Crap, just realised it is only 11.30. Lunch might have to wait a bit, will have some grapefruit instead. Really want a cheese sandwich.

making a coffee cake later, OHs birthday today!

CatsCantFlyFast · 12/02/2014 13:26

Truly struggling with tiredness today, feel as though I am walking through tar. Want to sleep but have a wax appointment which I am keen to get out of the way (already moved it once this week). The thought of getting dressed and driving to the salon is defeating me though! Where has my energy gone??

Thunderpantsarego · 12/02/2014 13:29

Eating mini eggs over here. I agree with the others re snacking. Digestive biscuits were my best friend- kept a packet by the bed, in the car, at work....

Yeah merk I'm never a good sleeper when not pg but it's been much worse through the whole pregnancy. This is taking it to a new level tho. I think so much going on in life/my head doesn't help!

Thunderpantsarego · 12/02/2014 13:35

Does anyone know about achey legs? Mine are so uncomfortable and it seems unlinked to actual physical exercise or anything. What is it and can I make it go away?!

CatsCantFlyFast · 12/02/2014 13:38

Are you sure they're not swollen Thunder?

Foodylicious · 12/02/2014 13:48

thunder do you know if you are getting cramps at night? mine are achy after night cramps.
best this you can do is a combination of exercise and rest - exercise will help with the circulation, just a short walk will do. If you can, rest with them up with a couple of pillows under both legs (longways so support your legs strait as much as possible). Some ankle rotations and flexing/pointing your feet may help too!

Watch the vid here if you need a laugh
pelvicguru.com/2014/02/03/kegels-and-comedy-meet-gusset-grippers/

Its the #doyourblardyexercises woman and she's v funny

Thunderpantsarego · 12/02/2014 14:12

Yeah they're definitely not swollen and they're not cramping as far as I know foody, and I was awake for the majority of last night! When I'm resting they are very ready to cramp- I can just move a tiny bit and feel cramp coming on so I adjust again and it will pass. It's so weird tho, feels like I've walked up a mountain even after a pretty restful day. Thanks for the advice tho, I do bits of walking (to and around work and with the dog) and resting too- I'll prop them up now and see if it helps.

CatsCantFlyFast · 12/02/2014 14:41

If you feel close to cramps my only advice is to drink more water

Thunderpantsarego · 12/02/2014 15:11

Yeah not sure that's actually possible! So thirsty, particularly in the evenings, I'm probably drinking a litre or two in a couple of hours. Will keep trying to drink more tho. Loved the pelvic floor woman, she's great!

Foodylicious · 12/02/2014 16:05

Was going to suggest tonic water but have had a read and its another one off limits in pregnancy Hmm

Foodylicious · 12/02/2014 16:06

that sounds like a lot thunder how much are you drinking in 24hrs do you think?

Foodylicious · 12/02/2014 16:22

For those of you getting close...

CatsCantFlyFast · 12/02/2014 16:29

Dunno if it helps but I am that thirsty too, prob drinking a similar amount

Thunderpantsarego · 12/02/2014 17:06

It really varies foody, but it wouldn't be unusual for me to drink about 4 pints in a couple of hours of an evening. I'm not so thirsty in the daytime, so it's probably a couple of pints plus 3 or four warm drinks.

Sometimes I notice that even tho I feel like I've drunk loads my wee is quite dark... So I drink more!

I asked the mw a few weeks ago and she said it was quite normal. Hard work is what it is!

Will look at link now...

SidneyBristow · 12/02/2014 17:44

Ok guys, I see I have some apologizing to do for making pregnant ladies get weepy Grin sorry 'bout that! Can I come in or is there a Very Strict Requirement on how far along Chopper berries need to be??

I'm kind of nervous at the moment - had my hcg test today to confirm pregnancy, and the nurse called about an hour ago to say it was 323. She seemed really pleased and said anything over 25 is good. However I couldn't stop myself from googling and now, although I am confident there's something going on down there, should the hcg level be higher?? It looks like 323 is within the acceptable range but I see posts on the internet about how other people's are 1000+...FF is telling me I'm on CD33, and 19dpo.

I really don't want to be wondering about this for 48hrs so thought I'd ask for your experience - anyone else have blood test this early on, or know anything (good or bad) that might prepare me for Fri?

Confused
CatsCantFlyFast · 12/02/2014 18:02

Sid you're in the right place, this thread is here for all the worrying and questions, no matter how random.
What we've all found is that implantation doesn't necessarily take place on a schedule, ie its not x days post O. So because of the variance of when you O, when egg gets fertilised and then when physical implantation takes place your dates can be all over the place at this point. Eg I was dated nearly a week later than I expected to be at my first scan (which had me totally panicking). Therefore that will be the reason the HcG ranges are so wide at this point, and you're in normal range so try not to worry. In a none FC situation you would have got a BFP on a piss stick and had no other information; sometimes the extra info (blood tests, early scans) increases the worry as you try to compare it against what google deems as normal. Deep breath, hang on in there and take it a day at a time

Thunderpantsarego · 12/02/2014 19:11

Welcome sid and welcome to the worry chopper! Totally second everything merk says, and particularly about one day at a time. Super pleased for you that hcg levels are good- you are so upduffed!! Take that all those challenging people in your life- POW!!!

Bunnygirlie · 12/02/2014 19:31

Ah yes thunder is a wise berry!

Thanks for the advice merk yep all I want to eat at the mo is crap, I try to avoid bread as my IBS doesn't like it but there is no way I'm eating salad in this weather and I want sandwiches!

foody just had a maccyDs lol I think I am craving salt too! I have some crackers by my bed for first thing but they didn't help this morning. Can't stomach much water at the mo so drinking juice to keep hydrated.

Lost weight for Christmas party, at this rate I will be chucking loads on now! Grin

Welcome sid I found I clung to the copter rope ladder until my 6 week scan lol. No advice I'm afraid, I wasn't given blood tests.

So glad to have another early berry here, the others are all so close to popping Smile

CatsCantFlyFast · 12/02/2014 21:06

Bunny try not to worry about calories, your body & baby bunny need them and will use them to grow

Tallyra · 12/02/2014 21:19

bunny, the food advice is all good. you will not damage the baby by eating crap and you need to try and keep on top of things before you start to get dehydrated because that will make you feel even worse. I had a lot of cans of coke and ribena as that's all I could go for at one point, along with prawn cocktail crisps. bananas were also good for a while at the beginning.

Hi sid!!! I've got no advice but just want to welcome you over here. I'm so happy to see you here Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

BlindKitty · 12/02/2014 21:20

bunny tbf the copter is becoming quite a scary place (just as much my fault as everyone else!). Before I'd 'come out' my friend's little girl asked if I had a baby in my tummy! Quite sure her mum had said I wanted one! Such a risky game to play with someone ttc for so long! Could have gone horribly wrong!

brod I think we've all been too preoccupied with bunny (let's blame her anyway Wink)

Well if it isn't mrs b!!! Come on in (someone lock the hatch before we scare her out!!). My trust doesn't even do blood tests as they reckon it makes people more paranoid and also because they probably can't be arsed to pay for them. Try not to worry (yeh yeh I know, pot calling kettle) and try to enjoy it Smile
