Hi Ladies,

Just after some advice as I'm breaking down and don't know what to do...sorry if this may contain TMI...I had a miscarriage in November so already fearing the worst :(

I started bleeding Friday morning but it was just discharge with a hint of blood and a small blood clot and I had no pains... My midwife has not got back after sending her a text as she doesn't start till 9am...

Been in contact with the hospital and they didn't seem to concerned as it was brown and it was after having inter course with my OH... But the bleeding has now turned bright red with blood clots getting bigger also it's only when I wipe and not on my liners and I do now have pain like period pain... Hospital has booked me in for a scan on Wednesday as my 12 week one is 2weeks away...

Should I worry and go to a&e to get scan??

Thanks in advance... As you can see its 3:30am so I'm not sleeping well

Charli xx

So sorry. I'm going through similar right now - please have a look at the miscarriage board on here, there are lovely lovely posters on there who will hold your hand and be super supportive.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that. Thanks

What has the hospital suggested for you now?
Is there anything we can help you with?

ksrwr · 26/02/2014 15:47

Thanks all I have a fantastic partner, family and some amazing friends that know...

Thanks for your kind words I know there's nothing that can be said that will make it any easier... Also had a best friend text me today to tell me she's pregnant which has really hit me hard, but she wasn't to know and in really happy for her as much as I'm hurting...

Armadale: Hospital has given me the options of what needs to be done and have given me some tablets to bring on a full miscarriage, otherwise I'd have to wait it out to happen naturally but wouldn't know when that would happen.

I'm dreading it and it's so much worse than just having a natural miscarriage

I have always found it better to proceed through things quickly once I was certain the pregnancy was over than to wait around not knowing how long it would take to start which is quite torturous in itself.

This thread has lots of good practical tips on it that might help you prepare.

It is rotten timing with your friends text, lovely news for her but must have been so difficult to get, you sound like a lovely friend.

Be gentle with yourself, this bit is really, really rotten, but you will get through it.

Duck I'm so sorry. Sending you hugs and thinking of you.
It has happened to so many of my friends and they have gone on to have children so don't give up x
