exciting stuff. As the very proud mum of 4 sons all I can say is - sleep if you can...but keep moving if you cant. I walked around for hours with my DS4. Was almost 41 when he was born - he was a very unexpected addition to our family they allowed me to go 20 days overdue....because I was wrong with my dates yes thats why he arrived with his primary school uniform on LOL.

I walked around our house for hours. Often on my tiptoes with the contractions. Got into hospital and he arrived about half an hour later.

I think u have the start of contractions. they're not regular as such but strong enough it's keeping me awake. It feels like a really heavy strong cramp but the last couple of times its felt as though I'm having tiny vibrations from the baby. is this normal...?

Ah thanks writer how is your lo doing now? well I'm having mild contractions, although they seem to have eased slightly now so I'm thinking I should probably wait before phoning the hospital especially as I am booked in with the labour ward at 8. I've hardly slept which is frustrating I feel like I've got a hangover and nothing to show for it

Sounds like you're coping brilliantly, keep it up and good luck. The most amazing moment of your life is so close now, no matter how you get there just focus on seeing that beautiful little face for the first time!

Have some food and take sugary sweets or snacks for energy if the mw will let you and try to relax your mind as much as you can. Thinking of you x

Ah woodland that's really nice thanks yeah am trying to focus on the outcome. I'm having mild contractions every 7 minutes on average lasting at least 30 seconds but they're not particularly strong

Sorry everyone yes I have been busy having baby snuggles 20 hours of contractions and finally baby was born at 06:06am today weighing 7lb 8oz
