As above really! Did you have a feeling you were having a boy/ girl and were you right or wrong?
I have 2 DS and currently pregnant with 3rd DC. I had a strong feeling with DS2 that he was a boy. I am wavering between girl and boy at the minute but no strong feelings.
I can't decide whether to find out this time as it would be good to get organised and decide on names but as this will be my last pregnancy I'm considering holding out until the birth. (If I can wait that long)

Yes, and yes. I had a strong feeling from the start that DS was a boy. We never found out his sex at the scan, but I used to refer to my bump as "he" and even told the MW when we arrived at the hospital that I would be amazed if it was a girl. I was right!

Now pregnant with DC2, my gut feeling is girl, but I'm not sure if that's because I would secretly quite like a girl this time (although obviously will be v v happy either way - feel guilty even thinking it!). I don't have the strong feeling that I did last time though. I think we are going to find out at the 20 week scan this time, only 4 weeks to wait!

Fivemoreminutesmummy · 18/04/2014 08:01

Me too tbh (about the preference thing) I do feel guilty even writing it here and would never mention it in real life. I adore my DSs more than anything and know I would love a third but the secret preference is there.
Good luck at your 20wk scan

With both my DD's I had a really strong gut feeling that were girls. Both pregnancies were exactly the same too. This time round, I have a gut feeling it's a boy and can't shake it. We'll see!

Mmolly2013 · 18/04/2014 08:07

I had a feeling it was a girl and i was right

WanderingTrolley1 · 18/04/2014 08:08

I was right with all 3 of my children.

All the best!

Suzietwo · 18/04/2014 08:08

The first two, one of each, I was certain from the moment of conception and was right, altho wavered a bit in the final few weeks.

This time I'm much much less sure. I'd go 65% girl but I wouldn't be shocked if it were a boy.

It's odd genuinely not knowing.

Fivemoreminutesmummy · 18/04/2014 08:10

It's funny isn't it? I wonder what it is- intuition or luck? But it seems to be the case that people have been correct with their guesses.

My hubby and I knew we were having a boy and we were right. But there's only two right or wrong lol 50/50

I do think it was a gut feeling but I think it's one of those things hit and miss

peggyundercrackers · 18/04/2014 08:15

We didn't find out the sex of our dd at the scan, I always thought it was a girl and even bought girls stuff and everyone didn't believe me and mocked me, lo and behold we had a girl, once dd was here no one would believe we hadn't found out the sex at the scan.

acjfluff · 18/04/2014 08:18

I knew DS was a boy as soon as I saw him at the 12 week scan but had no strong feelings until then. My DH thought I was hormonal and fanciful because I was so certain. He should've learned I'm always right Grin

SicknSpan · 18/04/2014 08:22

With ds1 I had a strong feeling he was a boy, but no inkling at all with ds2. Now 34 weeks with dc3 and like Spaniel and Fivemore I have a feeling that this one is a girl but ignoring it as I'm in the same position, would love a girl but wouldn't ever say this out loud! Feel terribly guilty as I wouldn't be disappointed with a son at all- it would be just as exciting and I'd be thrilled- but a girl really would be the icing on my testosterone-fuelled family cake ;)

Groovee · 18/04/2014 08:31

I had inklings from early on with both and was right both times.

OooOooTheMonkey · 18/04/2014 08:33

I was convinced I was having a boy. Right from the beginning. I even called the bump 'he'. Turns out she was a beautiful little girl! I can always guess the sex of everyone else's though! Just not my own. Blush

BoffinMum · 18/04/2014 08:35

Nope, no idea. Hopeless.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 18/04/2014 08:37

I had 2 boys and when I was pregnant with DC 3 I was certain it was a 3rd boy, like a poster above referred to him all the way through pregnancy and labour, even the MW was calling him 'him' :) my beautiful daughter will be 1 at the end of the month Easter Blush

chestnutmare · 18/04/2014 08:49

I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant with my first, and right from the beginning I was convinced we were having a girl, just could not see it being a boy. We had a private scan to find out the sex at 21 weeks, and a girl was confirmed, even got a free rescan with a different sonographer the following week and she said girl too.

Baby isn't here yet, so I guess she could still turn out to be a he! Grin

KangKorandKoloth · 18/04/2014 08:58

convinced both times I was having a girl. I have two boys. With ds2, everyone else were also convinced he was going to be a girl and were pretty surprised when she turned out to be a she!

ilovemonstersInc · 18/04/2014 08:58

Yep
I have 2 ds and im 21weeks pregnant with 3rd and I dont want any more after this one that's what I said last time lol

At first I thought girl. Then one night I thought nope it's a boy. During scan baby wasnt in right position and needed shifting. Thats what happened both times before and that confirmed it for me that its a boy following his big brothers footsteps! She said can you see that pointing up, he waa flashing at us! Easter Grin
Would have liked a girl too but im more than happy with my boys love them to bits

ithoughtofitfirst · 18/04/2014 09:02

With my boy I knew and was right.

This pregnancy is totally different in every way so I'm thinking girl. I actually don't have a preference cause either would be lovely! A little girl in cute little clothes or a little partner in crime for my ds. Lush.

duvetfan · 18/04/2014 09:05

I thought I was having a boy and I was right. I think this one is a girl but my feelings are not as strong this time. Only 14 weeks so a long time to wait...

McFlurry · 18/04/2014 09:06

When I talked about the baby, I often unconsciously referred to 'he' which made me think I was having a boy. However, when I thought about doing things with in the future with my child, I had a clear image of a girl. I had a girl.

amy246 · 18/04/2014 09:52

I always always thought I was having a boy. I called him 'he' and never even considered it might be a girl! I was right :) also everyone else thought it was a boy as well

neversleepagain · 18/04/2014 09:59

I was convinced I was having twin boys, absolutely certain. Mother's instinct and all that.

I was wrong. Twice. I now have twin girls Grin

dontevenblink · 18/04/2014 10:15

I had a feeling each time, and I was right with all 3! Especially so with DS2 (dc3), when prepping for my C-section the midwife asked if she should do a pink or blue band and I said definitely blue. I don't know why, just had a feeling each time. This time I'm not so sure, although I am swaying towards a girl more - time will tell! We have never found out at the scans, DH and I both really like having the surprise at the end (and we're both stubborn Grin )

FoodieMum3 · 18/04/2014 10:29

No I was wrong both times.

I keep dreaming that this one is a boy, it will be interesting to see if my dreams are true.
