Hi there I'm nearly 39 weeks I've been getting period cramps on and off for over a week.

Today I've had cramping first thing but then all day been getting sharp niggling pains on my bump, my hips and lower pelvic area.

Like a feeling of some one pushing my hips in. I feel I'm getting some were like labour is approaching then it all stops.

Baby has been moving lots today like waves rather than jabs.

I'm so depressed feeling frustrated, no plug no waters just shooting sharp pains any body else get this :(

Yep. Crap isn't it? :( I'm due Wednesday and have had two evenings of thinking things were kicking off. She's a bloody tease this baby. Hopefully these pains are actually doing something though and it won't be long...

Doesn't help that everyone due in April on here seems to have gone early! Good luck

juliec26 · 07/04/2014 10:30

Me too was awake for hours in the night having sort of contractions .. Then feel asleep at 5.30am and woke up and nothing apart from feeling so tired I can't move off sofa .. Due Wednesday too and both previous dc had made appearances by now!!

Misty9 · 07/04/2014 10:50

You've reassured me that some people go to not past, please no their due date julie ! How are you coping with your other two? Nearly 40wks pregnant and an ill toddler do not go well! Peppa is now (back) on...
Good luck!

Sweetpea86 · 07/04/2014 10:56

Least I'm not the only one. It's comforting to here that labour came soon after for you Julie.

As well as theses little niggles and cramps I had a loose poo this morning and keep getting cramping feeling of needing to go for poo again....wish something would give me a clear indicator of something happening.

Thanks for replying ladies.

I've never poo'd so much as in this pregnancy! Tmi, but 2-3 times a day generally. I'm also getting the urges to poo feelings; I remember these well when I was overdue with ds, unfortunately I did always mean I just needed a poo Blush (induced in the end).

After getting seriously frustrated and low last week, I've decided to just ignore everything until I can't. Hopefully that won't result in a midwife-less birth though as ds was quick! Grin

Sweetpea86 · 07/04/2014 11:02

Yeah I feel a little like that keep googling every pain I've decided to do what you. Do and try and ignore every thing untill I can't.

Got a midwife appt at 1 today so hopefully she will make me feel less down in the dumps lol

Today my ds 3 is at nursery and my dd 8 has gone off for the day with my mum and sisters so making the most of it but I know that lying on the sofa with the duvet is not going to get this baby out ... Having never gone overdue not sure how I will cope if I do especially with dd on hols for 2 weeks ... But I can barely walk now ... Coping with 2 others is taking it's toll ... Keep doing my hypnobirthing cd in hope.. Sweep booked for 9am weds never had one so dreading it and will book some Acupunture Friday if this baby has not come! Fingers crossed out babies hurry up ??

3DcAndMe · 07/04/2014 11:14

I had this for three days with dc1 and a week with dc2
It's annoying when you feel it building up and then it just stops!

Dc3 on the other hand flew out in 5 hours from first twinge!

juliec26 · 07/04/2014 11:21

Oh that would be lovely ... Hoping dc3 will come quickly.. Although at 3am I thought I could have this baby by this evening ... Not looking likely now

3DcAndMe · 07/04/2014 11:25

I ate some chillis the evening before

Not a curry

Just the chillis

Maybe this helped?

Sweetpea86 · 07/04/2014 12:03

I'll try any thing chillis for tea tonight lol

juliec26 · 07/04/2014 12:44

As much as I hate them ... Think I might join you sweetpea

Sweetpea86 · 07/04/2014 17:15

Had my midwfie appt today and told about all pains she just put them down to baby been 3/5 engaged, even the period cramps. Gutted kind of needed her to say oh any time now.

But she then booked my 40 and 41 weeks appt lol I assumed she would of checked to see I'd dilated even a bit but she didn't so I'm bk at square one.

She also said they will induce me 13 days over I thought they would do it a few days over.

