A while ago I posted about my fears about the anomaly scan. Well, the scan is this Thursday and I don't feel much better about it. Any tips on dealing with serious worries?? I have no reason to be worried but I know there is about a 2% chance of a baby having serious problems (or something like that) and just keep thinking it'll be me. Just want the scan to be over!

Firstly VJONES1985 a huge congratulations!!! I'm so thrilled all is ok.

I have my scan 3 weeks today and am definitely anxious as fell pregnant over Xmas and new year and had absolutely no idea so was celebrating as people tend to do that time of year. Plus I'm 34 and a little overweight. I've also had that awful feeling that the baby has died inside me as I can't feel anything yet (am 18+3 with first) and I just feel a bit void. I can't explain why I feel the way I do and as much as I know the second trimester is to be enjoyed I'm really feeling quite anxious at the mo, and like a lot of you lovely ladies I'm a natural worrier too! Any advice gratefully received

Haha vjones that made me laugh, I can just imagine the sonographer saying 'congrats, here's a pic of my willy!'

Lmao i gathered it was of the baby :p we are going to call our lil man ashley-thomas :) and if it was going to be a girl it would have been courtney-louise x

Just had my 20 week: I'm having a boy :) he was moving about a lot so the sonographer had some difficulty, but got all the readings in the end. I was so so nervous before but glad it's done and everything is ok :)
