Is driving me mad. Is literally all day and I'm also really battling with food. The only thing I can eat / drink at the mo is milk. Anything else makes me feel really sick. Any tips? I've tried eating rich tea biccies, and at first that helped but now they just make me feel sick. It's so exhausting! Happy to be pregnant and can't wait for baby but not sure how much more of this I can take!! I'm only 7 weeks!! X

Today has been my first real day of nausea. Discovered that eating helps to ease the nausea, but then not long after I've completely regretted eating anything as it all comes back up again. :(

Bit worried about the lack of nutrition if it continues like this.

Partly hoping this isn't morning sickness and just a tummy bug, and partly relieved I'm getting real pregnancy symptoms.

Am also finding that a well fried egg on toast in the morning goes down well & settles my stomach. It causes no aftertaste or heartburn. Also it given me a good chunk of my nutrition so I have to worry less about what (junk) I eat the rest of the day! Grin

Im struggling with food too. Its coming back out of both ends too. Ive not left the hpuse today.

Toast, water, philly on crackers is my repetiore at the moment.

Last pregnancy I had a week of only being able to eat pickled beetroot - but only the tiny whole ones.

14 weeks here and still feeling nauseous for most of the day. Definitely worse in the afternoon/evenings. OH has suggested I "just crack on and be happy about our baby". I honestly do whatever I can when I feel better including walks in the sun, housework (including his laundry) but all I can manage this evening is resting and feeling sorry for myself. I am so happy about baby just hoping to feel better soon so I can function. Nausea is exhausting so sympathies to all other ladies suffering it and hopeless OHs.

I had allday everday morning sickness for the first 5 months was awful, i got prescribed some anti sickness tablets which helped (vomiting went from about 3-5 times a day to once or none) I found in early pregnancy that travel wristbands helped. I hope it goes away soon :-) x

Nades84 · 10/03/2014 17:46

You have my sympathy, I had all day sickness constantly until I was around 17 weeks and it was AWFUL! The only things that got me through were diet coke, ginger ale, cheese and onion walkers crisps and ginger sweets from Holland and Barratt. Now 31 weeks and luckily the only nausea I have now is caused by eating too much chocolate! x

How is everyone doing with nausea & other enjoyable symptoms? All well?

Kels13 · 14/03/2014 19:45

Hey SwimmingMom, just hitting 10 weeks and still throwing up at least 5 times a day :( Also still struggling with most foods and strong food smells. Docs put me on cyclizine as I was worried about how much weight I was losing and I took it just for two days. It made me feel even worse. Bad headaches, falling asleep almost at work and still sick! Miserable. Just praying it goes away in a few weeks. How are you doing? X

Plain water biscuits? Dry toast? Crisps? I feel your pain :-(

SwimmingMom · 15/03/2014 10:34

Kels - sorry to hear your plight. On the bright side you are 10+ so hopefully the end of nausea is near...

I am doing better. No throwing up but all day nausea & binge eating junk to keep the unease away. I am at 10+ too so am hoping it end of nausea days soon...

I've found that distraction sometimes helps - like going for a walk in fresh air, meeting close friends for a chat or watching a movie etc. Short lived relief, but one day at a time..

I'm 14+4 and nausea has started to lessen in the last couple of weeks. Started to feel sick shortly after week 6 and felt sick practically all day everyday! I also found sparkling water helpful along with cheese savouries (used to have to eat these everyday at work around 10:30am to keep from throwing up!) and ginger biscuits do help although you wouldn't feel like they would. Ginger is very good for morning sickness.

SwimmingMom · 25/03/2014 08:52

Hello everyone. Am nearly 12 weeks now & the nausea is adamantly still there! Am sure it wasn't this bad with DC1. Anyone who's a bit ahead & managed to shake it off - give me some hope please!

RhubarbCrumble1 · 25/03/2014 09:01

Nausea and vomiting are horrible!
I struggled till 9 weeks feeling sick, being sick, I felt weak and fed up until I had two weeks of taking cyclizine and then got my appetite back, started to put weight back on and cheered up. Still didn't feel great at 12 weeks but better when I'd eaten. I'm now 18 weeks and although still can't stand baked beans and the smell of the oven warming up am a new woman!

Hope it gets better but I would say that although we all want to avoid taking pills in pregnancy, it is certainly not a time to make yourself miserable and suffer.
