx

Bearsandhoney · 27/07/2014 20:44

Congratulations ferreo, how wonderful that your son has arrived. Sorry to hear your c section didn't go so well either. I hope you ET well and back to your normal self soon. Xx

vallinnapod · 27/07/2014 20:51

Congrats Ferrero! Leo was on our boys list Grin. He is very cute! Lving the picture of (I assume) your older DS and Leo, very, very sweet.

I hope the post CS recovery and mammoth boobs aren't too horrendous.

SO lovely too see the arrivals!

I am having a horrible anxious period. 17+2 at the mo and just petrified something has gone wrong. Although I have an anterior placenta I have been feeling movement, albeit very inconsistently, since 13 weeks. Haven't really felt anything for nearly a week now and completely panicked. All was fine at my 16 week MW check. I am actually too worried to even go for a scan because I can't bear being told something may be wrong.

nobeer · 28/07/2014 09:04

Congratulations Ferrero! What a cutie Smile

eurochick · 28/07/2014 13:38

Congrats Ferrero! He's gorgeous. I hope your recovery goes well. You look great in the photo.

val it's still too early for regular movements, even without the anterior placenta. Can you ask your mw for a comfort check to listen for the heartbeat?

BeetlingAbout · 29/07/2014 11:07

Congratulations Ferrero! He is adorable and i love them name too. I hope that you heal quickly; it's good that Leo is such a sleepy baby whilst you recover. I remember having leaky, rock boobs for a week after losing the twins and cabbage leaves really did help - as well as hot soaks in the bath, lots of chocolate and champagne Smile Must be so sore for you xx

Euro, How is Centime getting on? Have you been given any idea on how long she'll be in hospital? I really hope that she is getting stronger by the day, and that you are also recovering well from the section.

Vall, how are you coping with the worry? I remember Pram had an anterior placenta and i don't think she felt movement until much later, around 23 weeks i think(?). Baby is just very nicely cushioned inside Smile

Time, how are you? Bed rest sounds very challenging mentally and it's understandable that you are feeling irritable with DH - he is still out and about as usual whilst you're bored at home. How many weeks are you now and when is your next scan? Could things improve to a level where bed rest is lifted?

Hi to everyone else i have missed and it's lovely to hear how everyone is progressing.

I am 24 weeks tomorrow and waiting anxiously for cervical length scan on friday....just want to be thirty weeks already. I still haven't announced to my friends (bar a few i've had to tell for various reasons), and so must seem so antisocial at the moment for avoiding them all now that bump cannot be hidden. Perhaps after friday I can tell them...scared of jinxing things.

vallinnapod · 29/07/2014 13:01

Well, I succumbed and have hired a doppler. The MW showed me how to distinguish between all the various noises at my 16 week appointment. Found the heartbeat easily so hopefully for the next month or so it will be my reassurance!

Everything crossed for Friday Beetle.

time2deal · 29/07/2014 16:16

I'm better today. Still not fully resolved things with hubby, but we at least had a hug today and so know it will get better.

I have a scan tomorrow, maybe they will tell me it's ok. I can sort of go out, but it's the guilt and worry that stops me. I had to get out yesterday so walked to local park and just watched people. Some kids 14/15 playing football and walking the dog, a couple with their toddler learning to walk, someone doing personal training. I was the crazy lady sitting on a bencch just staring! But it was actually really, like a relief. To just see real life going on, and remembering I can get back to that - I will have a normal life again eventually!

Anyway, I need to be careful. On Friday I think I was closest I've ever been to an actual breakdown. Scary out of control - I was going to call the hospital but part of me know it was a panic attack so I calmed myself down. Scared me though - to see how badly hormones and everything are impacting me.

Val - I have a doppler. I know there are mixed opinions about it, but I found it reassuring. I don't worry too much early on when I couldn't find him, but even recently when he had a quiet day it was nice to get a little reassurance. He kicked off later as expected! Use plenty of lube as that is important to make it work.

Hatteras · 29/07/2014 17:10

Congrats Ferrero, what a beautiful little boy! It is so exciting and lovely to see the new arrivals.

Time, I really feel for you. If it helps at all, I have found that the last week or so I have started getting very hormonal/emotional - teary and a bit snappy for no reason (other than being 30 weeks pregnant...) and I don't have the worry you have had to deal with nor being stuck at home. The strength of the hormonal/emotional stuff kind of surprised me, and it must be especially magnified for you.

I think you are doing amazingly. You will have a normal life again and be out there in the world, and enjoying it all with your baby boy - it probably seems like such a long way off right now, but you'll get there, just try and get through a day at a time. Thanks

nobeer · 01/08/2014 12:41

Hello there ladies, hope this message finds you all well. I've just come back from 20 week scan at the hospital, baby's developing fine. I was a bit worried as the medication which I must take for a pre-existing condition can cause spina bifida or a cleft palate so I'm really relieved that everything is fine. Also found out she's a girl! I'm so surprised, I was convinced she was a boy. I really don't mind either way, and I'm just so happy! A tear might have rolled down my face when the nice doctor told me!

vallinnapod · 01/08/2014 12:58

Awh, congrats nobeer. I have mine a week Wednesday!

nobeer · 01/08/2014 13:11

Got everything crossed for you Val and I'll be back here to see how you get on. How are you getting on with the doppler?

Time how are you getting on? How was your scan? Hope you're ok, you've been having such a tough time.

Beetle hope your cervical scan goes ok today too.

vallinnapod · 01/08/2014 13:39

Blush Sorry beetle - good luck for today.

Nobeer - the doppler is very reassuring, used it twice in 5 days (I am promising to wean myself to a max of once a week Wink) DS was very excited to hear the choo-choo train of a heartbeat. Only keeping it until I feel regular movement.

BeetlingAbout · 01/08/2014 16:57

Great news that all is going well, nobeer. Are you keen to start shopping now you know the gender?

Vall I'm pleased to hear that the doppler is giving you reassurance and I think twice in five days is very restrained! Hopefully you'll be getting more definite movement soon.

Euro, how are you and dh? How is centime?

Time, I hope you're hanging in there xx

my scan was good in the sense that baby is fine, however it was a bit of a shambles in that they told me I shouldn't have vaginal scans with the stitch. The one I had at 18 weeks was by an agency worker and so it wasn't raised with me then. I saw the consultant after the abdomen scan who said the same thing. Their take on it is that there is nothing they could do if the stitch was failing (errr...What about bed rest? Progesterone? ) so best leave it alone.

so, long story short, I didn't have my cervical length checked at all as they couldn't see it through my intestine on the abdominal scan. Not sure how I feel about this...it's not the reassurance I was hoping for.
