Thanks Euro I work quite close to Tommies, and get into Waterloo. I could have probably done with NOT knowing how good their EPU is Grin Would certainly go there over Kingston (for anyone contemplating it you need a GP/A&E referral plus their opening hours are erratic)

BeetlingAbout · 20/05/2014 12:55

I ended up at Tommies for my scary bleed as it was closest to where i was working. Although a horrible experience for obvious reasons, i couldn't fault the staff...plus the view from the waiting room was lovely and it was very quiet.

St George's, Tooting, also have a walk in EPU open from 08.30 - 11 (mon - sat), and despite the long wait for a scan, they are also very good and they will scan you for any reason (i.e. anxiety - not just bleeding)

Good luck Val. Hope al is well with bean.

resipsa · 20/05/2014 13:38

Thanks for the input, you guys, but I live in Manchester (well, Cheshire really - natch - but nowhere near London). I am one of life's procrastinators so no doubt will be writing the same on here in two weeks time.

My scan is on 2 June by the way so only another 13 days of hell to go!

I hate the way that our own experiences inform us but such is life. With DD, I had such an easy pregnancy - found out at 6 weeks, scan at 9 weeks, no bleeding, no real bump for ages and she arrived quite quickly on the day afrer she was due. I want it to be like that again but it can't be, I know. With my MMC, I had minimal amouns of brown blood at, you guessed it, 5 weeks 5 days for a week or so and was reassured by all (inc the midwife) that there was nothing to worry about as not red and no pain. She was wrong.

Thank God for you lot and the chance to rant!

Val?

eurochick · 20/05/2014 13:47

res I was sure that you were a fellow Londoner! It looks like the info has been useful (or not!) for val anyway.

My next scan is on 3 June (28 weeks) - to see if the blood flow to the placenta issue has sorted itself out.

vallinnapod · 20/05/2014 14:21

All fine, which is great. Hard to shake the fact it was at this stage in the summer too but for now....!

I'll be scanned again on 4th as my MMC was at 9 weeks. I'll be 9+5 then so everything crossed! Smile

Euro - my sophistication must shine through my posts Wink. In my time, I have resided in Maida Vale, Putney, Golders Green and Herne Hill. HH was lovely despite the SE code at which all my SW friends turned their up.

resipsa · 20/05/2014 14:38

Missing 'nose'!

eurochick · 20/05/2014 14:39

I'm a SE London lass - most things north of the river are a complete mystery to me!

resipsa · 20/05/2014 14:49

I wasn't a native so never really got the north/south thing. I love bits of both.

Val, when was your ET? Was it day 5 embie? You are 2 weeks ahead of me, I think. On 4 June, I'll be 7wks 5 days Grin.

vallinnapod · 20/05/2014 14:52

3 Day embie. 7+4 today so yep...we are fortnight buddies Grin

Euro I was born and raised in Islington. Now live SW which I still marvel at not needing my passport to get to Wink

resipsa · 20/05/2014 19:33

Euro - will it be a definitive OK (or not but let's forget that for now) at your next scan? Limbo land is never a fun place.

nobeer · 20/05/2014 23:03

Res so glad you're ok. My next scan is on the 2nd too, but I'll be 12 weeks. Still bricking it though.

Val I'm really pleased your scan was fine. I've got everything crossed for the next one.

Not much news from me apart from being right off my food and feeling sick all the time. I swear it's getting worse not better. Or maybe it's just getting bloody boring.

resipsa · 21/05/2014 08:57

Hi Nobeer.

So, it's no better by 10 weeks (the anxiety, I mean)? Oh gawd.

Feeling good today so, obviously, anxious that it's all gone wrong Blush.

After DD, I used to say sleep deprivation was the best form of torture. Now I know it's actually early IVF pregnancy!

Ferreroroche123 · 21/05/2014 09:48

Agree with that resipsa.

IVF is a series of anxious hurdles, ivf pregnancy is just an extension of that torture magnified!

Hang in there. Just do your best and know that what you feel is normal.

Finally got some images through from my repeat 4d on Saturday in Harley street. I chose these two for printing and framing (as part of the package price). Hope he will be this peaceful when he comes out!

They are fantastic!

Ferreroroche123 · 21/05/2014 10:11

Thank you. I can't wait to meet him now.

How is your spotting now resipsa?

resipsa · 21/05/2014 10:23

Non existent thankfully. Now I'm calmer, I can see that the small blob of jelly like brown stuff probably wasn't a big deal but the m/c in Dec is a not-so-distant memory...feeling +ve today so might as well embrace it.

eurochick · 21/05/2014 10:28

Wow - what great pictures. He does look very peaceful. I'm sure that won't last!

res by the next scan the blood flow issue should either have resolved itself, just late, in which case I am fine, or not, which means it probably won't and puts me at risk of pre-eclampsia, growth restriction and prem birth. Apparently in most people the uterine arteries dilate by 20 weeks. In some people they dilate a bit later. I have to hope I am in that category! Everything in this pregnancy has been late so far (slow embie, late onset of morning sickness, no second tri energy spurt until I am almost in the third tri and so on) so I have to hope that I am just a late dilator too.

nobeer the nausea is very wearing, isn't it? I got so behind with everything, after being incapable of doing anything other than laying on the sofa and groaning during my free time.

Ferreroroche123 · 21/05/2014 10:33

That's good news res. I hope it stays away now.

resipsa · 21/05/2014 16:06

Sigh. More blood (tinged pessary discharge) here. I think this one is going the same way as the las... Sad

Ferreroroche123 · 21/05/2014 16:58

Do you think it is the pessary irritating you inside?

Can you do it up the back instead? I have been on progesterone for 32 weeks Shock and find it problem free up the back (apart from when I need to poop within 10 mins.

Keeping fingers crossed it's nothing major but if it continues can you ask to get your scan brought forward? Or is it too early to see anything?

Badhairday76 · 21/05/2014 17:56

It could well be cervical irritation, Res. My clinic prefers you to stick them up the bum for that very reason. Don't did pair yet. Thinking of you though xx

Badhairday76 · 21/05/2014 17:57

I meant to write 'don't despair yet' - bloody predictive text!
