I am not going to rant about being pregnant, I need something to giggle at so I am asking you ladies what are the things that have set you off do far.

I have cried my heart out over the following.

Not having any frosties to eat

My boyfriend went shall we say 'down south' and commented I'd missed a hair shaving

Not having any chocolate nesquick(?) powder (this was about an hour ago and my poor boyfriend drove round 5 shops to find it to come back and realise we only had enough milk for half a pints worth)

The new colemans sheppards pie advert

Reasons I can't remember by the time someone asks me what wrong

My visiting regional director at work asking if I'm ok (as in a general everyday way)

Because my farts smell so bad

Because my work trousers where still wet

My boyfriend not hugging me for long enough (after a 5 minute hug)

Because I found a hole in my leggins.

That's the main tantrums so far (I'm 16 weeks gone!)

Would love to hear some of yours

coffetofunction · 06/04/2014 21:40

I just cried at this feed, with laughed.... I'm 23 weeks & cry at every thing...

I cried at epic in the cinema yesterday...

Ant & December take away

Because I spilt reduced chopped carrots on the floor, followed but stamping on them & storming up stairs..

I cried the other day & when DH asked why I said "I don't know"

alita7 · 06/04/2014 21:50

at a simpsons episode...

because it suddenly occurred to me that I had two hearts in me andremembered my mum telling me that when she way pregnant she won sing "two hearts living in just one mind" not sure who the song was by maybe Phil collins?

PurpleWithaMysteryBun · 06/04/2014 21:53

DH wouldn't go to the shop for chocolate and salt and vinegar crisps and I just thought he was being so mean to me. Proper fat rolling tears. He went to the shop afterwards after having a good laugh and giving me a hug :)

Mumsnet. I was reading a thread about funny things MNers' DCs have said, I laughed so hard and at the same time thought how cute those little children were that I burst into tears, for ages, I was soppy and laughing all at the same time.

Almost anything to do with babies. Not really daft but it could just be a baby Gap advert or something similar and I'd still start sobbing.

I remember reading a similar thread and one MNer was on the kitchen floor, beside herself in tears. DP returns home and, naturally, is concerned and asks what is wrong. She wails that there is no yoghurt, at which point her DP reminds her that they never buy yoghurt.

That one has always tickled me Grin

They were talking about the Berlin Wall falling on the radio and then played Scorpions- Wind of change. I thought it was so lovely I cried.

I'm not German.

Misscocopops · 06/04/2014 22:31

Haha I'm loving these! Janjump I've been on the thread you started moaning but ypknowing there was others out there feeling like me cheered me up so I thought I could have a giggle. With the frosties the poor Boyfriend was late for a stag do and same as that other girl... We don't have a single box of cereal in our house yet I was so heartbroken over the frosties.

The Colemans advert was the worst - the one where the teenage girl breaks up with her boyfriend and dad doesn't know what to say so presents her with a sheppards pie - I was literally hyperventilating I was crying so hard and so long.

Just penny your comment cracked me up - bless him but force him lol! Say baby feels happy when you are ;)

Im the first out of my friends to be pregnant and was discussing the frosties incident with them. A friend had her uncles funeral 2 days before and I tried to explain the grief I felt over having no frosties was on oar with how she would of felt at the funeral and I can't explain why it's so heartbreaking. Needless to say it went down like a lead ballon but seriously it was like someone had died!

I love some of the sentimental ones coming out :)

Purple I'm pleased he went - mines like that - cant believe I'm doing it but goes then we laugh after when I feel less emotional.

Lol @ coffee 'ant and December' x

Because I couldn't bend down to get my shoes and my bf not cleaning his bowls, oh n because I was too full to have Chinese later lol

Iloveonionchutney · 06/04/2014 23:01

I cried because I had told dh the day before I fancied a McDonald's and despite me not mentioning it again for about 36 hours, he said he was going to cook tea! I was distraught that he was doing that when I still hadn't had my burger! I cried all the way there and after having a burger, cried all the way home cos it wasn't a nice as I expected it to be!

Boogles91 · 06/04/2014 23:46

Ur all lucky to have oh that will meet your demands....i simply get told to shut up and wait till the next day if i want something that bad, or we ent got the money so tough! Loool

DiddyBeth · 07/04/2014 00:06

I sat and sobbed in the bath because my boyfriend ordered a curry without asking me and I wanted chinese ... It seemed like a very serious matter at the time and he was thoroughly amused at my explanation that he should just know that I wanted a chinese Grin

hartmel · 07/04/2014 04:11

Following! Keep them coming. They cheered me up, as I had been most of the day in bed due to having crazy headaches. And caring for my 7 month old son
I'm 11 weeks pregnant with dc2

Bettycakes80 · 07/04/2014 08:16

Because I accidentally locked the cat outside for 5 minutes when it was raining and he got wet! I also cried yesterday at Toy Story 3.

MrsGiraffe12 · 07/04/2014 08:25

I was watching Gnomeo and Julliete with DS and there are two plastic flamingos on there who live in a garden and are in love. When the owners split up they both keep a plastic flamingo and the plastic flamingos cry as they get seperated. I bawled buckets and buckets

About a bloody plastic flamingo!!!

offside · 07/04/2014 08:28

I cried at the Barclays Premier League advert, with the Everton fan.

I cried when my DP took my boots off for me when I got in from work and he started rubbing my feet and said really concerned "oh no, have your socks been too tight?" They hadn't, my ankles/feet/toes were just swollen.

When my DP went out and came back 15 minutes later than he said he would be.

I've also cried on at least 2 occasions for reasons beyond me, often made worse by my DP hugging me and telling me I can cry as much as I need to if it makes me feel better.

RhubarbCrumble1 · 07/04/2014 11:26

I saw a dog with a limp going down the road. This was enough to set me off x

Dazedconfused · 07/04/2014 12:16

Similar to rhubarb, I saw a cat with three legs and could not stop (the cat was healthy otherwise and looked fine) but I was inconsolable

squizita · 07/04/2014 12:25

The dog food advert with the old man and his little doggy he takes to his wife's grave. Welling up thinking about it.

My sister sent me a youtube of the song "bright eyes" version by the Manics to commemorate Kurt Cobain dying. HOUR blood test.

A flat tyre this morning. Called my mum she thought I was ill, I just wanted the name of my Dad's mate who fixes tyres cheap.

squizita · 07/04/2014 12:26

blood test? BLUB FEST.

Predictive texting + constant nagging about preggo appointments = weird personalised results! Grin

Lula2515 · 07/04/2014 12:39

Squizita, that dog food advert got me too!
My most stupid one so far was when I couldn't flip my pancake on pancake day, but my bf did it first time. I sobbed for about 20mins!

coffetofunction · 07/04/2014 13:04

Oh ladies you have just made my day Smile

hubbahubster · 07/04/2014 13:30

Because the Fat Controller told Edward he was a very kind engine.

Yep.

CoolCat2014 · 07/04/2014 14:29

Because DH didn't buy me chips when I forgot to tell him I wanted some.... Shock

firsttimemummy2109 · 07/04/2014 14:35

I cried because I couldn't et my leggings on! And because I couldn't get out of the bath and we had a shortage of strawberry nesquik!

moggle · 07/04/2014 16:12

I cried at work this morning just thinking about a colleague of my DH, who I barely know, doing the marathon des sables (insane 6 days of marathons through the Sahara, started yesterday). Just thought about how he'll feel when he finishes it and I just burst into tears. I don't even know his surname!
