As above really! Did you have a feeling you were having a boy/ girl and were you right or wrong?
I have 2 DS and currently pregnant with 3rd DC. I had a strong feeling with DS2 that he was a boy. I am wavering between girl and boy at the minute but no strong feelings.
I can't decide whether to find out this time as it would be good to get organised and decide on names but as this will be my last pregnancy I'm considering holding out until the birth. (If I can wait that long)

McFlurry How unusual... I'm doing that too! 20 week scan next week so we'll see if it's words or mental pictures that are right!

Although my friend who has this weird 'knack' (she is not at all woo - more TOWIE, but she can sniff out a pregnancy and dreams genders/twins with spooky accuracy) said she dreamed I had a little girl with black hair (DH has black hair, I am fair but mixed so entirely poss). So we will see!

GoooRooo · 18/04/2014 10:56

I was 100% sure I was having a girl the first time. I have a son - so my spidey senses are obviously off! I was so shocked when he was born - although still delighted!

I have absolutely no idea what I'm having this time.

HowAboutNo · 18/04/2014 11:46

I was so so wrong. I convinced myself, I just knew. I know jack-shit!

Fivemoreminutesmummy · 18/04/2014 11:52

Interesting mix- around 50/50 which maybe supports the guesswork/ luck option!
I think having 2 boys already it's hard to imagine having a girl but there's always a chance.

I had really strong feelings that I was going to have a boy. I ignored all the girls clothes in the shops, called my bump 'he', and didn't even have a girl's name decided on 'just in case'.

Thankfully I was right! When the midwife said he was a boy, in my drugged haze I just said 'I know'. Grin.

Didn't have a clue with dd. I had no strong feelings either way (but we decided to find out anyway).

DioneTheDiabolist · 18/04/2014 11:53

Yes and yes. I knew DS was a boy. I asked the midwife, but she wouldn't say, citing Trust Policy. She asked if I had an inkling and when I told her said "often the mother's instinct is right".Smile

Eminybob · 18/04/2014 11:57

Yes! I was convinced he is going to be a boy before the 20 week scan, and it was confirmed by sonographer. I hope he's right as the bedroom is being decorated with a definite boy theme as we speak!

Boogles91 · 18/04/2014 12:02

Me nd hubby knew it was a boy :) just had that instinct feeling like you say lol and as im carrying at the back more i stook with the old wives tale lol then at 20wk scan there he was flashing his bits for us! X

livingzuid · 18/04/2014 18:32

I was totally convinced it was a boy. Dh was sure it was a girl. At the 20 week scan I was 100% wrong. Glad I found out then though although have to put up with his crowing about being right Grin

mawbroon · 18/04/2014 18:43

Yes. 100% success rate. x2 DSs

Squeakyheart · 18/04/2014 18:49

I was convinced it was a boy as everyone said boy due to bump and no morning sickness and I had a girl! Secretly pleased as I am a big sister and would like that for my little one!

GrassIsSinging · 18/04/2014 18:53

Nope. Was clueless with DC1 (boy) and convinced that DC2 was a boy (she is most def a she)...so no psychic feelings here.

Lucked · 18/04/2014 18:53

I guessed right both times, about then a girl. My DS kicked really hard and moved all the time to the point of me disliking and being uncomfortable with his movements. I was also massive with him and he was a big baby. DD was more sedate and smaller.

Of course I had a 50% chance of being right both times anyway so guessing right twice isn't that amazing

eepie · 18/04/2014 22:15

I thought it was a girl from the very beginning - at 20 week scan & subsequent growth scans it was confirmed - expecting a girl !! I've had lots of the classic old wives tales girl symptoms - craving sweets, fruits, fruit juice, ice lollies, desserts, cakes (these last 2 cravings especially unusual for me), not craving meat or carbs, bad sickness in 1st trimester, no hair growth on legs anymore, 'round bump' coming out at the sides like a basketball in my belly, softer skin etc.

Cookiepants · 18/04/2014 22:18

The night before my 12 week scan I said to DH we'll see him tomorrow. He didn't believe me. DS is here now and I was right Grin

MsVanRein · 18/04/2014 22:21

DP and I both had a strong feeling that've were having a boy when I was pregnant with DS. We were right!

I can't say what made me feel that way it was just a real gut feeling. We couldn't think of girls names we agreed on, called the bump 'he' and were drawn to boys clothes throughout the pregnancy.

themockingjay · 18/04/2014 22:25

Nope completely wrong both times. I was horrendously sick with ds and everyone from family to doctors receptionist told me I was having a girl so I was stunned to have a boy.

With DD I was utterly convinced she was a boy so much so I made the scan lady check 4 times Grin

MrTumblesCrackWhore · 18/04/2014 22:34

I had terrible road rage with ds1 so everyone joked it was the increased testosterone from a boy - they were right- and I now have a very testosterone fuelled five year old! I also looked the best I've ever looked - a colleague commented on this and said "boys give beauty and girls take it away". When pg with dd2, I was all sweetness and light but definitely looked a sight. I looked and felt drained constantly, and had none of the glowing skin and healthy hair I had with ds1. I thought I would be having a girl and was obviously right.

My bumps were pretty much identical both pgs so that wasn't an indication.

missmagnum · 18/04/2014 22:41

I kept dreaming it was a boy, felt 100% certain it was, only thought of boy names etc. Had it confirmed at 20 week's.

icklekid · 19/04/2014 05:57

I thought I would have some idea-28 weeks but I have no clue! Will be a total surprise!

Blueshine · 19/04/2014 07:35

I knew both times, I had a dream a few days before finding out each time of me holding my baby, and when they were born they were exactly the same! Kinda weird and worrying since I had a dream last night about holding triplets and am waiting to find out if I'm pregnant in the next few days!!

Rachie1986 · 19/04/2014 07:39

Had an inkling about it being a boy. Wanted a surprise though so didn't find out. Dreams etc were always a boy.

It was a girl!

I was happy with either but always sort of wanted a girl if that makes sense?

Dh thought she would be a boy too.

frankiebuns · 19/04/2014 08:51

God yes with my ds I was at work my boss came up to me out of the blue and asked what u havin I answered boy also weirdly I was drawn to boys clothes in early weeks, this time around complete opposite I was certain from day one it was a girl was drawn to girls clothes more I did waver for 2 weeks between boy or girl and was unsure but think it wa as I have a ds I was used to saying he but at 20 week scan deffo a girl

ScrambledEggAndToast · 19/04/2014 08:55

I was positive that DS was a boy. This partly game about from the fact that my ex-husband's side of the family hadn't had a girl for many years. However he did go on and have a girl with a subsequent partner Hmm I never referred to the bump as she/it as I was so convinced and I was right.