I know I've still got 10 days till due date but that's pretty depressing lol

Chilli it is

Oh no ... Has she said she will give you a sweep at your 40 week appointment? .. I realised no chilli's in fridge so might have to have sex .. Worked both times before x

Sweetpea86 · 07/04/2014 18:23

She talked about a sweep but I'm not sure if she meant it for the 40 week app. If i end up going to my 40 appt I'll beg her for a sweep lol.

Tbh I was 30 mins late going in to my appt then she rushed me out and I had lots to ask so I feel ever so slightly low after seeing her.

I know there pushed for time but there's been appt that have lasted for ages and haven't needed to then when I had lots to talk about she never discussed anything.

I've got spd sex is a no no lol I can't even sit on the loo for a wee without wincing lol

Try not to feel down .. I know it's hard as today I have sat on sofa all day and felt miserable ... Now watching polar express with ds awaiting Dh to come home... I have Spd too so I feel your pain as I can hardly move anymore .. Do you know if your having a girl or boy? If you want a sweep
Ask for one my mw is very pro saying what you want and making sure you get it .. She's says first times mums get bullied as they don't know any different and 3rd time round they assume your a pro... I am not and am more anxious than before .. Stay positive

Sweetpea86 · 07/04/2014 18:55

Thanks Julie this is my first and I'm having a boy.

Yes I will def ask for a sweep.

I know I'm such and impatient person and so scared of labour so I want it out the way. ( I'm sure most ladies feel like this)

Not to mention being overly excited to meet my little boy. Will be nice to see the face of who's been kicking me for months :)

Little boys are lovely .. Mine is cuddled up to me as I type ...i don't know the sex, but having a dd and ds I'm blessed so happy either way this time ... I feel same as you just want it over and done with, but if you have put up with the pain of SPD I'm sure you will be fine with labour and how I look at it labour pain is a few days max and the end is in sight .. plus there are so many options for pain relief .. I try and go with excitement feeling :)

Sweetpea86 · 07/04/2014 19:15

Thanks Julie how many weeks are you. Your right the labour will be worth it in the end just to hear your little boy is snuggled up to you melts my heart I can't wait :)

40 wks Wednesday .. Both my other 2 were a week early ... So feeling very inpatient .. The thought of going overdue and being asked daily if there is any sign feels me with dread.. I'm not helping things along as in too much pain

Sweetpea86 · 07/04/2014 19:55

Fingers crossed you won't go over due. I know I've started getting texts off friends and mil asking if I'm having any signs. I thought I was so was saying lots of cramping now I'm going to keep my mouth shut and just say no.

Really hope you get to meet your baby soon :)

OMG this thread was made for me - due Saturday with no. 2, no. 1 came a month early so have been expecting baby arrival literally any minute for a month now! Never realised how exhausting this can be, psychologically. Am always going to remember how this feels when people tell me they're overdue.

Had loads of period-style cramping over the last week and no result to show for it except frequent toilet visits, on top of that pretty nasty SPD, every day I've woken up and been upset to still be pregnant! Huffing and puffing and not getting much done except trawling MN for clues about early labour.

Bizarrely this morning SPD has vanished, had loads of energy and have decided to stop focusing on it - making the most of last few days with just my little girl. Have cleaned the house, even taken my lucky earrings out! However I'm so aware of the symptoms of early labour including the nesting instinct thing I'm not sure if it's real or not. Maybe the baby's just decided to stay in there!

Hang on in there ladies, glad to know I'm not the only one but two weeks from now we'll DEFINITELY have met our babies! Nice thought x

juliec26 · 08/04/2014 08:47

Woken up feeling miserable .. Started having pains and tightenings last night .. Felt sick etc went to bed .. Fell asleep tossed and turned and now just feel rubbish .. Worried how much bigger this baby will get every day it's still in there ... So much for 3rds coming quicker

Sweetpea86 · 08/04/2014 09:34

Hopefully that's a sign of things to come. I've been the same last night Julie, peiord pains were unbearable and sharp pains in my hips and tummy. Then at 4, On the loo for over half anhour with the runs (sorry tmi) still got cramps this morning but don't no if it's just normal.

Hope you get you baby soon xx
