I started leaking water around 9 and more over the past two hours. Clear liquid, no smell or blood. Haven't seen any mucus yet. Haven't called the hospital yet. Should I?I have a midwifed appointment tomorrow afternoon..should I just wait until then?

Countdown I have been induced three times never had any interventions try not to worry. I would insist on your dh being there though. In my local hospital the induction suite is a four bedded ward but partners can be there day and night.

Countdown, I was taken into wgh for induction (as it happened I went into labour naturally while on the induction suite so didn't need full intervention, bar a sweep) but rest assured it will be fine. I was very teary and worried too. Get a TV card, some magazines and some snack and take ear plugs so you can just try and rest up and chill tonight. I promise it'll go quick and be insistent the minute you want or decide to go for 'proper' pain relief, eg gas/ epidural etc and you will be transferred and allowed to summon dh. My only advice is to be insistent if that's what you want/ need as it's such a busy unit and you need to make yourself heard :-). Best of luck.

Soon - we are planning to insist that he stays with me . I really need him there. But they keep saying since it's an all women's ward he can't.

Thanks Upjacobs - I'm still only having period like pains. And it doesn't progress further. Was yours like that to start off with?

CountdowntoSummer · 29/03/2014 00:07

Thefuture/soonto - the delivery suite was busy when I rang at 9. They rang me around 11 and asked me to come in for monitoring. I'm hooked up to the monitoring machine now.

Just breathe through the contractions it really helps and squeeze dp hands! It helps too! Lol. You'll do great and will be having squishy cuddles soon. Xxx

Stom91 · 29/03/2014 01:17

That's meant to day reading and worry! Lol

CountdowntoSummer · 29/03/2014 01:30

Thank you Stom. Waiting for the drip now. I was not sure if I should go the epidural route or not. Have payed for gas and air and then progress to epidural later.

Bedtime in Canada. How's it going?

CountdowntoSummer · 29/03/2014 04:06

Hi all, doctor was in. Did an internal examination and said that baby engaged but neck of womb too long. If he puts me on drip higher chances of a csection. Good news was that the womb tissue was soft. So he did a sweep and put in a gel to hopefully start off contractions.
Keeping my fingers crossed that I start getting the contractions and can forego the drip.

Checking in again. How's it going?

CountdowntoSummer · 30/03/2014 02:51

Hi all, sorry to have gone AWOL. After the sweep things progressed rapidly, ended up having the drip and the epidural. Couldn't have survived without the epidural . From then on things progressed rapidly and my baby girl was born on Saturday the 29th of March at 17.30 pm.

Thank you all for being there for me.
