I think the pain was a bit of settling/stretching post chiro and potentially her dropping a bit in an odd position... I understand back to back babies often cause contractions in the back/bum

BlindKitty · 03/03/2014 19:54

Ah right, did wonder if you were about to have the first berry baby then!

CatsCantFlyFast · 03/03/2014 20:09

Puppy it's in post natal clubs and called graduated elderberries

Kitty, I had 20 seconds of wondering that myself!

PuppyMummy · 03/03/2014 20:17

BlindKitty · 03/03/2014 20:37

Doing a pregnancy photoshoot is such a good idea - will see if I can do one when I have a nice bump to show off (this week for the first time I definitely have a slightly domed stomach which is probably all displaced bits of me, but still nice to see!)

Merk, I hope you're just feeling a one off settling down pain and it goes away soon.

I should get my harmony test results a week today (10th). Am coping ok, keeping distracted as much as I can. It helps that the nausea and vomiting is mostly gone (yay!) so I can get out and do stuff rather than being stuck brooding and googling on the sofa. I do notice I have cut off a bit emotionally from the little one - don't quite dare to let myself connect too strongly in case the news is bad. One week down, one to go...

BlindKitty · 03/03/2014 21:47

Hang in there jess, not long now Brew

Thunderpantsarego · 04/03/2014 07:35

jess, glad you're feeling a bit getter. Less than a week til results now, which is good too.

merk ooo! Anything else over night? I've been having some periody pains and BH

puppy, how come you've got to go to hosp for antiD? I'm at an MLU and the mw gave me mine.

Grin at sid's inference of woman eating poo at a bridal shower

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/03/2014 09:35

Nothing else Thunder but she's lower than she has been before. I'm going to make a wild prediction that she will be here within a week. I have very little grounds for that, just feel like we are both ready (after I've packed a bag today Grin)

Thunderpantsarego · 04/03/2014 09:42

Oh merk that is SO exciting! Gut instincts are very strong things. How are you feeling?

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/03/2014 09:45

I'm ok. I keep getting struck by labour fear, but then I suppose its normal to be apprehensive. Other than that I feel better than I have for months!

Still happy for you to go first though Grin how are you enjoying mat leave?

jessplussomeonenew · 04/03/2014 10:35

Got the Harmony results this morning - low risk (1/10000) for Downs, Edwards and Patau. Wasn't expecting to hear from them so early as they only did the test 8 days ago! Hasn't quite sunk in yet but absolutely delighted.

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/03/2014 10:43

Jess that's fantastic news! So pleased for (all three) of you. Bet you're grinning all over Grin

SidneyBristow · 04/03/2014 11:56

JESS! That's fantastic!! What great news! and additionally thrilled for you that your results came in early. Did they call you, or email you?

merk glad you're feeling better; when's your tour of the other hospital?

really can't believe that two of us are on Berry Baby watch already...I remember when you all got your BFPs! Has it gone by in a flash for you all, or was there one trimester that seemed endless in comparison to others...?

blind and boom, how did you find your maternity photographers, and how far in advance did you book? I'd like to have a set done praying that I feel more attractive when the time comes than I do at the moment

Did anyone else feel like utter crap during week 7? Is this typically the worst time in the first tri or should I prepare myself to sink even further? I should have known that things had taken an unpleasant turn when I projectile-vomited a couple of times last week, including an episode after which I was blowing lasagne out of my nose Envy

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/03/2014 12:22

Sid the first tri is really awful, I remember having times when I wasn't sure I could get through it. Especially after wishing for the bfp for so long I felt so guilty not enjoying it afterwards iyswim. You should feel like a different person around 12 weeks.
For me it has all gone v slowly, though I found the second tri the longest -perhaps with being off work and being ill. Having said that, some of the sleepless nights seem pretty long now too Grin It is a long time though, 3/4 of a year of waiting!

jessplussomeonenew · 04/03/2014 13:03

I am wandering around with a rather foolish grin on my face and telling random people my news!

It is indeed exciting to have people so close to popping - fingers crossed for lots of easy births of healthy berry babies!

Sid, I had a call from the clinic this morning and they sent a report by email shortly afterwards. Sickness-wise I'm afraid week 8 was the absolute worst for me - it did start to get better after that though. Try to get as much rest as you can (lying down really helped me) and stay hydrated. Hope you start to feel better soon.

Thunderpantsarego · 04/03/2014 15:52

Hooray jess!! Fantastic! Did you ask to find out the gender too?

merk I am more than happy to relinquish my position in the list- I don't want WileyKit to arrive within the next week! Loving mat leave, but busy busy- got loads to get done. Feels great actually doing it.

sid of course we're all different but I felt my worse after around 16ish weeks I think. I wasn't sick loads but I remember one episode of feeling like acid was coming out if my eyes. Nice. For me the first tri was the slowest, and that was largely overshadowed by mc fear. The second two have gone quite quick and now time is going TOO quickly! I think it's down to being so busy.

PuppyMummy · 04/03/2014 17:16

good news jess

thunder dont know why. hav had all my blood tests done at hospital too. Just the flu jab at the drs surgery...

rang today at 12.45 and she had left...again! only there tues and fri and I hav an apt with her on fri so I might as well wait til then.

Anyone know if there is a window for anti-d? will it matter if I hav it after 28 weeks?

Thunderpantsarego · 04/03/2014 17:20

puppy how annoying having to make extra appointment for antiD had blood tests- you have another set of bloods coming up don't you?

I can't remember who mentioned being weighed? But I only got weighed at booking in and then at 36 weeks. I've put on 11kg- sounds like loads! Blush

Thunderpantsarego · 04/03/2014 17:21

Sorry meant to say I don't think it matters having it after 28 weeks but check on fri?

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/03/2014 17:26

I was weighed at booking but not since

Anyone else got swollen feet/ankles/calves? Not sure if or when to worry...

Thunderpantsarego · 04/03/2014 18:27

No swelling over here- always worth a phonecall merk

Boomgoestheweasel · 04/03/2014 18:27

Jess awesome news Grin so happy for you! Hope you enjoy blurting your news out, you definitely deserve it, even a 1ww is far too much!

Merk exciting! And so glad you're feeling a bit better too, that'll be the pre-labour glow then Grin Swollen feet and ankles really common, no other PET symptoms? Headache, flashy lights in eyes, epigastric pain etc? How swollen is swollen? Drink plenty and keep your feet above hips when you're sitting if you can, could try sticking them in a bucket of cool water too just to ease it a bit if they feel tight. One of the joys of late pregnancy I fear..

Sid I just googled pregnancy photographers in the area and had a look through their portfolios as I had a good idea of what style I wanted. Then I phoned a couple and went with the one whose voice sounded nicest! Excellent selection skills here...

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/03/2014 18:38

No other symptoms Boom. Have got them raised up at the moment so will see how they are in a bit. Is the first day they've been noticeably swollen - puffy ankles, spreading a little up my calves and across the top of my feet. They don't feel tight though, and my face doesn't look swollen.
I'm not sure whether to worry or not as I know its normal to have cankles!
